Al-Jabar : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika, with registered number p-ISSN: 2086-5872 (print), e-ISSN: 2540-7562 (online), is a scientific journal published by Mathematics Education IAIN Raden Intan Lampung. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate new theories and research results that have been achieved in the area of mathematics education. Al-Jabar: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika, particularly focuses on the main issues in the development of the sciences of mathematics education, mathematics education, and applied mathematics. Al-Jabar, has been published since 2010, and starting from 2015, has been published online. Al-Jabar: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika published twice a year, the period from January to June and July to December. This publication is available online via open access.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) and Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning models on mathematics achievement that reviewed students mathematical reasoning abilities. The research method applied is experimental research. The type of research used is quasi experiment research. The research design used a 3 × 3 factorial design. The research sample was taken using cluster random sampling technique. Data collection used is using two types, namely documentation and tests. The instrument used for data collection consists of tests of mathematical reasoning abilities and tests measuring the ability of students learning achievement. The test of mathematical reasoning ability is in the form of multiple choice test questions, while learning achievement tests are in the form of objective test questions that contain the sequence and series material according to the indicators measured. Hypothesis testing used is a parametric test with data analysis techniques using the Anova test. The results of the prerequisite test were carried out based on the normality test which can be known by using the Liliefors test and the homogeneity test can be known by using the Barlett test. two paths with cells are not the same. The results of this research review, namely there is the effect of TGT and NHT learning models on students mathematical reasoning abilities; Mathematical achievement with the TGT model is better than mathematics achievement with NHT learning models and Conventional learning; and students with high mathematical reasoning abilities have better learning achievement compared to moderate and low mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

The aim of the research  to know the level of student  problem solving skill of  Senior high school students on their  mathematical problem and activity concentration. The object of the research was conducted  at one of Senior high school of Cimahi. the Subject  of the research  is all  twelve grades of Senior high School Students of Science Program in Cimahi. The research used descriptive qualitative research to describe the student analysis error on doing the question of problem solving ability. The data of the research was found using diagnostic of series and rows and also student questionnaire. Data collecting technique used Miles and Huberman concept  that are reduction data, reporting data and draw the conclusion. The result of the research are: (1) the level of the ability to solve the problem is still low (2) the common student error did not understand the questions and have no ability to communicate in mathematical form. (3) the student’s activity is rated strong. Some solutions can be given to increase student problem solving ability through practice or question drill structured  and gived the variety questions as material practice.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning difficulties of PGSD students in Basic Mathematics Concept II lecture which is viewed from the location, type and factor of student learning difficulties. From the results of research conducted obtained: 1.The location of learning difficulties of students in learning materials data processing on the subject of Basic Mathematics Concept II is on the indicator: determine the mean, median, and mode for single data with 75.478 percentage, 2. the types of learning difficulties experienced by students in the subject matter of the basic concept of mathematics II are the types of procedural and skill errors with each percentage of 27% and 20%. Therefore, it is important for students to understand and master the concept of the material and understand the procedures (skills) done in solving a problem.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a mathematical learning media using Geogebra software. The research method is used the 4D (Four D Model) research method adopted by Siva sailam Thiagarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, and Melvyn I. Semmel. namely, define, design, develop. The data collection techniques are used to obtain the data on questionnaires response and interviews. The instruments in this research used questionnaires. The data analysis method using descriptive method. This research is conducted by describing the results of product development in the form of learning media for small groups and large groups with media that has been validated by some validators. The Experts of validation results on the content quality aspect to obtain results with very good criteria and on aspects of the language to obtain results with very good criteria. Trial students VII class in small classes and large classes obtained results with interesting criteria for small groups.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to investigate the effect of the learning models on the learning achievement in Mathematics viewed from the spatial ability of the students. This research used the quasi experimental research method with the factorial design of 3 x 3. The samples of the research were taken by using the cluster random sampling technique. The data of the research were analyzed by using the two-way analysis of variance with unbalanced cells.The results of the research are as follows.1) The cooperative learning model of the STAD type results in a better learning achievement in Mathematics than the cooperative learning model of the TAI type and the direct learning model, and the cooperative learning model of the STAD type results in a better learning achievement in Mathematics than the conventional learning model.2) The learning achievement in Mathematics of the students with the high spatial ability was better than that of the students with the moderate and low spatial abilities, and the learning achievement in Mathematics of the students with the moderate spatial ability was better than that of the students with the low spatial ability. 3) There was an interaction the aforementioned learning models and the categories of the spatial ability on the learning achievement in Mathematics of the students.

