Abstract

The research on “Light and Optics” using cooperative learning model types of STAD based audio visual media was conducted. This study aims to find out students improvement, motivation and student’s achievments, student’s and techer’s activities on STAD based audio visual media. This research used classaction-research design with 2 cycles. Subjects were students of eighth grade of Junior High School 2 Tanta. Totally, there were 19 students involved on this study. Data was collected by using achievement test, questionnaires, and observations. Subsequently, data were analyzed by using qualitative descriptive technique. The result showed that by using “STAD based audio visual media, student’s achievments on Light and Optics increased from 84,21%  on the first cycle to 89,47% on the second cycle. Student’s motivation and activities increased from good category  on the first cycle to very good category on the second cycle.Key words: Cooperative learning model types of STAD, audio visual media, light and optics.

Abstract

Abstract. This study concerning the effect of the use of the model-assisted learning Team Assisted Individualization media concept map. This study aims (1) to determine differences in cognitive achievement between students who use learning model Team Assisted Individualization media aided concept maps with students using the learning model without assisted Team Assisted Individualization media concept map on the material hydrolysis of salt (2) determine students response to learning model using Team Assisted Individualization media aided concept maps. This research method is a quasi-experiment. Samples were students of class XI-Sains 1 and XI-Sains 2 in MAN 1 Banjarmasin numbered 74 people. The research design used was the nonequivalent control group design. Collecting data using achievement test and questionnaire responses. The data were analyzed using t-test with a significance level of 5%. Techniques used for the analysis of the percentage of responses. Calculation of the t-test showed that tcount> ttable therefore concluded that there are significant differences in learning outcomes between experimental and control classes. As for the response of the students as much as 75.08% gave a positive response in the experimental.keywords: model team assisted individualization of learning, concept maps, learning outcomes, hydrolysis of salt.

Abstract

Characterization local clay ceramic in South Kalimantan  have been conducted in body system consisting of clays Nagara-Quartz-Feldspar with optimization using ternary triangle. The resulting ceramic body characterized by X-Ray Diffraction, and physical properties testing. The results showed that of the 15 compositions obtained six compositions that appropiate the SNI. with optimum combustion temperature 1100 o C. The optimum composition of ceramic body system Nagara clay 43.15%, 22.84% 34.01% quartz and feldspar with a total shrinkage of 8.71%, the modulus of 184.8 kg/cm 2 broken modulus and water absorption 12.21%.Key words: Nagara clay, ceramic body, shrinkage, broken modulus.

Abstract

Implementation of collaborative learning model STAD-Make a match on the classification of hydrocarbons learning, was studiet. This study aims to (1) improve student’s participation and performance in learning chemistry (2) develop a chemistry learning activities that can stimulate students to learn more and (3) improve student learning outcomes. This study used action research class design with twice cycle. Research subjects were 23 students of class XA SMAN I Tanta Tabalong. The research instrument concist of written test objective and non-test instruments such as questionnaires and observation. This research concluded that (1) The use of collaborative learning model STAD - Make a match improved student participation XA SMAN I TANTA with excellent category in classification Hydrocarbon learning and stimulate students to learn more (2) student’s learning outcomes increased although not the constant in the second cycle, but does not affect the 100% mastery learning (3) learning with collaborative methods STAD - Make a match no longer focus only on teacher activity but make students more active in learning.Keywords: STAD, Make a match, student participation, learning outcomes, classification of hydrocarbons

Abstract

The constructivist paradigm for the instructional design to facilitate not only the thinking processes but also the social interaction processes. As such, Group Investigation and Inductive model in learning science. In Group Investigation (GI) models, learning to work together productively as well as to interact socially and effectively in a small group to problem solving. A variety of skills, for example, interpersonal, problem solving, and study skills would be needed. In Group Investigation and inductive models could sharpen the students‟ ability academically as well as socially; the application of  GI models could increase students‟ activities and process skill during the learning  process science. Futhermore, the students showed their enthusiasm and high motivation in doing their tasks, presentations and discussions. Besides, their attention, concentration, interaction, creativity, cooperation in group and their work in problem solving. Cooperative learning type GI could increase the students‟ achievement in learning Science.In Inductive models, student as center in learning process. Student learning is constructed knowledge and teacher facilitate to true understanding about material learning.  Thus, the GI and inductive models could be applied as one of the alternatives in learning science at school because it could increase the students‟ enthusiasm and also the students‟ learning achievement. Abstract

