Abstract

Contact dermatitis is an inflammation of skin which is caused by a substance that sticks to somebody’s skin. The cause of contact dermatitis is physical factor, a substance of plants, and other chemicals. One of prevention contact dermatitis because of working is the usage of personal protection equipments like mask, gloves, goggles, shoes, and body protection. The objectives of this research was to analyze the relation between the characteristics of worker, the completeness and the hygiene of personal protection equipments with the contact dermatitis occurrence in the house of compost Jambangan Surabaya. The methodology of this research was observational using cross sectional approach. The target of this research was all workers who have worked in the house of compost Jambangan Surabaya as 21 people were taken by total sampling technique. The variable that was observed included contact dermatitis occurrence, gender, the history of skin allergy, age, knowledge, attitude, action, and the completeness of using personal protection equipments. The primer data was taken by interview with questionnaire paper and observation. The secondary data was taken from the house of compost Jambangan Surabaya. Then, data that was taken from questionnaire was analyzed by descriptive as the narration form. The result of this research explained that the completeness of using personal protection equipments by the worker have not completed yet and for the main characteristics of the worker was their knowledge. The conclusion was using complete personal protection equipments could prevent contact dermatitis of the worker in the house of compost Jambangan Surabaya.  Keywords: Individual characteristics, Completeness and The hygiene of personal protection equipments, Contact dermatitis

Abstract

ABSTRACT Mental workload is a workload which is the difference between the demands of the workload of a task with a maximum capacity load of a persons mental condition motivated, excessive workload will lead to the incident  of stress. Work stress is distress experienced by employees when facing job. The purpose of this research was  to study the picture of mental workload and stress on employees who work in CSSD Installation General Hospital Haji Surabaya. This research was a descriptive cross sectional approach. The subjects of this research  were employees in the Installation CSSD General Hospital Haji Surabaya. The variables of this research were the mental workload and job stress. Primary data was collected using questionnaires and observation. Secondary data obtained from the General Hospital Haji Surabaya. Furthermore the data was processed by descriptive and described in narrative form. The results  showed that the CSSD employees experiencing mental workload which was divided into seven employees experiencing medium metal workload and  four employees  experiencing low mental workload . In addition there was a relationship between mental workload with the incidence of workplace stress. overall it can be described that mental workload and workplace stress were in the medium level. It was recommended that employees  can used the time off well  and getting used to exercise to increase endurance. Keywoard : mental workload, workplace stress, installation sterilization center

Abstract

Kecelakaan kerja dapat terjadi karena kondisi lingkungan kerja yang tidak aman dan perilaku tidak aman yang bersumber dari manusia yang melakukan kegiatan di tempat kerja dan menangani alat atau material Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka untuk meminimalisir tindakan tidak aman yang dilakukan oleh pekerja pengelasan perlu dipelajari karakteristik individu yang berhubungan dengan tindakan pekerja. Tujuan penelitian ini secara umum untuk mempelajari karakteristik individu yang berhubungan dengan tindakan pengelasan di PT Alim Ampuh Jaya Steel. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian desktiptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Data primer didapatkan dengan cara observasi, wawancara mendalam dan melalui pengisian lembar kuesioner. Sedangkan data sekunder didapatkan dari PT Alim Ampuh Jaya Steel Sidoarjo. Sasaran dari penelitian ini adalah seorang safety officer dan 20 pekerja pengelasan. Selanjutnya data tersebut diolah secara deskriptif dan dijelaskan dalam bentuk narasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun pekerja memiliki umur yang tua dan masa kerja yang lama, tetap melakukan tindakan yang tidak sesuai dengan prosedur pengelasan dan mayoritas pekerja yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik, seluruhnya melakukan tindakan yang tidak sesuai dengan prosedur. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disarankan agar perusahaan mengadakan program pelatihan mengenai pengelasan. Tirai PVC sebaiknya dipasang sebagai pembatas area kerja pengelasan agar pekerja di sekitar pengelasan tidak terpapar fume dan UV. Perusahaan juga disarankan untuk mengadakan pemerikasaan bagi pekerja pengelasan.

