Abstract

Measuring the ease of user interface using is often perceived as the second choice if it compared to the development of the software project. This view seems reasonable, because the project development becomes central issue that usually discussed when the institution decide to develop the systems. There are several considerations in developing the systems, which examine the needs of the users of the application. One of the consideration factors that the system should fulfil the need of user by assessing the perspective of user interface (UI) consumers from the students. However, the user interface measured in this study is SIAKAD online student of UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Measuring the data variable need to assess was the relationship of UI usage with ease of UI SIAKAD online usage by UIN Ar-Raniry student Banda Aceh. To measure the level of relationship, the study used regression and correlation analysis approach, which the regression analysis is used to see the effect of free variables (x) UI usage on the dependent variable (y) ease of UI usage. Then, the correlation analysis is need to see the relationship between the two previously mentioned variables. From the results of simple linear regression analysis, there is a significant influence between free variables (x) UI usage, on the dependent variable (y) ease of UI usage, with R value of 0.732, R Square is 0,535 value, the overall value of R produced is greater than the value coefficient of 0,05. Therefore, the correlation analysis showed that there is a significant correlation between free variable (x) UI usage to the dependent variable (y) ease of UI usage, with significance value 0.000 less than 0.05.

Abstract

Electrophoresis is a method of separation that utilizes the electric field generated from electrodes to separate compounds having a charge of cations or anions. Electrophoresis requires separation media in the form of a stationary phase such as Agarose cells mixed with a buffer solution to maintain the acidity of the sample during the separation process. This tool strongly supports the renewal of research, especially in the field of genetic engineering technology. The result will provide a track record of separation bands of compounds. The speed of molecular motion depends on the ratio (ratio) of charge to its mass, and also depends on the shape of the molecule.

Abstract

Department of Electrical Installation Engineering at SMKN 2 Peureulak is part of educational institutions that graduated the expertise and creativity students. Competencies obtained by students who tailored to industry-based curriculum criteria. Thus, they have ready-made expertise through the learning process. Learning tools or media used in the learning process were the important role to achieve the learning objectives. Therefore, the learning media used is very influential on the intensity of learners on the subject matter. Trainers are designed to implement a modular concept that each component is made separately, equipped with component names, symbols and manuals of use so that it can easily be introduced to components, use and facilitate understanding of the concept of electromagnetic control installed. The design and manufacture of this trainer through several stages of the material and information gathering stage, the design of each component module, the design of sliding frames and storage boxes, tool making, tool testing and the last manual book making. There are three steps to determine the eligibility of the electromagnetic control trainers, namely (1) the manufacture of electromagnetic control trainers (2) the trainer feasibility test (3) product testing. In this study, the respondents are 3 teachers and 23 students technical expertise program electrical installation in SMK Negeri 2 Peureulak. Research instrument used in the form of questionnaire of media feasibility test, student response questionnaire and observation sheet. The results showed that the electromagnetic control trainer that has been developed feasible to be used as instructional media of electromagnetic control in electrical engineering skill program at SMKN 2 Peureulak. The achievement of feasibility of trainer was performed from the result of feasibility analysis by expert team which get the percentage of 81% with good category, and the result of student response to the electromagnetic control trainer get the percentage of 87% with very good category. There was a significant difference between the learners learning outcomes between before and after using trainers, where the average practice value before using the trainer was 77.81 and after trainer use increased to 82.30.

Abstract

Based on the results of the analysis conducted by the researchers, there are many unpredictable things like traffic accidents, robbery, theft case and others. This study aims to facilitate the community in reporting the unexpected events of each individual. The designed app will later give you an idea of which system will be used by the community to report instances that are experienced easily and quickly. This research uses prototyping method. This research is done by collecting the data needed to create an application design that can be used to disrupt the application. Data obtained for further processing can be obtained so that a design can be used as a picture when the application will be implemented.

Abstract

Based on the observation result, the learning system applied in SMK Negeri 1 Darul Kamal Aceh Besar, is more dominated by conventional learning. Therefore, the student activity tends to be passive. However, in the process of learning the student is less understanding the material provided by the teacher. One of the alternatives to solving the problem is by offering a PBI learning method. The purpose of this research is to know the improvement of student learning motivation after learning by using PBI learning method. This research was carried out on November 13-15, 2017. The design of this research uses a real experimental research design. The population in this study is all students of SMKN 1 Darul Kamal which amount to 198 students, while the sample in this research is 22 students of class X Electronics. Technique of collecting data used observation and motivation questionnaire. Observation results showed significant improvement using RPP I, RPP II and RPP III, both observing the ability of teachers to manage learning and student activity observation. Teacher observation results at first meeting with total value of 80.62%, at second meeting with 81.85% and third meeting result increasing up to 85%. Similarly, student activity observation result from 76.42%, to 79.28%, even up to 84.28%. The result of the research by using motivation questionnaire shows that the average value of experimental class is 87,4%. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the use of learning method of PBI can increase students motivation to learn "resistor value measurement" in class X Electronic SMKN 1 Darul Kamal Aceh Besar.

