Abstract

The number of poor households (“RTM”) in Bali Province is still relatively large, reaching 134 804 households.This is also reflected from the persistence of beggars and homeless in urban areas. Poverty is likely to stay there, nomatter how poverty alleviation programs have been implemented. In absolute terms this is caused by the tendencyof the poverty line used will continue to develop in accordance with the development of the national economy.Poverty alleviation programs in the food sector in the province of Bali apparently less successful when compared withpoverty alleviation programs in the fields of education and health.Keywords: poverty alleviation; poor households;absolute poverty

Abstract

Indicators of success of development is the increasing life expectancy of the population. The purpose of this studywas to determine the effect of religiosity , economic conditions , and access to health simultaneously and partiallyto the welfare of the elderly in Dangin Puri Kauh . Then the sample was taken 86 of the total 624 elderly seniorswho are in Dangin Puri Kauh . This study used quantitative analysis techniques namely multiple linear regressionanalysis . Based on the results of the study , obtained information that Religiosity ( X1 ) , Economics ( X2 ) , andHealth ( X3 ) , has a significant effect simultaneously and partially on the elderly Welfare ( Y ) on Dangin Puri Kauh. This means that the higher the religiosity ( X1 ) , Economics ( X2 ) , and Health ( X3 ) owned by the elderly , theelderly Welfare Kauh Dangin Puri Denpasar will increase .

Abstract

One of the main challenges of the demographic bonus in Indonesia is still low quality of food. One example offood quality and ensuring environmental sustainability are organic rice. Organic rice excellence not only ensure thepreservation of the environment, but also a positive effect for the health of the consumer. This study was conductedto identify the factors that influence consumer demand for organic rice, especially in the city of Denpasar. This isdone in order to determine the segmentation of consumers, as well as increasing consumer interest in consumingorganic rice, as an effort to support the sustainability of organic farming in the province of Bali, and to improve thequality of human resources in the long term. To achieve the objectives of the study, used a quantitative approach(the factor analysis, non-parametric analysis) and a qualitative approach. Results of the analysis of data processingtechniques explanatory factor analysis shows there are two factors that affect consumer demand for the productand its benefits, as well as social factors consumers.

Abstract

The difference in economic growth between regions would lead to unequal distribution of income. Unequaldistribution of income can be caused by several factors, including uneven amount of labor and investment in anarea. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of directly or indirectly the working population and theinvestment of the unequal distribution of income through economic growth in the district/city in the province ofBali. This research uses secondary data from 2007-2013. This study uses data collecting non-participant observation.The analysis technique used is path analysis. Based on the analysis found that the number of people who work andinvestment positive and significant impact on economic growth. Economic growth is positive and significant effecton the unequal distribution of income. Meanwhile, the number of people working and investing no significant effecton inequality of income distribution. Economic growth is a variable mediating the indirect influence of the workingpopulation and the investment of the unequal distribution of income.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the human resources, good corporate governance and corporate performance. Humanresources in the accounting world often termed Human capital. Human capital for the company can be regarded asan intangible asset. Five principles of good corporate governance, namely transparency, accountability, responsibility,independence and fairness guide the running of the company to be able to improve the performance of the company.Human capital and good corporate governance is a factor that can affect the performance improvement company.

Abstract

Economic progress, environmental improvement, and the advancement of science, mainly due to the advancesof medical science, were able to reduce infant mortality. This study aimed to analyze the effect of GDP per capita,mother’s level of education and health care proxy with the medical delivery against infant mortality. The data usedin this study is secondary data for 23 years were obtained from various sources such as CPM and the Bali ProvincialHealth Department. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Based on theanalysis it was found that the variable GDP per capita has negative effect but not significant on infant mortality.Variable levels of maternal education and health care variables are proxied by the medical delivery and significantnegative effect on infant mortality. This means that the higher the mother’s education and medical delivery theinfant mortality rate will decrease. GDP per capita have a negative effect but not significant effect on infant mortality,however, the government is expected to continue to develop programs to revitalize the economy. Mother’s educationand medical delivery and significant negative effect therefore the government is expected to provide scholarships forpoor women and expanding medical delivery in all regions of the province of Bali. The government is also expectedto continue to be consistent in the development program of clean water and drinking water quality, provision ofvitamins, infant immunization, and provide socialization clean and healthy lifestyle behaviors to reduce infantmortality and achievement of the MDGs in Bali Province.
