Abstract

This study aims to explore and identify the concept of science contained in “Tangkul” and mapping basic competence of science in Junior High School. The study was descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were the Sipin Lake community and science education experts. The data collection instruments used were observation sheets, interview guides, and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively using the Miles and Huberman analysis model (data collection, reduction, display, and verification). The validity test of the data used is the triangulation technique. Tangkul is a traditional fishing gear in Lake Sipin form of trap nets were hung using bamboo. The working mechanism of Tangkul uses the principle of a simple aircraft, namely a net as a load, a pole as support, bamboo as a power arm and a load arm. At the time of lifting the nets, the fishermen draw power with muscle force smaller than the load. The mapped basic competency is in class VIII, i.e., basic competency 3.3 Explain the concept of effort, simple plane, and its application in everyday life including muscle work on the structure of the human skeleton.

Abstract

The limited number of potato seed caused the demand  The demand to be unfulfilled especially in South Sulawesi. The use of pathogen-free seeds is absolutely necessary that can be obtained through tissue culture. This study aims to determine the effect of adding coconut water on the growth of in vitro potato plant cuttings and the most effective type of treatment. This research used Varying Concentration of the coconut water, then measure its effect on potato growth (a high number of leaves and plantlets). This study consisted of 4 treatments: TQ0 (without coconut milk), TQ1 (100 ml/l), TQ2 (150ml/l), and TQ3 (200 ml/l). The results showed that the addition of coconut water on the growth of micro cuttings of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) gave significant effect on the observed parameters, leaf number and plantlets weight. While TQ2 gave the best effect on the growth of in vitro micro cutting of potato.

Abstract

Biointerpreneurship learning by using comics is one of the contextual learning and can train students' creativity and cognitive abilities. Therefore this study aims to determine the effectiveness of bioentrepreneurship learning using comics, by studying student creativity, students' cognitive abilities, and student responses. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method of nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The instruments used for data collection include observation sheets, pre-test post-test, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the creativity of the experimental class students was better than the control class, the cognitive abilities of the experimental class students improved better than the control class, and the responses of students in the experimental class were included in the strong criteria. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that learning bioenterprenership using comics effectively increase student creativity, students' cognitive abilities, and positive response from students

Abstract

Professionalism in teaching is needed in the Curriculum 2013. As many as 54% of the 68 students stated not yet familiar with the scientific approach. The average value of didactic concept mastery is 55 under the minimum completion criteria. The objectives of this research are to (1) test the effectiveness of the application of simulation methods on the professionalism of prospective teachers; and (2) analyze student responses. The research design is Posttest Only with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Data of the simulation method was analyzed by a descriptive method. One sample t-test is used to know the achievement of the average mastery of pedagogic competence. The Independent t-test was addressed to know whether the average value of professional competence of the experimental class is higher than the control class. The response was analyzed by Likert scale. The result of the research shows that: (1)  the simulation method of science learning on the professionalism of prospective teachers in IAIN Kudus is effective; and (2) Student response to the positive simulation method is 79,00% from 31 students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Levels of Inquiry learning to students’ science literacy skill of class X on a concept of Archimedes law. This research is a quasi-experimental study with the design of the matching only pretest-posttest control group. Subjects in this study were students class X SMA Negeri 1 Baradatu (n=72). The type of data produced is quantitative data. The result of this research is in conventional learning (control class), obtained mean score of science literacy skill pretest score 37,5 and mean of posttest score 48,95, while at levels of inquiry learning (experiment class), the science literacy skill obtained means of pretest score 40.97 and mean of posttest score 72.91. Hypothesis test of science literacy skill of sig 2-tailed 0,00 because of sig <0,05, meaning H0 rejected H1 accepted, hence can conclude that levels of inquiry learning have significant influence to students’ science literacy skill of class X in Archimedes law concept at SMA Negeri 1 Baradatu.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran levels of inquiry terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas X pada materi hukum Archimedes. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain the matching only pretest-posttest control group. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Baradatu berjumlah 72 orang peserta didik. Jenis data yang dihasilkan adalah data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pada pembelajaran konvensional (kelas kontrol), diperoleh kemampuan literasi sains siswa rata-rata pretest 37,5 dan nilai rata-rata posttest 48,95, sedangkan pada pembelajaran levels of inquiry (kelas eksperimen), kemampuan literasi sains diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest 40,97 dan nilai rata-rata posttest 72,91. Uji hipotesis kemampuan literasi sains ditemukan nilai sig 2-tailed 0,00, karena nilai sig < 0,05, artinya H0 ditolak H1 diterima, maka dapat disimpulkan model pembelajaran levels of inquiry berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas X pada materi hukum Archimedes di SMA Negeri 1 Baradatu.