Abstract

This research and development aims to 1) to determine the feasibility of developing mathematics learning media using the Macromedia Flash application program, 2) to find out the attractiveness of students responses to the development of mathematics learning media using the Macromedia Flash application program. This research was carried out using the Research & Development (R & D) method using the modified Borg & Gall development procedure, which is 10 stages, with only limited access to the 7th stage. Data collection techniques using validation questionnaire sheet. The instrument used was a validation questionnaire sheet to determine the feasibility of the module and questionnaire for student responses to find out the interest. Data analysis techniques used in research and development are quantitative descriptive to process data in the form of scores from the validators assessment and student response, while qualitative descriptive to describe the data in the form of commentary suggestions for improvement from the validator. Based on the results of the validation of the development of mathematics learning media using the Macromedia Flash application program an average score was obtained; (1) the feasibility of developing mathematics learning media using macromedia flash application program results of the validation of material experts obtained an average of 3.73, on linguistic aspects obtained an average of 3.64, on the aspect of feasibility evaluation obtained an average of 3.66, on media experts obtained on average (aspects of media efficiency obtained an average of 3.87, aspects of the function of the buttons obtained an average of 3.5 and the Graphical aspect obtained an average score of 3.4). (2) attracting the development of mathematics learning media using the macromedia flash application program students responses obtained an average score of 3.61 in the "very interesting" criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the feasibility of research-based learning materials with problem solving and problem posing oriented of Mathematics Statistics. This research is a development research refers to the instructional development cycle by Fenrich (1997). Data collection techniques by observation, tests, and closed questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis (mixing method). The results: (1) a valid Semester Learning Plan (RPS) both in content and construct, Student Activity Sheet (LKM) based on research and a Learning Result Test (THB) assessment sheet with good and very good assessment from the validator that can be used with few revision, (2) positive response from students to teaching materials amounted to 88.67%, (3) effectiveness of teaching materials was seen based on student learning completeness of 78.20%and better compared to classes that are not taught to use research-based learning teaching materials developed. The development of research-based learning materials with problem solving and problem posing oriented are valid, practic and effective that suitable for use in Statistics Mathematics learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to determine customer perceptions of food outlets located on Lampung Walk and to find out the similarities between food outlets on Lampung Walk using Multidimensional Scaling analysis. The methods used in this reseach are descriptive method and analytic survey using inferential statistics. The research places are the food outlet of Kedai Urang, el’s coffee, dimsum moresto, pondok hijau and sup duren ewok. The results of this research known that the highest customer perceptions is in Kedai Urang with affordable price attributes, more portions, good taste, neat and clean presentation. So that for other business developers can pay attention to the attributes of consumer perception for business continuity.

Abstract

The problems in learning mathematics, especially comparative material, have not combined with religious theory in the learning process. The merging of Knowledge , especially mathematics with the knowledge  of religion is very important, because in addition to getting mathematics, the student will directly learn about the knowledge  of religion. The comparative learning using the Nisab Zakat theory will encourage  to bring out reasoning abilities and students think creatively, and innovative in solving the problem. The aims of the research is to find out how the influence of applying of HLT toward the student's reasoning on the third semester of Education of elementary teacher department  in STKIP Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung. The research method of this research is quasi-experimental design. Data collection techniques are tests with hypothesis testing using t-test statistical formula. The average value of pretest before HLT applied in learning is 64.7 with a minimum value of 49, and a maximum value of 75.8. While the value on the post-test after being applied to HLT obtained an average value of 86.4 with the minimum value of 67 and the maximum value of 100. Then with this it can be concluded that there is a positive effect of the application of HLT (Hypothetical Learning Trajectory) comparison material using the Nisab zakat theory on results Student learning mathematics comparison material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok berbantuan perangkat lunak maple, dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan pembelajaran model investigasi kelompok, maupun peserta didik yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional yang dilakukan oleh peneliti pada peserta didik kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental semu dengan desain posttest only control design. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji anava satu jalan dengan sel tak sama dan didapat kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok lebih baik dari model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok berbantuan perangkat lunak maple dan kedua model pembelajaran tersebut lebih baik dari model pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan terhadap data penelitian diperoleh bahwa terdapat pengaruh pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang dikelasnya menerapkan model pembelajaran group investigation berbantuan software maple, siswa yang dikelasnya hanya menerapkan model pembelajaran group investigation, dan siswa yang kelasnya menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional pada pokok pembahasan matriks.
