Abstract

Empirically, be mentioned that punishment and reward giving effect on the motivation of student learning. Motivation that increasing will effect on result of student learning is still low. Therefore, researcher interested in doing this research with the goal to reveal the effect of reward and punishment giving on the result of student learning. The research population was all students of VII grade in Junior High School 9 Banjarmasin amounting to 306 students with the samples are 32 students of VII F class as the control class and 32 students of VII G class as the experiment class. The methods of data collection through testing and non-testing methods . The type of research is a quantitative research of experimental with pretest-posttest control group design and the methods of analysis are used include validity test, reliability est, preliminary test and t-test to tested the hypothesis. The research found that the population average between the control and experiment class are the same or there is no difference of the population average between the control and experiment class. The conclusion of the research that the effect of reward and punishment giving all together didn’t effect significantly on the result of student learning.

Abstract

Learning device for teaching materials electrical power and energy in IXE classes SMP 24 Banjarmasin need to be developed using a model of problem-based learning (PBL) to practice the skills of thinking and solving authentic problems that students’ learning completeness based on MCC can be achieved. This research aims to descripting the wothiness of electrical power and energy teaching devices that developed oriented on Problem Based Learning model noticed by devices validity, LP carried out, authentic problem solving skills, learning completeness, and student’s respons. This research included as developmental research refer to development research model according to Dick and Carrey. Research subjects are researcher and 34 students of class IXE SMPN 24 Banjarmasin. Research Instrument that used is validation sheet, LP carries out observation sheet, authentic problem solving skills obsetvation sheet, result study test, and student’s respons questionnair. Data analyzed by using quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative descriptive. The Reasearch result indicate that the categories of devices validity is valid, LP carries out is good, authentic problem solving is very good, students’ learning completeness are complete, and student’s responds is good, with the result get concluded that the suitable of learning devices for electrical power adn energy oriented to problem based learning model that developed and tested at SMPN 24 Banjarmasin categoried suitable to use.

Abstract

The low of student learning outcomes in learning physics because the response to science learning still low and lack of availability of physics module SMP/MTs which connect Qur’an with science. It is necessary for research that aims to determine the feasibility of physics module class VII SMP/MTs based interrelation of the Quran and science. The special purpose, namely: (1) the validity of the module, (2) implemented of RPP, (3) student learning outcomes, and (4) student’s response. The development of physics module refers to the ADDIE model, namely: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. Subjects were 33 students of class VII B SMP State 17 Banjarmasin academic year 2013/2014 as a test grade. Data collection technique used instrument validation module, observations, test results of students’ learning and questionnaire responses. The results of research and development showed that: (1) the validity of modules on validation material is excellent category, validation media is excellent category, and validation interrelation is good category, (2) implemented of RPP in the excellent category, (3) student learning outcomes at the first meeting in quite effective category, second meeting in quite effective category, and third meeting in less effective category, (4) students’ response in good category. We concluded that the feasibility of the physics module class VII SMP/MTs based interrelation of the Quran and science in the worthy category.

Abstract

The reason of activities about the development of teaching material about substance and its form’s lesson with the principle of creative thinking ability for junior high school at class VII-A SMPN 15 Banjarmasin because creative thinking ability of students is to lack and the students are less able to understand the book package. The aims of this research are (1) describe the validity of the developed teaching material, (2) describes the creative thinking ability of students after they use developed teaching material, (3) describe the response of students to developed teaching material. The method of research activities is the research and development with ADDIE model development (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). Techniques for collecting the data is used validation sheet, observation sheets, and questionnaires. Analysis data techniques are used validity of theoretical (logic), and calculation of average percentage based on predefined category. The results of activities showed that (1) developed teaching material in category very valid and can be used as learning media of substance and its form’s lesson, (2) creative thinking ability of students after they use the developed teaching material in category very good, (3) response of students to developed teaching material in category very good.

Abstract

Penggunaan media pembelajaran di sekolah SMP Negeri 15 Banjarmasin masih sangat rendah terutama penggunaan media komputer, yang berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan umum penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada/tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan media animasi dan media slide, dengan tujuan khusus untuk (1) mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media slide; (2) mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media animasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi  experimental design. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara penggunaan media animasi dengan media slide terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 15 Banjarmasin, berdasarkan uji t  menunjukkan nilai asymp sig. 2-tailed sebesar 0,043. Hasil ini didukung oleh data-data: (1) hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media slide berdasarkan nilai pretest dan posttest terdapat peningkatan dari nilai rata-rata siswa 46,5909  menjadi 68,7652; (2) hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media animasi berdasarkan nilai pretest dan posttest terdapat peningkatan yang lebih tinggi dibanding hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media slide yaitu dari nilai rata-rata siswa 44,6970  menjadi 75,0000.

