Abstract

This article supports expressing play activities in social conflict material to increase student empathy. Class action research (CAR) which consists of 4 stages namely; (1) Planning, (2) Implementing, (3) Observation, and (4) Reflection. PTK is conducted in two cycles in class VIII C with a total of 32 students. From the implementation process proves that with direct assistance through role playing, students can experience difficulties in direct interaction with the social. This happened because in some students the drama of totality. Can argue with role playing students can build empathy to respect other individuals.DOI: 10.17977/um022v4i12019p007

Abstract

In learning of Social Sciences (IPS) character education can be integrated in the process of learning activities associated with the context of everyday life. Understanding of the material relics of history patterned kingdom of Hindu and Buddha too difficult if you rely on the transfer of knowledge from teacher to student. Impressed learning Social Science (IPS) at junior level that causes less optimal learning process becomes drab as well boring. In addition, cultivation of character values do not appear in the learning process. Thus the need to develop character values in learning activities by using certain learning media. Abstract

This article aims to commemorate an extraordinary event called Industrial Disaster. This disaster occurred a long time, where the source bursts can not be stopped until now. Casualties are quite a lot, there is even a village wiped off the map, because the entire surface of the devastated hit by the mud. Settlement of sosial problems has just ended after the Government granted bail money as payment of "compensation". Compensation become a controversial term because basically what happens is buying and selling. Sure to two terms the consequences of each, which of course there are those who benefit the contrary there are also losers. Abstract

Educators at the top of the line offering basic concepts toward mental revolution that build awareness creating role models. The glory of the profession as an educator is the second leading fort after the parents that need to have enlightened attitudes. The purpose of this paper is (1) to provide knowledge of educators on the line, (2) gives a conceptual representation to be educators in the top line, and (3) providing knowledge attitude of educators on the line to welcome the Asean Economic Community (AEC). Educators at the top of the line will be effective in facing the MEA as a barometer of success educators views of learners produces. The essence of the concept of educators on the line should earlier have and practice ourselves to be educators in the top line resulting learners over the line include skills (1) responsible, (2) freedom, (3) a solution, (4) the willingness and (5) selection, or abbreviated to "Terkesimalah". Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the project-based learning social studies consumer perceptions of student character. Consumer perception of the character of this research is focused on the consumption of environmentally sound because it was found that the students are less concerned about the environment, especially the cleanliness class. This type of research including quasi experimental, aimed at assessing the effect of an action learning on students' perceptions before and after treatment. Subjects were students of 2015 batch S1 IPS which follows the introductory economics course. The instrument used to measure the consumption of environmentally sound perception using a questionnaire with Likert scale. Based on the homogeneity test the cognitive abilities of students conclusion has a homogeneous character and definitive experimental group and the control is done randomly. This study analyzed SPSS 22.0 for Windows using independent sample T-test. Results of the analysis showed that there were significant differences between the control and experimental class class. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of project-based learning IPS effect on consumer perceptions of character. In project-based learning allows students trying to construct their own knowledge and actively involved in seeking information so it is expected that students are able to connect theory gained with the existing reality in the environment.Keywords: Project Based Learning, Perception Character consumption http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um022v1i12016p065

Abstract

This research aims to describe the character education cooperation that occurred in the learning curriculum of elementary school students in 2013. The study was conducted by literature studies and preliminary study in four schools in the city of Malang in order to adjust the results of the study of literature with the circumstances that happened at school. The review of the literature it is known that the character of cooperation can improve the ability to interact and confidence of students. However, in practice found any constraint from outside and within the educational environment. Constraints on the outside in the form of social changes that change the values, norms, culture becomes a free nation, while the constraints thatcome from within the education environment includes mind-set, education policy and curriculum. Abstract

Every generation has beliefs, values, cultures, perspectives, interests, and different skills for life and work. The generation born in the early 2000s when the rapid development of such technology referred to as generation-z or net generation. Characters of this generation is very sensitive to technology and communication, meaning they have an advantage in the field of information and knowledge development. While the educators who were born in an earlier era are still not familiar with it so that educators often claimed to be "clueless" (stuttering technology). To address this need no new innovations in the learning process so that it complies with these characters. Combines conventional learning with communication media such as whatsapp and google drive is one easy solution social studies lesson on the generation-z. Learners who are accustomed to communicate using social networks can access the material and lesson plans that have been prepared with structured each meeting. So that they can read or prepare questions before the learning begins. The proportion of the use of e-learning in this study reached 35% so that it can be summed up as learning blended learning. This learning to stand on its information technology infrastructure and can be done anytime and anywhere. Abstract

Indonesia consists of various regions separated by the Strait and the sea, both the outer islands and the outlying and less developed regions (3T). This contributed to difficulties in the distribution of development efforts, due to the distance that must be taken to reach the center of government. These conditions cause uneven quality of education. Thus, it is necessary to enhance the quality of education in the outer islands and the outermost regions lagging through character education for students. However, the reality is not in accordance with the appropriate conditions. This paper aims to identify the conditions of the students in the outermost, and lags well as analyzing the corresponding character based learning applied to students in order to increase competitiveness in the global era in the outermost regions leading and lagging. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the character of the students in the outermost, and behind is a lack of patriotism, hard work, creativity, responsibility, discipline, and love to read. Character-based learning are applied to students in the area 3T is the integration of character education in schools and subject culture, such as an increased sense of patriotism through the use of Indonesian was good and true in every learning and always start with singing the national anthem. Abstract

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the integration of cultural values of ethnic Bugis Makassar in learning Social Geography as one of the strategies to face the Asean Economic Community (AEC). Local cultural values is an important issue that should be studied in study Social Geography. This new face is needed to adopt a variety of strategies including local cultural values in the learning process. Planting the values of the local culture in the learning process is expected to offset the influence of foreign culture that is increasingly prevalent in our society, especially South Sulawesi. Culture Bugis Makassar as one of the local culture that is growing and developing among the Bugis Makassar, has an important element that can increase the motivation of learners, namely the concept of Siri 'and Pacce.
