Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the influence of development effectiveness and education and training quality on the driver’s technical skills of PT XYZ in Jakarta. The method of research is a survey using Path Analysis. The respondents for this survey are 35 drivers selected by applying proportional random sampling technique. The results of this research show that: (1) the effectiveness of development directly influencing the driver’s technical skills is 35.8%, (2) the quality of education and training directly influencing the driver’s technical skills is 33.8%, and (3) the effectiveness of coaching directly influencing the quality of education is 25.5% The study concludes that technical skills can be improved through effective development and the quality of education and training, and the quality of education and training can be enhanced through effective development as well.

Abstract

Car drivers in Indonesia will always face many kinds of risks. This research contains the context determination of this research, identifies all the significant risks, measures the frequency and impact of all the risks, draws all the identified risks in the chart, and describes how to manage or mitigate the risks. The dangerous risks which have high frequency and high impact are: 1) Many car drivers get the driving license without taking a driving course and without learning carefully the theory of driving a car; 2) Many car drivers get the driving license through illegal procedure; 3) Many car manufacturers eliminate some car safety equipment to lower the sales price; 4) The ingredients of the gasoline cannot fulfill/match the need of the car (e.g. RON number); 5) In some places the traffic is too crowded; 6) Many damaged roads may cause accidents; 7) Many roads and transportation modes cannot fulfill the demands of transportation. The recommendation (mitigation) for Risk Controlling is that all stakeholders (legislative, executive, judicative, manufacturers, people, car drivers, schools and universities, researchers, etc) should obey the regulations, moral, ethics for car riders. It is mandatory that every candidate of car driver take a course in a certified car driving ourse. Police should arrange a complete and comprehensive reference book for car driver candidates to get a driving license.

Abstract

One of the efforts made to reduce traffic density in Surabaya is by maximizing both mass and individual public transportation system using available modes such as city buses, paratransit minibuses, taxis and multipurpose transport vehicle. Therefore, it is interesting to assess human transport problems suing public transportation system in Surabaya from jurisdiction point of view in the form of library study involving legislation, references and legal documents related to the problems. In this situation, the enactment of Law No. 22 year 2009 indicates that the implementation of human transport with public vehicles including paratransit minibuses cannot be held by individual, yet, it should be conducted by organization with legal status such as Koperasi or firms.

Abstract

Mobilitas manusia sudah dimulai sejak zaman dahulu kala, kegiatan tersebut dilakukan dengan berbagai tujuan antara lain untuk mencari makan, mencari tempat tinggal yang lebih baik, mengungsi dari serbuan orang lain dan sebagainya. Dalam melakukan mobilitas tersebut sering membawa barang ataupun tidak membawa barang. Oleh karenanya diperluhkan alat sebagai sarana transportasi. Tulisan ini menjelaskan bagaimana membangun kemitraan pemerintah, dunia usaha dan masyarakat dalam sector transportasi publik. Metode yang digunakan penulis adalah : metode studi pustaka. Aspek efisiensi yang dihasilkan dari pengembangan transportasi dalam rangka peningkatan faktor produktivitas total, menjadi faktor utama untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keterkaitan antara transport dan ekonomi. Hal ini menjadi dasar penentuan apakah peningkatan dalam penyediaan transportasi dapat memberikan suatu hal yang berarti bagi peningkatan kompetisi atau peningkatan pertumbuhan ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan. Permasalahan kebutuhan dana investasi yang sangat besar bagi pengembangan sektor transportasi dapat diatasi bila dana pembangunan tersebut diserahkan kepada swasta sebagai pemilik modal, sementara, pemerintah sebagai komponen pembuat regulasi harus berani dan tegas dalam pembuatan kebijakan yang bersumber dari masyarakat.

Abstract

Business competition among companies has led to major changes. Thus, companies must be responsive to the business strategy implemented [by competitors] and create business opportunities that can generate profits. One way is to implement Blue Ocean Strategy that allows businesses to create a niche market to get out of the red ocean competition so that competition becomes irrelevant. This study is aimed at analyzing the condition of a company implementing the Blue Ocean Strategy represented by PT Kintetsu World Express in the period of 2012-2013. By using the descriptive method and the theories in strategic management, it is clearly visible how the implementation of Blue Ocean Strategy by PT Kintetsu World Express Indonesia can make the company win the competition and becomes the “Market Leader”. Making the Internal Process Company (IPF - BOS) in order to optimize the implementation of Blue Ocean Strategy, making the value of the company and the products to be better in the consumer’s perspective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan dan menguji konsistensi hubungan antara praktik manajemen rantai pasok (SCM), teknologi e-business dan kinerja operasional. Studi ini mengumpulkan data dari 67 perusahaan. Hubungan yang diajukan dalam kerangka kerja studi ini diuji menggunakan analisis partial least square. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan dampak manajemen SCM dan teknologi e-business terhadap kinerja operasional. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan keberadaan interaksi efek antara praktik SCM dan teknologi e-business secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja operasional.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis optimalisasi jaringan jalan raya dari Rumah Sakit Fatmawati ke Pondok Labu (UPN “Veteran “ Jakarta), khususnya untuk mengukur rasio volume dan kapasitas terhadap sarana dan prasarana, mengingat tingkat kemacetannya di atas toleransi. Untuk menempuh 2-3 km dari RS Fatmawati-UPN “Veteran“ Jakarta, diperlukan waktu 2-3 jam. Dengan menggunakan metode diagram ikan (fish bone / cause & effect diagram) dan teori Manajemen Risiko, maka, didapat beberapa rekomendasi, yakni membuat arus satu arah (SSA) baik pada waktu pagi dan sore hari. Sementara, rekomendasi lain diusulkan agar garis pemisah di depan mall giant juga dihilangkan, tidak ada parkir sepanjang jalan, fasilitas jalan dilengkapi, pengawasan disiplin berlalu-lintas dan juga relokasi Pasar Pondok Labu.

Abstract

Transportation is a movement of people or goods from the origin place to a destination. Regarding this, the writer is interested in studying the selection of transport modes of railway and road based on the transporting tariff and travel time from Bandung and its surroundings to Tanjung Priok port. The research methods the writer uses are applied method and survey. Based on the tariff and the travel time, we can see clearly the market position of transport using train or truck. It can be stated assertively that the weakness of train is its long travel time: the container from industrial centers must be carried using truck, there are discharging/loading processes at Gedebage container terminal (TPK Gedebage), and the frequency of train departure from Bandung to Jakarta is very low.

Abstract

Halim Perdana Kusuma International Airport, which is integrated with the development of National Economic Zones, is included in the implementation of Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Economic Development in Java and Sumatra islands. The operation of Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport is expected to become a locomotive for the economy of its surrounding regions. Therefore, its presence will encourage the emergence of centers of growth and new economic activities. The operation of Halim Perdana Kusuma airport signifies the seriousness of the Indonesian government in preparing the accelerated development of national connectivity and supporting infrastructures in order to support the trade connectivity and the projected national and regional aviation hub. Service is an act, performance appearance, intangible and it quickly disappears, which can only be consumed but can not be held, where customers can participate more actively in the process of consuming it. In this case, customer assessment on the performance ofservice providers will greatly influence the passenger satisfaction, in which passengers who have a level of importance or high expectations here to get performance comparable airports of giving the passenger satisfaction. Passenger satisfaction will have a positive impact on the airport, while the airport sales volume will likely increase if the passengers’ past experience as well as its word of mouth are positive.
