Abstract

This research started from the problem of low result Biology student learning, which is caused by several factors, that is: learning in one direction from the teacher to the students. Teacher becomes a major  role in the learning process (teacher centered), so that make students become passive and less active in learning, the model used by teacher less varied, when the techers explains lessons in the classroom, many students who daydream, annoy another friends and tell stories behind the class. Teacher as one determinant of the success of learning should be able to make students more active, motivated, active and  have the competence about material being taught. One model of learning that can improve student learning outcomes is a cooperative learning mode NHT type accompanied by visual media. The problem in this research is “ whether Biology student learning outcomes using cooperative learning model NHT type accompanied by visual media is higher than of Biolgy students learning outcomes using cooperative learning model NHT type without visual media?”. This study aims to determine whether the result of studying Biology student using cooperative learning model NHT type accompanied by visual media is higher than the results of studying Biology students using cooperative learning model NHT type without visual  media. The study population was all students of class X SMAN 4 solok city in academic year 2015/2016 which amounted to 176 people. Determine the experimental class and control class is taken by random sampling. X6 class as an experimental class with 25 studentsand classes X3 as a control class with 25 student. The findings of this study indicate that  tcount = 2,09 dan ttable = 1,68, this indicates that  tcount > ttable then the hypothesis is accepted at the  95% confidance level. Based on research result, it can be concluded that the results of studying Biology students using model cooperative learning NHT type accompanied by visual media is higher than of Biology students learning outcomes using model cooperative learning NHT type without visual media in class X SMAN 4 solok city.

Abstract

Banyak kendala yang dialami oleh mahasiswa dalam mempelajari mata kuliah Biologi karena materi yang sulit untuk divisualisasikan. Untuk mempelajari materi tersebut, harus menggunakan alat bantu berupa media sebagai sumber belajar. Salah satu media pembelajaran adalah modul yang dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan modul pembelajaran yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan four D models yaitu define phase, design phase, develop phase dan disseminate phase. Tahap yang dilaksanakan adalah sampai develop phase yaitu uji validitas, uji praktikalitas dan uji efektifitas. Untuk uji validitas dilakukan oleh 3 orang validator, dan untuk uji praktikalitas oleh 5 orang dosen, dan 100 orang mahasiswa pada lima perguruan tinggi kesehatan. Data diperoleh dari kuisioner validitas, praktikalitas dan efektifitas. Hasil validasi intrumen sebagai alat ukur penelitian yaitu 3,49 dengan kriteria sangat valid. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan sangat valid 3,41 dan praktis oleh dosen dengan nilai praktikalitas 3,76 dan 3,46 oleh mahasiswa.Sedangkan hasil efektifitas yang meliputi kompetensi kognitif yaitu 77,60 dengan kategori baik, kompetensi afektif 86,29 dengan kategori sangat baik dan kompetensi psikomotor 84,49 dengan kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

In addition to teaching methods, the position of instructional media in the form of teaching materials in the learning process is an important part that can not be separated. But the teaching material that the author  still found some deficiencies that led to the instructional materials less attractive to students. It is what lies behind the author to develop teaching materials in the form of worksheets on the material of chemicals in everyday life include educational games for students SMP / MTS class VIII. This study aims to produce a valid and practical worksheets for use in the learning process.This research is the development method, using a model of 4-D (four D), defining (define), design, development (develop), and disseminate. The development, researchers do the validation, which is done by three validator using the validation sheet and using sheets of questionnaire responses given to teachers and students to look at the practicalitas of the student worksheet.The results of the questionnaire validation data processing, resulting in a percentage of 96,11% were classified in the category of very valid. Test results practicalities questionnaire responses 88,8% of teachers get results and practicalities of student responses at 92,32%, which are both classified in the category of very practical.