Abstract

Industri migas merupakan industri yang tinggi modal, tinggi teknologi, serta tinggi resiko. Karena itu perlu program yang dapat memonitoring pekerja seperti HSE Passport. HSE Pasport adalah buku yang berisi orientasi, pelatihan, sertifikasi yang telah di diperoleh dan kondisi kesehatan dari pekerja. Dengan adanya HSE Passport, akan memudahkan atasan untuk menetapkan pekerja tersebut mampu bekerja dimana pun dan kapanpun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis implementasi HSE Passport di PT. Pertamina EP Prabumulih Field. Berdasarkan rancangan penelitian, penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif, ditinjau dari waktu termasuk penelitian cross sectional. Variabel penelitian adalah HSE Passpor dan ijin kerja. Populasi penelitian adalah pekerja dan pekarya di PT. Pertamina EP Prabumulih Field berjumlah 443 pekerja. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan incidental sampling sehingga jumlah sampel menjadi 42 pekerja. Hasil Implementasi HSE Passport di PT. Pertamina EP Prabumulih Field belum berjalan sepenuhnya. Pekerja belum memaham pentingnya HSE Passpor. Peraturan tentang HSE Passport belum dilaksanakan secara tegas. Apabila dijalankan sesuai dengan prosedur, akan membantu mengurangi resiko kecelakaan kerja. Saran untuk PT. Pertamina EP Prabumulih adalah perlu adanya pengaturan sanksi yang tegas apabila terjadi pelanggaran dan perlu diadakan evaluasi pemahaman HSE Passpor pada saat pelatihan mandatory.Kata kunci: implementasi HSE Passport, kecelakaan kerja

Abstract

 Work to make the shoes is a job that has a risk of harm. Equipment used in the production process such as electric heating machine / fire (oven), glue, nails and a hammer. raw materials made of fabrics, synthetic leather or plastic materials. For the gluing process uses two types of glue that glue Brands Pro ARdico yellow, white glue and glue LK brand PU-Weber, DS-DNS Bond 818. Of the various equipment and materials used, the chemicals in the manufacturing process of shoes is one of the dangers presented high. The use of chemicals can damage the health of the craftsmen shoes one of them contained in the use of glue. The general objective of this study was to analyze the level of risks to health from exposure to benzene in shoe craftsman worker. This study is an observational study conducted in the shoe industry craftsmen village Tambak Oso Wilangon Surabaya. Meanwhile, in terms of time, the type of approach used in this study is cross-sectional design of the study design using risk analysis paradigm by taking one of the other, its components, namely a risk assessment / risk assessment. The concentration of benzene measured has a value of at least 0:04 mg / m3 and a maximum of 7.44 mg / m3. The calculation result obtained RQ RQ ≤ 1 of 8 people (40%) and RQ> 1 as many as 13 people (60%) and the calculation of the ECR obtained all workers with ECR value> 10-5 as many as 20 people (100%). The conclusion from this study is there risk to workers health effects Noncarcinogenic and all employees at risk for health effects carcinogenic.Keywords: Risk, glue, gasoline, Benzene, RQ, ECR

Abstract

ABSTRAKPT. Dumas Tanjugn Perak Shipyard berkembang menjadi perusahaan yang juga bergerak dalam pembangunan kapal baru. Proses pembangunan kapal merupakan suatu aktivitas yang dilakukan mulai dari perencanaan kapal (desain) sampai dengan penyerahan produk kapal kepada pemilik kapal. Pada proses aktivitas penyambungan blok-blok kapal tidak lepas dari aktivitas pengelasan. Dimana dalam proses pengelasan tidak boleh ada kesalahan sekecil apapun baik merupakan crack, over heat, dan sebagainya. Aktivitas pengelasan dilakukan diberbagai tempat seperti pengelesan diruang terbuka, ruang tertutup dan di tempat ketinggian. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan observasi langsung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi bahaya aktivitas pengelasan, menilai risiko dari bahaya pengelasan pada ruang terbuka, ruang tertutup dan ditempat ketinggian sehingga dapat menentukan cara pengendalian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Job Safety Analysis untuk mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya pengelasan listrik dan gas, penilaian resiko serta pengendaliannya. Hasil dari pengambilan data ini didapat Risiko keselamatan yang terdapat pada pekerja pengelasan di PT. DUMAS Tanjung Perak Shipyard yaitu terbentur benda kerja, tergores dan terpukul palu terak, terpotong gurinda tangan, terpeleset, tersengat listrik, terbakar, tersengat api, terjatuh, terkena percikan api, tertusuk potongan besi, terjatuh dari ketinggian, pingsan, keracunan gas, dan tertimpa benda kerja. Dampak bahaya yang akan terjadi adalah merusak mata dan kulit, gangguan pernapasan, menimbulkan ledakan atau kebakaran, kematian, cidera pada tubuh, dan luka bakar pada tubuh tenaga kerja. Pengendalian yang dilakukan berdasarkan hirarki pengendalian yaitu engineering control, administrative control dan alat pelindung diri.Kata kunci  : Job Safety Analysis, identifikasi bahaya, penilaian risiko, pengendalian resiko

Abstract

Container crane for loading and unloading activities has hazard such as fall down, struck down, crushed or strangulated. It will induce accidents that result in economic and non-economic losses if not controlled. Therefore, this study aim to identify accidents in the operation of the container crane and factors that influence during the years 2013-2015.This research is descriptive research by describing the variables objectively. The data source of this research are reported of accidents in 2013-2015 and interviews related factors that affect accidents.The results showed that the number of accidents in the operation of the container crane continues to increase in a row from 2013-2015 year, that is 94, 69, 71. The value of average statistical that includes FR, SR and IR is 476.82, 0 and 110, 33. That value is high, although figures obtained SR is 0. For factors that influence the occurrence of accidents is unsafe worker behavior, surpervision systems, implementation of work instructions, maintenance and operation of the container crane related some programs that dysfunctin.Based on the results of this study concluded that the incidence and frequency of accidents is high although severity rate is 0. Causes of accidents are supervision system, implementation of work intruction unfavorable and dysfuction some programs related the operation of the container crane. Implementation of the program should be made to reduce the number of accidents in the operation of the container crane.Keywords:accident, crane, port

