Abstract

The book is an asset for a student to add insight and knowledge. A student can not just expect the  material of his teachers, but also must independently seek  lecture material to supplement and clarify the material received in class. One way is to buy a book of lectures. This study aimed to determine the effect of motivation and attitudes towards decisions to buy book of lectures on S1 students of STIE Indonesia Banjarmasin. This research is quantitative with descriptive analytic design. The population in this research is 246 students.  The  samples  are  152  students  were  taken  by  accidental  sampling. Instruments  used  in  the  form  of  a  questionnaire.  Univariate  analysis  of  data  in  the form of a frequency distribution, and in multivariate linear regression. The  results  showed  that  students  were  motivated  moderate  (65.8%),  high  motivation (29.6%) low motivation (4.6%). To the fact that most have a positive attitude (97.4%), negative  attitudes  (2.6%).  As  for  the  decision  to  buy  a  book  of  lectures  largely decided to buy  a book of  lectures (74.3%) and decided  not to buy a  book of  lectures (25.7%). Simultaneous testing showed that Fcount = 19.278 >  Ftable = 3.06. Partial test for  motivation  variables  show  that  tcount  =  1.790  <  ttable  =  1.976,  for  the  attitude variable tcount = 4.684> ttable = 1.976. The  conclusion  of  this  research  is  that  the  motivation  and  attitude  simultaneously influence on the decision to buy book of lectures. Partially, motivation does not affect on the decision to buy book of lectures, but attitudes influence on the decision to buy book of lectures. Keywords: motivation, attitudes, buying decisions

Abstract

This  study  aimed  to  analyze  techniques  of  the  bank’s  health  assessment  and determine  which  strategies  should  be  done  in  order  to  improve  the  health  of the bank. The method used is the approach of Risk (Risk Based-Bank Rating) in accordance with Bank Indonesia Regulation on Rating Bank that PBI Number: 13/1/PBI/2011  which  entered  into  force  on  January  1,  2012.  Bank  health assessment  performed  using  four  (4)  factors:  Risk  Profile,  Good  Corporate Governance (GCG), Earning, and Capital.Object  of  this  study  is  PT.  Bank  Pembangunan  Daerah  Kalimantan  Selatan period  2012.  The  results  showed  that  the  health  of  banks  in  PT.  Bank Pembangunan  Daerah  Kalimantan  Selatan  getting  ranked  2,  meaning  can be  categorized  good.  Strategies  to  improve  the  health  value  of  a  bank  is  to improve aspects of Earnings and Capital. Abstract

The research method used explanatory quantitative research, with 334 people population. Sampling technique used was simple random sampling and stratified random sampling with the samples of 182 people who served as respondents. For data analysis, the tool used was multiple linear regression (multiple Linear Regression) using SPSS software ver. 19.0. The  results  of  this  study  concluded  that  the  variables  of  job  satisfaction  and organizational commitment had significant positive effects on the performance of the employees of Bank Kalsel both simultaneously and partially.Keywords: Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment and Performance.

Abstract

This study has the purpose to analyze the infl uence of leadership styles and motivation on employee performance that exists in PT Asuransi Astra Buana, especially on Two Wheelers and Health division. The result has shown that leadership style and motivation are a positive signifi cant effect the employee performance.  Leadership  style  is  the  most  infl uential  factor  on  employee performance than motivation, whereas the most dominant leadership style is transformational leadership style.Keywords: Leadership, motivation, performance, multiple regression analysis.

Abstract

This research as “Effect Fundamental Factors toward stock return of Transportation’s Company”. Aims analyzed fundamental factors to haven influence stock return of transportation  company at Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). Fundamental factors such as Earning Per Share (EPS), Book Value Per Share (BVS), Price Earning Ratio (PER), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Asset (ROA), and  Return On Equity (ROE).Methodology research used purposed sampling with criteria as 1. Stock of Transportation company which listed  fm th. 2009-2013. 2.Stocked was trade at Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI). Sample totally 13 and data analysis with multiple regression of ordinary least square and hypothesis test used F statistics and t statistic at level significance 5%.Analysis result is fm totally 6 (six) of fundamental factors, only Price Earning Ratio (PER), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Return on Asset (ROA) significance influance stock return of 13 (thirteen) transportation company at BEI, while others are not significance.The future result suggested to expand other fundamental factors and suggested to add more variabels so can get better result.

Abstract

Customers purchasing products is the main goal of marketing, so that factors that influence purchasing decisions are important to be known. This study aims to analyze factors that influence motorcyle purchasing decisions. It is hypothesized that external factors, internal factors and lifestyle influence motorcyle purchase decisions. The population used in this research was motorcycle buyers in the city of Banjarmasin. 150 respondents were taken as samples using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling approach. The analysis technique used in this research is a structural equation model (SEM) and the hypothesis is tested by using statistical analysis with 18.0 AMOS program.The results of this study indicate that (1) external factors have direct and significant effect on purchasing decisions; (2) internal factors have direct and significant effect on lifestyle; (3) internal factors influence the purchase decision through lifestyle; and (4) lifestyle has direct and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Based on the research results, it is suggested that external factors have the most dominant direct influence toward the purchasing decisions and the variables that have highest index are marketing activities with dimensions of price, product, promotion, and marketing place, so that the variable of the marketer should focus and pay deeper attention to the marketing strategies, but still considering the external and internal factors. Lifestyle factor with the indicators of activities, interest, and opinions have a strong influence to the purchasing desicion. This can help companies to match suitable products that are going to be sold with the lifestyle of the consumers.