Abstract

Analisis butirsoalpenting untukmengetahui mutu.Soalyang bermutu adalahsoalyangdapat memberikan informasi yangsesuaidengan tujuannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kualitas soal ulangan harian secara kuantitatif pada materi Struktur dan Jaringan Tumbuhan di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 24 Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Analisis soal dilakukan secara kuantitatif meliputi validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukaran soal. Hasil analisis nilai menunjukkan validitas termasuk kategori cukup, reliabilitas termasuk kategori sangat tinggi. Indeks kesukaran termasuk kriteria cukup (57,14%), Terlalu sukar (10,20 %), terlalu mudah (32,65%).  Analisis daya pembeda soal diperoleh hasil 8 buah soal dengan kriteria jelek sekali (16,32%), 23 buah soal (46,93%) kriteria jelek, 12 buah soal (24,48%) kriteria sedang dan 12,22 % yaitu sebanyak 8 soal kriteria baik. Dapat disimpulkan dari hasil analisis kuantitatif meliputi validitas, reliabilitas dan indeks kesukaran telah memenuhi kriteria soal yang baik, tetapi daya pembeda soal belum memenuhi kriteria soal yang baik.Kata kunci: Analisis kuantitatif, Struktur dan Fungsi Jaringan TumbuhanQuantitative Analysis of Daily Test Questions on Material of  Structure and Function of  Plant Tissue in Class VIII of Junior High School 24 Padang Analysis of items is important to know quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of the daily test questions quantitatively in the Structure and Plant Tissue material in class VIII SMP N 24 Padang. This research is a descriptive research. Question analysis is carried out quantitatively including validity, reliability, indexofdifficulties, and differentiationof  the  matter  of  test. The results of the value analysis show that the validity includes sufficient categories, the reliability includes a very high category. Difficulty’s indexes include sufficient criteria (57.14%), too difficult (10.20%), too easy (32.65%). The differentiationof  the  matter  of  test was obtained by the results of 8 questions with very bad criteria (16.32%), 23 questions (46.93%) bad criteria, 12 questions (24.48%) medium criteria and 12.22% ie as many as 8 questions about good criteria. Abstract

The quality of education requires the attention of all parties, especially the government and education personnel. The quality of education will be achieved if all components of education make a change to a better direction. The subject of the educational profession is prepares the students to understand the basics of education as a profession. Many students are not really understand with the subject matter of the educational profession whereas this subject is a very important as a preparation to become a teacher. Therefore lecturers must be able to apply various models that can improve students' understanding. One of them is the jigsaw learning model. This study aims to determine the perceptions of students using jigsaw learning model on the educational profession at UMMY Solok. This research is a descriptive research which is included in survey type. Population in this research which is all student of Economics fifth semester of academic year 2015/2016 which amounted to 15 people who have followed the process educational profession recovery using jigsaw learning model. The sample is a student of Economics  fifth semester of academic year 2015/2016, amounting to 15 people in the economic education program FKIP UMMY Solok who have followed subject of educational profession using jigsaw learning model. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Data collection technique using closed questionnaire with rating scale form. The conclusion of this research is student perception by using jigsaw learning model on the subject of the educational profession is very good.             Keywords: Perception, Jigsaw Learning Model, The subject of  Educational Profession.

Abstract

LKS yang digunakan oleh guru dalam proses pembelajaran masih ditemukangambar belum berwarna, soal-soal latihan berupa objektif,desain LKS belum menarik dan bervariasi. Ini menyebabkankurangnya minat siswa untuk belajar. Tujuan penelitian adalah untukmempermudah siswa memahami materi sistem regulasi manusia dan meningkatkan minat siswa dalam belajar.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan denganmenggunakan tiga tahap dari model 4-D, yaitu pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), dan pengembangan (develop). Hasil pengolahan data dari angket validasi, menghasilkan rata-rata sebesar 77%yang tergolong dalam kategori valid. Hasil pengujian angket praktikalitas respon guru memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 85,50% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan rata-rata praktikalitas respon siswa sebesar 87,62% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan, LKS yang dikembangkan, sudah valid dan praktis digunakan oleh guru dan siswa, sehingga layak untuk dijadikan LKS pembelajaran biologi.

Abstract

Danau bekas tambang merupakan ekositem perairan yang minim keanekaragaman hayati.  Plankton merupakan salah satu faktor biotik yang ada di Danau Bekas Tambang Batu Bara Desa Pangkalan Riau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis plankton yang mampu hidup pada danau bekas tambang batu bara.  Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling pada tiga stasiun dengan tiga kali ulangan. Sampel plankton di koleksi menggunakan net plankton no 25. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan april 2018. Total plankton yang didapatkan sebanyak 23 spesies, 14 famili dan 5 kelas. Kelas terbanyak yang ditemukan adalah kelas Bacillariophyceae (7 family, 15 spesies). Spesies terbanyak yang ditemuakan adalah Cylindrotheca closterium, Closterium idiosporum, Nitzschia longissima, Cosmarium formulosum dan Frustulia saxonica.