Abstract. Improving Students’ Achievement By Using Guided Inquiry Model By Helping Students’ Worksheets (LKS) At Buffer Solution Material For Students Of XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 12 Banjarmasin In Academic Year 2012/2013 . A research of buffer solution material has been conducted in XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 12 Banjarmasin. This research is aimed to find teachers’ and students’ improvement in activities, students’ achievement (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor) and response to the learning by using guided inquiry model by helping students’ worksheets (LKS) at buffer solution material. This research used classroom action research (CAR) design with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and evaluation phases, as well as analysis and reflection. The subjects were 28 students of XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 12 Banjarmasin. Data were collected through achievement test, observation, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed by percentage technique and elaborated quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the use of guided inquiry model by helping worksheets (LKS) could improve students’ achievement at buffer solution material from the first to second cycle. Teacher activity increased from 57.75 in first cycle to 62.75 in second cycle. Student activity increased from 49.75 in first cycle to 58.25 in second cycle. Students’ achievement increased from 83.18% in first cycle to 96.13% in second cycle. Students’ affective achievement increased from 38.82 in the first cycle to 40.82 in the second cycle with good category. Students’ psychomotor achievement increased from 12.71 in the first cycle with good category to 15.57 in the second cycle with a very good category. Students responded positively to guided inquiry model by helping worksheets (LKS) at buffer solution material.Keywords: guided inquiry model, buffer solution.

Abstract

Has done research on the application of the model STAD on the material of natural resources and environment in the fourth grade student of SDN 9 Tanjung. Classroom action research is intended to increase students understanding of the relationship of natural resources and the environment and increase positive attitudes fourth grade students of SDN 9 Tanjung to the environment. This study uses a classroom action research model of Kemmis and Taggart spiral from one to the next cycle. Each cycle includes (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflections. The results showed that: (1) model with cooperative learning type STAD can improve student learning outcomes in the matter of natural resources and environment marked by increasing exhaustiveness student learning by 50%. (2) The application of cooperative model type STAD can improve students positive attitudes to the environment. Key word : cooperative model, STAD, natural resources and environment

Abstract

Abstract. A research on the application of blended learning in the material solubility and solubility product. This study aims to determine (1) the formation of students mental models after using blended learning, (2) the difference between the results of student learning through the implementation of blended learning and conventional learning material is applied to the solubility and solubility product of high school students of class XI Science PGRI 4 Banjarmasin, (3) students response to the application of blended learning and conventional learning material that is applied to the solubility and solubility product of high school students of class XI Science PGRI 4 Banjarmasin. The research method used was a quasi experiment. Research sample are high school students of class XI Science PGRI 4 Banjarmasin which consists of class XI IPA 1 as the control class (n = 27) and class 2 as class XI Science experiments (n = 25). Data collection techniques and the value of using student response test and questionnaire techniques. Statistical analysis using ANOVA test path. The results showed that (1) the formation of students mental models after using blended learning on material solubility and solubility product for the better, (2) learning outcomes between students who learn the material solubility and solubility product using high Lebing blended learning compared with students who learn the material solubility and solubility product using conventional learning, (3) blended learning received a positive response from the students of class XI Science 2 SMA PGRI 4 Banjarmasin on material solubility and solubility product.Keywords: blended learning, mental model, learning outcomes, solubility and solubility product.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Gayam materi Sumber Daya Alam dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah metode analisis data kualitatif, yang intinya menekankan pada usaha penggambaran hal-hal apa saja yang berhubungan dengan meningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa secara mendalam. Analisis kualitatif ini peneliti menekankan pada pendalaman pokok permasalahan khususnya tentang aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa materi Sumber Daya Alam sehingga bisa diketahui dan dianalisa permasalahan yang ada untuk diadakan refleksi untuk mencari alternatif pemecahannya. Proses penelitian ini dimulai pada bulan Maret 2012 sampai Juni 2012 pada 35 orang siswa kelas IV SDN Gayam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) aktivitas guru kelas IV SDN Gayam selama menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD meningkat, (2) aktivitas siswa kelas IV SDN Gayam selama menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD meningkat, (3) hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Gayam selama menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD meningkat. Peneliti menyarankan guru di Sekolah Dasar hendaknya menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD untuk materi-materi yang sesuai karena dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa serta hasil belajar siswa.