Abstract

Research on the sand iron potential in generating magnetite nanoparticles in Lampanah Aceh Besar through a study of techniques processing, synthesis methods and structural characteristics has been completed. The method used in this research is qualitative method in the kind of literature study from the data of Banda Aceh ESDM Ministry. The results of this study indicate that iron sand in Lampanah area has a dominant element which contained Fe3O4. The magnetic separation method is used to separate the iron sand from impurities, while the co-precipitation synthesis of one of the methods chosen in generating the magnetite nanoparticles which due to a simple, economical experimental process and low treatment temperature. Through the XRD test, the cubic iron sand magnetite nanoparticles with a 2 angle are 35,55o, 57,13o and 62,70o with the hkl [311], [511] and [440], while the TEM and SEM tests showed that the dominant particle shape is round and the distribution is tight. Therefore, controlling the size and shape of iron sand magnetite nanoparticles will provide great potential in the magnetic field of magnetism. The conclusions of this study show that the iron sand located in Aceh Besar has the potential to be a magnetite nanoparticle.

Abstract

Electrical safety concern has been rise from early utilization of electricity. This report is about electrical accident that took place in one agricultural farm in Michigan, USA in summer 2010. A bilingual Latino farm worker (28) was electrocuted in a 6000-acre potato farm when he touched one of tower of self-propelled central pivot irrigators, which is irrigating the farm at that time. The delta corner-grounded system is used at the farm. The multicultural environment is also escalated the risk.

Abstract

The research has been conducted to determine the effect of heavy metals on coal, where the coal comes from three different places in Indonesia. The collection and testing of samples was conducted by PT Sucofindo Padang branch. From the sample tested, the combustion energy is 6562 Kkal / Kg, 6331 Kkal / Kg and 6375 Kkal / Kg, for coal with initials A, B and C. Heavy metal testing is done using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (SSA). From the test, the biggest metal concentration is metal potassium (K) followed by other metal. From the data it can be seen that Iron (Fe), Mangan (Mn), Lead (Pb) and Potassium (K) if the concentration is large, the combustion energy is small. While the two metals of Magnesium (Mg) and Calcium (K) have no effect at all. In Aluminum (Al) and Copper (Cu) metals if the concentration is large the energy is also large.

Abstract

The grid to vehicle context in this report referred to the current status of the vehicle charging system that supported by the grid and its implication to the grid. The electric vehicle also can be exploited and treated as the mobile energy storage that has the capability to inject the power back to the grid. The idea of transfer back power the grid from electric vehicle is commonly known as V2G. In total, the cumulative horse power that millions vehicle have are tens times larger than the total of all electricity generating capacity in the world. However, due to the technical issue, the vehicle potential could not be tap to contribute to the grid until the birth of current concept of so called V2G. V2G is relatively a new technological breakthrough, which not only support the grid but also could potentially accelerate the process of creating a smarter grid.

Abstract

Lagu daerah merupakan salah satu bentuk dari budaya yang memilki ciri yang khas yang membedakan antara daerah satu dengan lain baik dari segi bahasa, instrumen maupun nilai-nilai yang terkandung dari lagu itu sendiri. Kemajuan teknologi khususnya dibidang informasi menyebabkan mudahnya mengakses budaya-budaya asing sehingga menyebabkan tergesernya budaya daerah. Selain itu, kurangnya minat masyarakat khususnya generasi muda terhadap budaya daerah adalah karena ketersediaan dan kemudahan dalam mengakses kebudayaan daerah khususnya lagu daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat rancangan aplikasi lagu-lagu daerah yang terdapat di Indonesia berbasis android yang memiliki fitur berupa asal lagu daerah, lirik lagu daerah serta arti lagu daerah dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa inggris. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah aplikasi android yang memiliki halaman awal berupa tampilan pulau-pulau di Negara Indonesia dan setiap lagu memiliki lirik.