Abstract

The research was aimed to reveal the difference between learning achievement of the students involving taught by using media interactive Compact Disk (CD) media and worksheet and interactive compact disk (CD) media and those taught by using conventional media. This was a quasi-experiment research. The population of this research was class IX of SMP Negeri 5 Kerinci. The researcher then chose class IXC as the experimental class I taught by using interactive CD media with a worksheet, class IXD as the experimental class II taught by using media interactive CD media, and class IXE as the control class taught by using conventional method. The data it was analyzed by using One Way ANOVA and Post hoc Tukey HSD. The results of One Way ANOVA test is Fcalculated (13,76)>Ftable (3,45). Based on the hypothesis acceptance criteria, if Fcalculated >Ftable, HI was accepted. After analyzing the data by using Way ANOVA, the data then was tested by using Post hoc Tukey HSD, and the result were: the result of te study suggested taught by using media interactive Compact Disk (CD) media and worksheet and interactive compact disk (CD) media had significant effect on the learning outcome, which means media interactive Compact Disk (CD) media and worksheet and interactive compact disk (CD) media had positive effect on the biology learning outcome.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan media CD interaktif disertai LKS dan media CD interaktif. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen semu. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas IXC sebagai eksperimen I, sedangkan siswa kelas IXD sebagai eksperimen II dan siswa kelas IXE sebagai kontrol Analisis data menggunakan uji Anova satu arah dan dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjutan (Post hoc) Tuket HSD. Hasil penelitian uji Anova Satu Arah adalah hasil belajar  Fhitung (13,76) > Ftabel (3,45). Berdasarkan kriteria penerimaan hipotesis jika Fhitung > Ftabel, maka H1 diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media Compact Disk (CD) interaktif disertai LKS memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar, artinya penggunaan media Compact Disk (CD) interaktif disertai LKS berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar Biologi.

Abstract

Research was conducted to determine whether there is 1) the relationship between the state of the family of learning achievement, 2) the relationship between the state schools of learning achievement, 3) the relationship between communities of learning achievement, and 4) the relationship between the state of the family, school and community environment against learning achievement. This research is associative quantitative correlational analysis techniques. The results showed: 1) There is a positive relationship between the state of the family of learning achievement, the result of the calculation shows r table> count r ie 0.51 > 0.38, 2) There is a positive relationship between the state schools of learning achievement, the result of the calculation shows r count> r table is 0.39 > 0.38, 3) There is a positive relationship between communities of learning achievement, it is shown from the results of calculations, the count r> r table is 0.51 > 0.38, and 4) There is a positive relationship between the state of the family, school and community environment on achievement study, it was shown from the calculation, the concordance coefficient 0,95 and the value of significance (p) of 0,00 <0.05.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the practicality of learning model "PRODUKSI" to the process of learning execution and student learning activities. The research method used is experiment with one-shot case study design. The location of the research is at SMAN 2 Bojonegoro and the research sample is chosen by purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation and then analyzed based on data characteristic with descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results showed that: 1) PRODUKSI learning model can be implemented and successfully support communicative project-based physics learning, and 2) learning activities during the implementation of PRODUKSI model involves project activity and communicative learning, where each learning activity emphasizes on the realization: student-centered learning, social interaction and collaboration among students, creative freedom and independence to students, as well as an active and interactive learning environment.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kepraktisan model pembelajaran “PRODUKSI” terhadap keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain one-shot case study. Lokasi penelitian adalah di SMAN 2 Bojonegoro dan sampel penelitian dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan karakteristik data dengan deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) model pembelajaran PRODUKSI dapat dilaksanakan dan berhasil mendukung pembelajaran fisika komunikatif berbasis proyek, dan (2) aktivitas belajar selama penerapan model pembelajaran PRODUKSI melibatkan aktivitas proyek dan pembelajaran komunikatif, di mana setiap aktivitas belajarnya menekankan pada terwujudnya: pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa, interaksi sosial dan kolaborasi antar siswa, kebebasan dan kemandirian berkreasi pada siswa, serta suasana belajar aktif dan interaktif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya fakta bahwa  kenyataan di lapangan, tidak sedikit sekolah-sekolah yang tidak menyelenggarakan praktikum dalam pembelajaran biologi. Kontribusi praktikum dalam meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap materi pelajaran dapat terwujud apabila siswa diberi pengalaman untuk mengindera fenomena alam dengan segenap inderanya.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) untuk mengkaji profil kemampuan generik siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis praktikum, 2) untuk menganalisis perbedaan kemampuan generik siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum, dan 3) untuk mengkaji respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis praktikum pada sub pokok bahasan sistem  indera.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, tes dan angket. Design penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretes-posttest control group design dengan menggunakan satu kelas (Purposive Sampling), yaitu kelas XI IPA 2  berjumlah 30 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Karena sebaran data berdistribusi normal dan homogen, data hasil tes kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Paired Sample t Test.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pencapaian profil kemampuan generik siswa memperoleh hasil yang baik dengan kriteria cukup baik dan kriteria baik. Hasil uji Paired Sample t Test menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikasinya (2-tailed) 0,000. Karena Sig. 0,000 < 0,05 maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Dengan demikian terdapat terdapat perbedaan terhadap profil kemampuan generik siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis praktikum  bersifat positif dengan kriteria kuat dan sangat kuat.  Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Generik dan Pembelajaran Berbasis Praktikum.