Abstract

Android smartphones are the cellular products that currently become  phenomenal and popular among students. The customers’ experiences and the influence on the users’ satisfactions are interesting topics to be investigated.This research was conducted to investigate and to analyze the influence of customers’ experience dimensions, such as: users’ sensing, feeling, thinking, acting and relation by their satisfaction, both simultaneously and partially on the students of Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin. Non-probability sampling method was used through purposive method sampling for 60 samples. The hypothesis was tested through doubled linear regression analysis.The first tested hypothesis results were found that the independent-variables of customers’ experience, such as: sensing, feeling, thinking, acting, and relation which directly influenced their satisfaction among students as the users. The second tested hypothesis results showed that only three variables of customer experience (sensing, thinking, and relation) that significantly influenced the customers’ satisfaction; furthermore, the feeling and acting variables did not directly  influence  customers’  satisfaction  significantly.  These  results  also  showed  that  the relation variable  dominantly contributed to customers’ satisfaction partially if this variable was compared with other variables (sensing, feeling, thinking and acting). Keywords: Customers’ experience, customers’ satisfaction

Abstract

This  study  aims  to  identify  and  analyze  quality  of  service  (as  variable indefendent)  are  services,  personnel  skills,  health  care  costs,  availability  of drugs, and environmental security effect on patient satisfaction (as a variable defendant) in the public health services in health centers S.Parman Banjarmasin. The research was conducted in March until May 2012, using a random survey of  100  respondents  from  the  community  in  the  Kecamatan  Pasar  Lama  and surrounding  Antasan  Besar  and  enjoy  the  health  center  at  a  public  patient, patient’s health insurance and public health insurance.The results of this study indicate that the quality of service is service, personnel skills,  health  care  costs,  availability  of  drugs,  and  environmental  safety  and simultaneous  partial  effect  on  patient  satisfaction.  All  variables  indefendent positive  and  signifi cant  impact  on  patient  satisfaction  and  the  availability  of drugs  is  the  most  signifi cant  variable  impact  because  the  main  objective  to restore  the  patient’s  health.  Satisfaction  index  S.Parman  comsidered appropriate. Keyword : Health service quality, patients satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the infl uence of labor discipline, motivation and leadership  as  an  independent  variable  either  partially  or  simultaneously  on employee job satisfaction as the dependent variable on the company PT. Bumi Barito Main branch of Banjarmasin. The research uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 39 employees of PT. Bumi Barito Main branch of Banjarmasin. Measurement variables by using a Likert scale with a score of 1 to 5 scale. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression statistical techniques and to test the signifi cant level using the F test and t-test with SPSS all assistance.Partial  results  of  the  study  showed  that  labor  discipline  and  a  signifi cant positive effect on job satisfaction, motivation variable positive and signifi cant effect on job satisfaction and leadership variable positive and signifi cant effect on job satisfaction. The results showed that the variables simultaneously work discipline, motivation and leadership, and a signifi cant positive effect on job satisfaction.  Of  the  three  independent  variables  studied  variables  that  have the greatest infl uence / motivation is the dominant variable in the regression coeffi cient of 0.464 or 46.4% on job satisfaction compared with the other two independent variables.Keyword : Discipline Work, Motivation, Leadership, Job Satisfaction

Abstract

The  purpose  of  this  study  is  to  investigate  and  analyze  the  infl uence  of organizational culture on employee performance and motivation of employees especially  front-liner.  The  unit  of  analysis  in  this  study  is  the  front-liner employees  in  branch  offi ce  environments  Banjarmasin  South  Kalimantan region. Respondents used at this research as 58 employees, by census sampling technique. Measurement variables using Likert scale, and use analysis multiple linear regression with SPSS.The results show organizational culture variables positive and signifi cant effect on the performance of employees, also with motivational variables positive and signifi cant effect on employee performance. Cultural and motivational variables together (simultaneously), signifi cant positive effect on employee performance front-liner.  Based  on  these  results,  the  implications  for  the  Bank  of  South Kalimantan is that in supporting organizational culture and motivation also need to pay attention to and improve the quality of potential employees front-liner for example by providing the opportunity to continue the education (like education for services excellent care, education and personality development) and engage in training (like training on banking products, training on risk management, especially with regard to transaction services and risk transaction), so that it can improve employee performance front-liner.Keywords: Organizational culture, motivation, performance, employee frontliner, multiple regression analysis.
