Abstract

This research based on the need for the visualization of physics learning material that is both abstract and still uses conventional media in learning which have an impact on the motivation of students and the results of the study. In this research, researcher developed a physics learning media by using prezi software on dynamic electrical subject and has tested run at SMAN 1 Simpang Empat. The research purpose to produce a feasibility of physics learning media would be use in learning. As for the specific purpose of this research include: (1) describe the validity of learning media based on validation of media experts, (2) describe the practicallity of learning media from implementation of RPP, (3) describe the effectiveness of learning media based on cognitive learning results of students. The research was implemented by using the method of development research by the Dick and Carey design and the products developed is physics learning media based on zoomable presentation. The results showed: (1) the validity of the media learning valid categories by a few revision, (2) practicallity of media learning based on implementation of RPP is practical categories, and (3) the effectiveness of the learning media is rated with THB effective value. It was concluded that the physic learning media using prezi software to improve the learning results of prezi is feasible used in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students physics learning outcomes of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Torue by using learning cycle 5E model assisted with computer simulation. Design of this action research methods follows the model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart and it was done in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages of planning, implementation of action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study are students of class VIIE SMP Negeri 1 Torue which amounted to 24 students. They consist of 13 male and 11 female students. The research material for cycle I is “form of substance” and cycle II materil is “expansion”. In this study, data were collected through observation and student activity, test of action result and interviews. On the evaluation of cycle I, we obtained classical completeness about 65.21% and classical absorption was about 68.26%. Student activity is in “enough category” with percentage about 78,25%. Teacher activity is in “good category” with 85% percentage. In the second cycle, we obtained learning classical completeness about 86.96% and classical absorption about 81.96%. Student activity and teacher activity are in “very good categories” with percentages of 90% and 96.67%, respectively. It was concluded that the implementation of 5E learning cycle learning model assisted computer simulation can improve student learning result of VIIE grade SMP Negeri 1 Torue.

Abstract

During this time of learning in school are still conventional, so it causes the students’ sciences process kills. To that end made efforts to improve sciences process skills using the experiment methods that has a specific purpose describe; (1) the feasibility RPP through the experiment methods  (2) the students sciences process skills through the experiment methods and (3) student learning outcomes after the implementation the experiment methods. This type of research is a classroom action research using the Kemmis & Taggart model design. Data collection techniques such as observation, assessment, tests and documentation. Descriptive data analysis techniques such as qualitative and quantitative. results showed: (1) feasibility RPP reached done very well, (2) increased The students’ sciences process skills with good category, (3) improved student learning outcomes with classical completeness amounted to 86.21%. So it can  concluded that the experiment methods can improving students sciences process skills class X MS 5 SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Low of student learning result in science researcher doing lesson because the students are rarely directly involved in learning. Therefore, research that aims to improve learning result. This research aimed to describe (1) teaching materialize, (2) students’ learning result in cognitive aspect and (3) student activity. The method used is a Kemmis & Mc Taggart classroom action research model, with each cycle countain of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection steps. The subjects of this research were 36 students of VIIIth A grade. Technique of data collecting is learning result test, observation sheets, and documentation. Results of this research shown that by applying quantum teaching model (1) teaching materialize on 1st cycle categorized good, on 2nd and 3rd cycles is excellent, (2) completeness of students learning result improve concucivelly individual completeness percentage on 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles are 69,44%, 77,78% and 94.44%, (3) student activities improve in every aspect with good categorize, except aspects asking questions aspect to teaching, not relevan behavior and express opinion on 1st cycle is categorized good  enough, but on 2nd and 3rd cycle improve with consecutivelly categorized good and excellent. The conclusion that to in order to improve students learning result of VIIIth A grade SMP Negeri 26 Banjarmasin can improved by using quantum teaching model on pressure subject.

Abstract

This adversely affects the learning outcomes. Therefore research material development through an approach Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) which aims to develop teaching materials such as lesson plans, worksheets, THB, and material teaching approach Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL). The specific objective of the research to result in: (1) the validity of teaching materials school physics problem-oriented topics fluid wetlands through Contextual Teaching And Learning approach; (2) the practicality of teaching materials school physics problem-oriented topics fluid wetlands through Contextual Teaching And Learning approach, and (3) the effectiveness of teaching materials-oriented high school physics topics fluid wetland problem through an approach Contextual Teaching And Learning. Development of research methods to the design of Dick and Carey. Data obtained through the instrument validation sheet materials, instruments keterlaksanaan RPP observation sheets, and test. The results showed that: (1) teaching materials declared invalid by the high category. (2) teaching materials developed otherwise practical with very good category. (3) teaching materials developed that was declared effective in the high category. Research concluded that high school physics teaching materials problem-oriented topics fluid wetlands through approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is declared unfit for use.