Abstract

Pekerjaan pandai besi termasuk dalam pekerjaan yang berpotensi terkena gangguan musculoskeletal akibat dari postur kerja yang tidak ergonomis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat risiko MSDs dan faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi keluhan MSDs pada tenaga kerja di Sentra Industri Pandai Besi Kecamatan Bantaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan total populasi adalah seluruh pekerja pandai besi. Sumber data diperoleh dari pengamatan di lapangan, kuesioner dan wawancara langsung kepada pekerja. Variabel yang akan diteliti adalah keluhan musculoskeletal, faktor pekerjaan dan faktor individu yang meliputi umur, masa kerja, dan kebiasaan merokok. Untuk menganalisis data penelitian digunakan tabulasi silang. Seluruh pekerja yang berjumlah 34 orang mengalami gangguan musculoskeletal dengan tingkat keluhan musculoskeletal sedang sebanyak (53%). Tingkat risiko ergonomi dihitung menggunakan metode REBA menghasilkan 21 orang berada pada risiko sedang yang bekerja sebagai penempa dan 13 orang berada pada risiko tinggi yang bekerja sebagai pengasah. Terdapat hubungan antara tingkat risiko MSDs dengan tingkat keluhan yang dirasakan oleh 13 pekerja dengan tingkat risiko maupun tingkat keluhan sedang dan 4 pekerja dengan tingkat risiko dan tingkat keluhan tinggi. Namun terdapat perbedaan terhadap 5 pekerja yang berada pada tingkat risiko tinggi yang memiliki tingkat keluhan sedang dan 4 orang yang berada pada tingkat risiko sedang yang memiliki tingkat keluhan tinggi. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa faktor penyebab terjadinya musculoskeletal disorders yang paling berpengaruh adalah sikap kerja dan terdapat faktor lain yang mendukung seperti umur, masa kerja, dan kebiasaan merokok. Kata kunci : ergonomi, gangguan musculoskeletal, sikap kerja

Abstract

Hazard identification is an effort to identify potential hazard that exist in the workplace. The aim of this study was identify hazards on Oxy-Cutting work in PT. Aziz Abadi Jaya Tuban. This study was a decriptive observational research with cross sectional design.Population of this study is 5 people consisting of 3 workers oxy - cutting, 1 welder superisor and 1 HSE Officer at PT. Aziz Jaya Abadi, Tuban. Samples from this study is the total population. Primary data were collected in the manner of observation and interviewing where as the secondary data obtained from the PT. Aziz Abadi Jaya Tuban profile and Oxy-Cutting Job Safety Analysis. The results showed that the hazards identified in Oxy-Cutting work on PT. Aziz Jaya Abadi Tuban includes damaged regulator, flashback arrestor not avaliable, leaking or torn hoses, the pressure is not balanced, smoking workers, the heat source due to the reaction of Oxy-Acetylene, dust, noise, and poor ergonomics. Company recommended to do risk control that doesnt exist yet to push the risk level with doingflashback arrestor installation and regulator replacement, noise measurement and environment measurement, provision of a fire extinguisher, tighten regulation of the use of personal protective equipment and conduct risk assessment at least once a year

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are disturbances in the skeletal muscles that affect workers, ranging from mild to very severe complaints. MSDs complaints can be caused by internal factor such as gender, age, years of employement, smoking habit and external factor such as exposure to hot work climates. These was an analytical-observational study with a cross-sectional approach. The research samples consisted of 65 workers. Samples were selected by simple random sampling. Individual characteristics data collected by questionnaire, work climates data were obtained by Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) measurement and MSDs complaints data were analyzed by Nordic Body Map (NBM). All data were analyzed by the Spearman-rho correlation with a significance level of α = 0.05. Results showed that most of workers had a moderate risk of MSDs complaints (55.4%). Based on WBGT measurement, work climate exceeded the Threshold Limit Value (TLV). There were no correlation between MSDs complaints and workers characteristics (age, years of employment, and smoking habits). However, there was a significant correlation between MSDs complaints and work climate (p = 0.000; r = 0.730). The company are advised to redesign natural and artificial ventilation system, increasing the knowledge of all workers about ergonomic risks prevention based on their activities, reduce the health effects of workers smoking habit by regular exercise every day and set time of job rotation for 5-15 minutes/hour for workers do other work with a lighter workload. Keywords: individual characteristics, work climate, MSDs complaints
