Abstract

Electrical safety concern has been rise from early utilization of electricity. This report is about electrical accident that took place in one agricultural farm in Michigan, USA in summer 2010. A bilingual Latino farm worker (28) was electrocuted in a 6000-acre potato farm when he touched one of tower of self-propelled central pivot irrigators, which is irrigating the farm at that time. The delta corner-grounded system is used at the farm. The multicultural environment is also escalated the risk.

Abstract

To facilitate the parking of the car to be efficient parking equipment was needed by using the distance with objects. In this research, the development of prototype of car parking guide by displaying information by using centimeter or meter unit and using sound output to facilitate the user in parking their vehicle. From the analysis and testing of prototype car park guides with human voice output indicates that this prototype can give good results. Ultrasonic sensor SRF05 can work well but in the sensor distance of more than 3 meters cannot send data

Abstract

Measuring the ease of user interface using is often perceived as the second choice if it compared to the development of the software project. This view seems reasonable, because the project development becomes central issue that usually discussed when the institution decide to develop the systems. There are several considerations in developing the systems, which examine the needs of the users of the application. One of the consideration factors that the system should fulfil the need of user by assessing the perspective of user interface (UI) consumers from the students. However, the user interface measured in this study is SIAKAD online student of UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Measuring the data variable need to assess was the relationship of UI usage with ease of UI SIAKAD online usage by UIN Ar-Raniry student Banda Aceh. To measure the level of relationship, the study used regression and correlation analysis approach, which the regression analysis is used to see the effect of free variables (x) UI usage on the dependent variable (y) ease of UI usage. Then, the correlation analysis is need to see the relationship between the two previously mentioned variables. From the results of simple linear regression analysis, there is a significant influence between free variables (x) UI usage, on the dependent variable (y) ease of UI usage, with R value of 0.732, R Square is 0,535 value, the overall value of R produced is greater than the value coefficient of 0,05. Therefore, the correlation analysis showed that there is a significant correlation between free variable (x) UI usage to the dependent variable (y) ease of UI usage, with significance value 0.000 less than 0.05.

Abstract

Based on the observations made in class X SMK 1 Darul Kamal Electronics Aceh Besar shows the system applied learning in SMK 1 Darul Kamal Aceh Besar, is dominated by conventional learning. So active students tend to be passive because they only receive the material and exercises from the teacher, so in the learning process of students do not understand the material given by teachers and students also feel tired and boring. One alternative to solve these problems, the researchers tried to offer a study which emphasizes the students learning activities in a group that is using the learning method PBI. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student motivation after following study with PBI teaching methods. The research was conducted on November 13 until November 15, 2017. The design of this study research design real experiments. The population in this study are all students of SMK 1 Darul Kamal, amounting to 198 students, while the sample in this study were students of class X Electronics amounting to 22 students. The data collection technique used observation and motivation questionnaire. Results showed significant improvements observation using the first RPP, RPP RPP II and III, both observation ability of teachers to manage learning and student activity observation. The results of observations of teachers at the first meeting with a total value of 80.62%, in the second meeting with a value of 81.85% and the third meeting of the results has been rising by up to 85%. So also with the results of the student activity observation of the value of 76.42% to 79.28%, even increased by 84.28%. The results using motivational angkket shows the average value of the experimental class was 87.4%. the results of students motivation increased class. Based on these results it can be concluded that the use of PBI learning methods can increase student motivation in the matter "resistor value measurement" in class X SMK 1 Darul Kamal Electronics Aceh Besar.