Abstract

Student worksheet that used on learning activity in SMP 1 Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin is still boring handout. So, this makes students be lazy to understanding physics concept. So, because of that used development reserach on studentwork sheet on physics learning use (Children Learning in Science) is worthy. Especially this research purpose to describe : (1) the validity of student worksheet is developed, (2) the practically of student worksheet is developed, (3) The evectiveness of student work sheet is developed. This research refers to development model of Kemp. The sample that we got from validation sheet of student sheetwork; RPP; THB, observation sheet of RPP, and the result of student learning outcomes sample. Sample has anylized by quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results of this research is: (1) Student worksheet that developed is stated by valid with few revition by two validators, (2) Student work sheet is stated practice by RPP implementation with very good category, (3) Student worksheet is developed is efective and it is from gain score with medium category. We can conclude is development of student worksheet on physics learning use model CLIS in SMP 1 Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin is stated worthy to used, because it is fulfill with valid, practical and efective category.

Abstract

This study is base on the low of media’s aplicability. But actually in the case is medias’ aplicability can help teacher to drill the students’ aplication concept. The purpose of this study is to produce physich learning’s media that suitable to use in drilling students’ aplication concept. The specific purfose of this study are (1) to describe the validity of physich learning’s media, (2) to discribe the practically of physich learning’s media based on lesson plan implementation during physics learning process, (3) to describe effectiveness of physich learning’s media based on students’ result test. This research and development used ASSURE (Analyze learner, state objectives, slect modify or design materials, utilize materials,require learner response and evaluate) design. The product result from this study is physich learning’s media with macromedia flash about optics. The study shows that: (1) The validity of learning media is categorized as good validity with a little correction, (2) the practically of learning media based on lesson plan implementation during physics learning process is categorized as practical, and (3) efectiveness of learning media based on students’ result test is categorized as effective. The conclusion of this research and development is physich learning’s media with macromedia flash is suitable to use in drilling the students’ aplication concept.

Abstract

Students worksheet in the school during this time only contains description and questions. For this reason, the study is aimed to know about the worthiness of LKS Skill Oriented Sains Process on Subject Optic Geometries. The purpose of this study (1) to describe the validity of LKS based on test validity, (2) to describe the practical LKS which develop based on the learning implementation, (3) to describe the effectivity of LKS which developing based on students’ result of learning, scientific attitude, and Skill Oriented Sains Process. This research by using design of the study development, that is developing stage that adapted model Dick and Carey. The subject of this study is the researcher who has role as teacher and student is the eleventh grade students of Senior High School. The result of data analysis shows that the worthiness of LKS Skill Oriented Sains Process by using Learning Model Guidance Inquiry is the validity of LKS categorized as valid. The implementation of RPP is very good. The effectivity of LKS is effective. The conclusion is the development of LKS Skill Oriented Sains Process in Optic Geometries Subject Using Guidance Inquiry fulfill the criteria suitable to use.

Abstract

The background of this research is because 79,33% of students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin have not reached the value of completeness in Middle Semester test. This is because students tend to memorize the concept, but do not know how the concept is obtained, and not able to apply the concept in a new situation. This study aims to analyze differences in learning outcomes by using the 5E learning model and Generative Learning in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin. This research is a quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. Based on the technique, obtained sample that is class XI MIPA 2 and XI MIPA 4. Instrument of this research is test result of learning, that is pretest and postest. Data analysis technique using t-test. The results showed that there are differences in learning outcomes of learners between the 5E learning model and Generative Learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify student’s misconceptions on heat subject matter. For identifying student misconception, heat conceptual test instruments are developed. These test are three-tier essay and open-ended test items. These tests are validated by expert and tested empirically to 94 students. Based on empiric test, the validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and distinguishing matter are determined. The subject of this research is grade X Mathematics and Science Program SMAN 7 Banjarmasin that consists of 34 students in second semester of the academic year 2014/2015. This class is chosen by cluster random sampling. Data are analyzed qualitatively by data reduction, coding, data display, and conclusion drawing. Based on the data analysis, it is found that there are misconception and the test instruments can be used to identify student misconceptions.
