Abstract

In the last ten years, airline industry has grown rapidly and has made airport ramp or apron busy with its activities. The work time in this area is relatively short, causing the work pressure higher than other areas. It is not surprising that accidents and incidents are more potential to happen here. By identifying the hazard and risk, and then doing a risk analysis, the level of risk can be known using a qualitative method referring to the Australian/New Zealand Standard or AS/NZS 4360:2004. It is clear that the highest risks of ramp activities are noise, being struck by operational vehicles, and being squeezed by Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Meanwhile, the activities with high risk include fatigue, dust, being squeezed by hydraulic during preparation, being scratched by iron, improper body position when putting mannual GSE, being struck down by things, falling down, and getting lavatory water splashed on. Keywords: Risk Analysis, Work Accident, Airport Ramp Area.

Abstract

Commuter train is one mode of transportation that get PSO aid from the government. The problems related to PSO (Public Service Obligation), among others, are the absence of a common perception on the understanding/definition of PSO and yet all PSO activities are done through a tender process, different basic calculation on the required PSO fund among PSO-executing SOEs, no separation between PSO business activities and non- PSO business activities in the financial statement. In addition, the compensation given by the government for PSO assignment is not sufficient, so that the commuter train service faces many disruptions. For example, the matter of delay reflects that train is not reliable, rails and bridges are not in the prime condition, the signal has been fade, overflow electric current (pantograph)is frequently disrupted. The purpose of this study is to understand and evaluate the provision of PSO in order to maximize the commuter train services. The benefit of this research is to contribute ideas related to the administration of PSO so that people can feel the benefits. The method used is qualitative approach, descriptive analysis, and evaluation on the policy of PSO provision. The results of this study are divided into: PSO provision for economy-class trains, commuter services in Jabodetabek, asserting the separation of service types, support for PSO service improvement, and performance-based planning concept. Keywords: PSO provision, performance-based planning.

Abstract

The objective is to study the effect of vessel seaworthiness and crew’s competence on marine safety in PT Pulau laut year 2015. This research is quantitative research with correlation and regression methods are applied as data analysis technique to determine the relationship between each variables. The primary data were obtained from questioner which distributed to 73 ship’s crew of PT Pulau Laut using population sampling technique. The result of this research shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between seaworthiness ship and crew competence with the safety of sea transport. H3 research hypothesis is accepted where F count> F table or 86.179> 3.128 and the significance probability of 0.000

Abstract

Airport is a vital subsystem in the air transport system which has an important and strategic role in smoothening air traffic, so that an airport must be designed to be always ready in all situations and conditions to serve airline flights securely, orderly, smoothly, and quickly. The frequent delay faced by Indonesian domestic scheduled airlines is not fully caused by internal factor of the companies. Instead, it can be caused by the airport factor. The problems faced by airports in Indonesia which have impacts on the performance of flight punctuality among other things are capacity, slot time, quality of flight navigation devices, accessibility, professionalism of airport and ATC human resources, infrastructure, facilities, equipment, and the human resources handling security and safety of flights in airport. This article recommends that an in-depth study should be carried out to map the interrelations between the airport factor in the flight delay related to facilities integration and the airport authority in the flight activities in Indonesia. Key Words: airport, factor, flight delay and issue of development

Abstract

Survey methods are used to determine the effect of pricing policy implementation (X1), quality of service (X2), and customer loyalty (Y) on PT. Garuda Indonesia, for Jakarta- Surabaya route in 2014. With a population of 773 154 passengers and a sample of 400 respondents, the data is obtained through questionnaires using Likert scale. With a simple and multiple linear regression analyses, simple and partial correlation, with significance level at α = 0.05, it was found that, first, there is a positive relationship between pricing policy and customer loyalty. The variation that occurs in customer loyalty is determined by pricing policy. Secondly, there is a positive relationship between service quality and customer loyalty. The variation that occurs in customer loyalty is determined by service quality. Third, there is a positive influence of pricing policy and service quality on customer loyalty with the coefficient of determination ry1.22 = 0.354, so 35.4% variation happening to customer loyalty is determined simultaneously by pricing policy and service quality. The implication proves that customer loyalty can be enhanced by improving the pricing policy and service quality. Keywords: customer loyalty, pricing policy, service quality.

Abstract

Depok City as the main supporting area for the capital city of Jakarta is facing various problems in transportation. Some policies have been made to overcome the problems of transportation, especially traffic jam. Although the system is well developed, it will not succeed as long as it is not sufficiently improved. The aim of this research is to analyze the transportation system and human needs in family in Depok City. The method of research used here is descriptive-qualitative. The results show that to achieve sustainable and environmentally sound development in Depok City, transportation system has an important and strategic position. However, efficient, competitive, cheap transportation services have not been well developed so that it has potential to destruct the environment and cause traffic problems. Such a condition shows the ‘trade-off’ the Government of Depok City should face. The enhancement of mobility through providing road infrastructures has supported the economic growth and human being’s needs in a family. Keyword: transportation system, family need

Abstract

Optimizing the use of land transport with the management of logistics and supply chain management of the warehouse to the port of Tanjung Priok can minimize cost, time, and quantity. It is hoped that the delivery of goods is faster, more focused and more precise. This research used descriptive quantitative and data is collected from secondary and primary data using SPSS software 27.00 version. Based on the three proposed research hypotheses, it is proven that the efficiency variable (X1) and discipline variable (X2) --- either individually or together --- have an influence to the shipment of goods from the warehouse in Tangerang to the Port of Tanjung Priok (Y). Keywords: efficiency, shipment discipline, logistics management, port.

Abstract

In Japan, the transportation system is the vein of the country in order to ease the flow of people, goods, and information, supporting the achievement of optimum economic resources allocation. To that end, the transportation service should be fairly evenly available and affordable purchasing power. This is a literature study, whose main data sources are books, literature, records, and reports that have to do with the subject matter being solved. The results show that Japanese transportation system is very modern, comfortable, secure, punctual, and well-organized, as well as outstanding in service and responsible, so that people use public transport rather than private cars. Transportation in Japan as in other countries includes land, sea, and air transports. On land, there is a transport in the form of excellent trains and become a major transportation in Japan. In addition, there are also subway trains. To connect between islands, especially the four largest islands (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu) there are ferries as a means of crossing. Also available is a comprehensive international air service through two major airlines, Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, as well as foreign airlines based on the operators who fly all over the world. Transportation in Japan is generally accommodated by Japan Railway (JR), the state-owned company JR Bus, JR Train, and others. Keywords: Transportation System, Japan