Abstract

In designing and making an automatic roof tool that serves to help humans in terms of drying clothes, when exposed to rain then automatically the roof will be closed by itself because this tool uses raindrop sensor, and in cloudy / dark weather conditions the roof will be automatically closed, while at the time bright roof is open by itself, because it uses LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensors that can read the intensity of light. In order for the roof to open and close automatically this tool uses a rotating servo 180 degrees. This tool also uses a temperature sensor to determine the condition of the room during rain, cloudy, and bright. How this tool works when the weather conditions outside the bright LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) will read the intensity of light received and has been entered, then the servo will open the roof 180 degrees, and at that time the clothes are being sun-dried can be exposed to the sun, then otherwise if the outside conditions are overcast / dark servo will close the roof 0 degrees. And if the rain is outside raindrop sensor conditions will read the raindrop rain drops and then servo will close the roof 0 degrees so that clothes are dried sdang not be exposed to rain, so we no longer need to back and forth warmed and drying back clothes.

Abstract

Department of Electrical Installation Engineering at SMKN 2 Peureulak is part of educational institutions that graduated the expertise and creativity students. Competencies obtained by students who tailored to industry-based curriculum criteria. Thus, they have ready-made expertise through the learning process. Learning tools or media used in the learning process were the important role to achieve the learning objectives. Therefore, the learning media used is very influential on the intensity of learners on the subject matter. Trainers are designed to implement a modular concept that each component is made separately, equipped with component names, symbols and manuals of use so that it can easily be introduced to components, use and facilitate understanding of the concept of electromagnetic control installed. The design and manufacture of this trainer through several stages of the material and information gathering stage, the design of each component module, the design of sliding frames and storage boxes, tool making, tool testing and the last manual book making. There are three steps to determine the eligibility of the electromagnetic control trainers, namely (1) the manufacture of electromagnetic control trainers (2) the trainer feasibility test (3) product testing. In this study, the respondents are 3 teachers and 23 students technical expertise program electrical installation in SMK Negeri 2 Peureulak. Research instrument used in the form of questionnaire of media feasibility test, student response questionnaire and observation sheet. The results showed that the electromagnetic control trainer that has been developed feasible to be used as instructional media of electromagnetic control in electrical engineering skill program at SMKN 2 Peureulak. The achievement of feasibility of trainer was performed from the result of feasibility analysis by expert team which get the percentage of 81% with good category, and the result of student response to the electromagnetic control trainer get the percentage of 87% with very good category. There was a significant difference between the learners learning outcomes between before and after using trainers, where the average practice value before using the trainer was 77.81 and after the trainer, use increased to 82.30.

Abstract

Based on the results of the analysis conducted by the researchers, there are many unpredictable things like traffic accidents, robbery, theft case and others. This study aims to facilitate the community in reporting the unexpected events of each individual. The designed app will later give you an idea of which system will be used by the community to report instances that are experienced easily and quickly. This research uses prototyping method. This research is done by collecting the data needed to create an application design that can be used to disrupt the application. Data obtained for further processing can be obtained so that a design can be used as a picture when the application will be implemented.

Abstract

Penerapan metode demonstrasi dalam pembelajaran produktif sangat berpengaruh terhadap tingkat keberhasilan belajar siswa di SMK. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa banyak hasil belajar siswa SMK berada di bawah rata-rata. Ini disebabkan oleh guru yang kurang menerapkan metode demontrasi dalam pelajaran, sehingga bepengaruh dengan kemampuan hasil belajar mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan belajar siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Banda Aceh dengan diterapkan metode demonstrasi pada mata pelajaran Elektronika Dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan metode pre-experiment design: one-group pretes posttes design. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretes, postes dan angket. Kemudian data tersebut diolah dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian dikemukakan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Banda Aceh antara sesudah dan sebelum diterapkan metode demonstrasi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang dicapai pada pretes < postes (74,5 < 80,5). Setelah diolah menggunakan rumus uji-t diperoleh thitung = 1,96. Sedangkan ttabel diperoleh dengan menggunakan dk=n-1, dk=10-1=9 pada taraf signifikan 5%, yaitu 0,251. Sesuai dengan hipotesa awal penelitian ini bahwa, jika thitung > ttabel (1,96 > 0,521), maka Ha diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Banda Aceh.