Abstract

Lessons are well planned by the teacher will provide good results as well. The ability to plan learning began in studied by prospective teachers in the university level biology courses Learning Program Development Biology. This course is intended to provide supplies for students as prospective teachers so that later on the activities of Field Education or at the time of becoming a teacher of their own competence in making the learning plan. Based on the monitoring results of Field Education students still can not make a good learning plan with them also complained of a given task so that they need guidance in the completion of the task. Therefore perform the process of learning by doing method of guided exercises. And I want to know how students perceptions of learning by using Method Exercise Course Guided in Education Program Development Biology Subject at UMMY Solok. This research is a descriptive study with a sample of students of Biology is the fifth semester of the school year 2015/2016 totaling 19 people in Biology Education Program UMMY Solok which has made the learning process by using the Guided Training Methods In Learning Course Development Biology Program at UMMY Solok. The sampling technique using total sampling. To obtain the data necessary data collection techniques used in the form of a questionnaire. The type of questionnaire used type of questionnaire enclosed with the form of rating scale. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Based on research data shows that students UMMY Solok has a good perception once in learning by using Guided Training Methods In Learning Course Development Biology Program at UMMY Solok.

Abstract

Mata kuliah Biologi Umum merupakan mata kuliah wajib yang menjadi prasyarat mata mata kuliah lanjutan dalam bidang biologi, sehingga kompetensi Biologi Umum menjadi sangat penting. Adanya dugaan atau anggapan bahwa jika lulus mata kuliah tersebut dengan predikat sangat baik maka kompetensi mata kuliah lain juga akan cenderung baik. Hal itu menandakan kompetensi Biologi Umum menjadi tolok ukur untuk kompetensi mata kuliah lainnya pada bidang biologi. Oleh sebab itu untuk membuktikan benar atau tidaknya anggapan tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian ini.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara nilai kognitif Biologi Umum dan nilai kognitif Taksonomi Invertebrata mahasiswa Program Studi pendidikan biologi STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat angkatan 2015.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif korelasi yang dilaksanakan pada Maret-Mei 2017 di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Sebagai populasi adalah 123 orang mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat angkatan 2015. Penetapan sampel secara random sampling. Dengan mempertimbangkan kelengkapan nilai Biologi Umum dan nilai Taksonomi Invertebrata, maka sampel (subjek penelitian) adalah 60  orang mahasiswa. Data penelitian berupa nilai kognitif (nilai murni) rata-rata dari nilai ujian tengah semester dan ujian akhir semester.  Nilai kognitif Biologi Umum sebagai variabel X dan nilai kognitif Taksonomi Invertebrata sebagai variabel Y dianalisis secara korelasional dengan rumus korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif tetapi agak rendah dan signifikan antara nilai kognitif Biologi Umum dan nilai kognitif Taksonomi Invertebrata mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat angkatan 2015. Sumbangan kompetensi kognitif mata kuliah Biologi Umum terhadap kompetensi kognitif mata kuliah Taksonomi Invertebrata hanya 32,49%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning terhadap aktivitas siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA di Indonesia. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan partisipan semua siswa kelas X. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan desain randomized posttest only control group. Sampel adalah siswa kelas X IPA3 sebagai eksperimen dan siswa kelas X IPA2 sebagai kontrol dan data dianalisis menggunakan t-test. Intrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah kuisioner sikap dengan skala pengukuran dan diolah dengan rumus persentase, maka diperoleh nilai siswa kelas eksperimen 83,56 dan siswa kelas kontrol 83,49. Nilai yang diperoleh kemudian diuji statistik dengan t-test. Didapatkan thitung = 0,27 < ttabel = 1,67 sehingga H1 ditolak. Berdasarkan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning tidak memiliki pengaruh yang baik terhadap pembelajaran di ranah afektif.