Abstract

Teachers should be able to choose the method of learning that can help students in learning physics, namely the method of problem posing and problem-solving method. The purposes of this study are : (1) describe the learning physics skills by using problem posing method, (2) describe the learning physics skills by using problem solving method, and (3) know difference between learning physics skills by using problem posing method and problem solving method in class XI of Science SMAN 6 Banjarmasin. The type of this research is quasi experimental study. The sample consists of two groups, there are class of experiment I (class XI IPA 2) , and class of experiment II (class XI IPA 1) at SMAN 6 Banjarmasin. Data collection techniques are test and documentation. Data analysis uses prerequisite analysis, normality test and homogeneity test, then F test. The results of the research show: (1) learning physics skill that uses problem posing method has average 76,1  it is in good qualification, (2) learning physics skill that uses problem solving method has average 83,6  it is in good qualification too, and (3) the result of hypothesis examine shows that a difference in learning physics skill, which the value of probability in F test of learning physics skills is 0,013 < 0,05 that H0 is rejected, it means that there are difference in learning physics skill between the experiment class 1 and experiment class 2 on impulse and momentum material.

Abstract

Test form that is given to students allegedly related to cognitive ability. Therefore, conducted aimed research at investigating the effect on cognitive abilities test form students of class XI science SMAN 4 Banjarmasin in subject work and energy. The specific objective of this study are to describe (1) the cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class I drilled essays, (2) cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class II drilled multiple choice, (3) find out whether or not the influence of the use of the test form essay and multiple choice on students cognitive abilities. The study population was all students totaling 104 students with a sample of 57 students. Techniques of data collection through interviews and achievement test. This type of research using quasi-experimental study with the method of analysis used includes validity testing, reliability testing, difficulty level testing, different power testing, requirements analysis testing and ANOVA test (F-test). The results of research that: (1) the cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class I drilled essay mean 60.5912, (2) the cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class II drilled multiple choice means 62.6696, (3) there is the effect of using the form of essays and multiple choice tests to students cognitive abilities. Fratio = 4.6999 > F1:112 = 3.93. Be concluded that there is the effect of the test form to cognitive abilities students.

Abstract

Low activity of students during the learning is caused by lack of instructional media. It is necessary to develop an insctructional media which is fun to make students active and motivated. The purpose of this research is to produce playing cards and handout which are proper for learning model type make a match to train students activity during the learning. This study is a research and development that used ADDIE (analysis, design, develop, implement, evaluate) as a development model. The subject of this research is students at seventh grade of SMPN 24 Banjarmasin. The instrument of collecting data are the sheet of validity media, activity assessment instrument, and questionnaire responses. The result of this research shows that (1) the playing cards developed is valid used as instructional media for learning model type make a match by a little revision, (2) handout which is developed is valid used as instructional media by a little revision, (3) the average of students activity in every meeting include visual, verbal, motor and emotional aspect give activity level of very active, (4) students give excellent response to the quality aspects of media, the influences of media and studying acting and also a good respons to the material.

Abstract

The purpose of education in Indonesia is creating someone who is not only qualified but also has character. This is consistent with the base conceptual of the curriculum 2013which based on competency and character. To support this research was conducted to develop teaching material based character education that specifically aimed to: (1) describe the validity of developed teaching material, (2) describe the achievement of students on the desired character, and (3) describe the response of students to the developed teaching material. This research is a research and development which is referred to the model of learning development Kemp. The subject of this research are 32 students of VII D class in Junior High School 31 Banjarmasin. Data is collected using the result of pretest, validity paper of teaching-learning, observation paper for the character, and student’s response questionnaire. The teaching material on the thermal expansion based character education is valid with little revision and can made the students achieve the desired character and also got the positive response by students with the category is very well. This case be brace that the teaching material developed able to support the implementation of curriculum 2013, which is curriculum based character and competency.

Abstract

Learning physics only to training remember and understand aspect the causes of passive students and inhibit the development of thinking on a higher level. One reason for the development of curriculum 2013 is training critical thinking skills. Therefore, research that aims to develop critical thinking skills worksheets based on the subject matter of heat to support the implementation of curriculum 2013. The specific aims of this study describes: (1) the validity of student’s worksheet, (2) critical thinking skills of students after using the student’s worksheet, and (3) students response to student’s worksheet. This type of research is the development of research ADDIE model includes the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Research subjects are 30 students of class VII-F Junior High School 24 Banjarmasin. Collecting data through sheet of validity, sheet of critical thinking skills, interviews, observation,  questionnaire responses, and documentation. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive. Results showed (1) the validity of student’s worksheets based critical thinking skills in a very valid category and in the category high reliability, (2) critical thinking skills in the excellent category, and (3) students response to student’s worksheet in the excellent category. Be concluded that the student’s worksheet based critical thinking skills developed in the proper category.
