Abstract

Working position of Songket workers at Tenunan Antik Pusako Minang Pandai Sikek were not ergonomic. There were indicated by the presence of curvature, incompatibility machine dimension with operator anthropometric (artisans songket) so that appear complaints on a worker’s limb. It required the assessment and review of work postures using the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). The results is that final score of each work posture and level of risk. There are 6 working posture is often performed by workers. Working posture has final score 7 and higher risk level is sitting hunched forward with his arms and legs on tiptoe, and sat with his arms held forward positions.

Abstract

Comfort and safety of public transportation, particularly APTB PPD buses, becomes high expectations for its customers. Those expectations must be supported by the application of a good engine maintenance system. By using the method of Reliability Centered Maintenance may be determined appropriate actions to mitigate damage. From the analysis known the failures of the APTB PPD bus are malfunctions of the fuel engine, power transfer systems, difficulty to move the gear lever, and lubricating system for the rough engine noise. The cause of engine malfunction is dirty diesel filter, vehicle acceleration malfunction is due to the clutch plate wear out. Difficulty to move the gear lever indicates that the clutch slips. Rough engine noise caused by the flow of oil to the engine stalled as the result of dirty oil filter. The results of the logic tree analysis show that for each failure requires scheduling of time directed task.

Abstract

On tire darning process or in short tire patch a lot of utilize kerosene for goo brew or goo nipping on inner tube that is patched. Now kerosene price crawls to ascend and adequately is hard to be gotten. Method that is utilized in this product development is scheme and Product Development (P3) with aim can give contribution to society in particular effort owner patches tire at territorial one less supply strikes oil. In this scheme there are some that step is acquired shaped product which corresponds to consumer wish amongst those: survey is market, voice of customer, discussions group and product design determination. Of result gets that data processing tool design patches tire to utilize electricity energy with auto working system which hot control will hang up electricity current what if up to heat dot 112 oC. Compares experimental result tool brew time patch kerosene tire with tool patches memilkis electricity tire time difference 3 minutes. And of return period, tool patches faster electricity tire instead of long time product so alternative is correct more elect tool patches electricity tire with numeral return 0,0028 year and long time product 0,0047 years. Second experimental compare that tool can conclude electric tire patch tool better instead of tool patches to strike oil.

Abstract

This article attempts to schedule flow shop production using Nawaz Enscore Ham (NEH) to schedule jobs machining. The objective of this paper is to minimize total makespan which could reduce total production costs. This paper is based on the case study where NEH is applied in scheduling jobs in machines and then compared with the existing machine’s scheduling. The algorithm of NEH is also used to reduce idle time of machines so that the utility or performances of the machine are maintained.  The results of NEH simulation indicate that by applying NEH algorithm to scheduling machines for 10 jobs and 5 machines can reduce 2.5 per cent or 118 minutes of completing time of jobs. It also decreases total idle time of machines about 582 minutes compared with the existing scheduling.

Abstract

PT. Meshindo Alloy Wheel adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur alloy wheel atau dikenal dengan sebutan velg racing untuk didistribusikan ke industri mobil atau dikenal sebagai OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) baik untuk industri otomotif di Indonesia maupun di Jepang. Mutu merupakan syarat penting dalam sukses bisnis. Kehandalan kinerja proses dan keakuratan pencapaian persyaratan mutu harus dapat dipenuhi. Proses dikatakan capable jika dapat memenuhi spesifikasi pelanggan, variasi yang terjadi pada proses relatif kecil, dan defect atau DPMO yang terjadi kecil.  Artikel ini menganalisis pengendalian mutu proses pembuatan valve hole location pada alloy wheel type MS 511 YA. Pengendalian variasi proses produksi dan pengukuran dengan menggunakan metode six sigma DMAIC (Define Measure Analysis Improve Control) untuk dapat mencapai target penurunan cacat sampai mencapai 3,4 DPMO (defect per million opportunities), Cp 1,54 dan Cpk 1,54. Setelah proses six sigma selesai, diharapkan implementasi six sigma dapat memberikan saran-saran perbaikan pada proses-proses yang lain.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to suggest the optimal raw material inventory system alternatives synchronized with the stock out characteristics and the condition can be occurred, the backorder raw material inventory control, beside that it also can reduce lead time and raw material ordering cost. In this case, the inventory models also extent (Q, R) Inventory Model Under lead Time and Ordering Cost Reduction with lead time and ordering cost can be reduced. After the calculation, the optimal solution of inventory models can be obtained; those are with backorder condition which produced the annual inventory total cost for the company.

Abstract

Malang is one of the industrial centers of tempe chips. To maintain the quality and food safety, analysis is required to identify the hazards during the production process. This study was conducted to identify the hazards during the production process of tempe chips and provide recommendations for developing a HACCP system. The phases of production process of tempe chips are started from slice the tempe, move it to the kitchen, coat it with flour dough, fry it in the pan, drain it, package it, and then storage it. There are 3 types of potential hazards in terms of biological, physical, and chemical during the production process. With the CCP identification, there are three processes that have Critical Control Point. There are the process of slicing tempe, immersion of  tempe into the flour mixture and draining. Recommendations for the development of HACCP systems include recommendations related to employee hygiene, supporting equipment, 5-S analysis, and the production layout.

Abstract

Jamboel Kipas adalah UKM yang memproduksi souvenir kipas dengan sistem pesanan make to order. Seiring perkembangan waktu, Jamboel Kipas tidak dapat memenuhi pesanan karena keterbatasan kapasitas produksi souvenir kipas. Hal ini disebabkan karena waktu proses yang lama terjadi pada bagian penyayatan bambu, yaitu sebesar 22 detik/iratan. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas penyayatan bambu serta memperbaiki posisi operator saat bekerja, dengan perancangan mesin penyayat bambu berdasar anthropometri ukuran tubuh operator, keluhan selama bekerja, dan waktu proses penyayatan bambu. Hasil penelitian setelah perancangan menunjukan posisi operator saat bekerja cukup ergonomis karena ukuran tempat kerja disesuaikan dengan dimensi antropometri operator. Waktu baku pada kondisi sebelum perancangan sebesar 21,16 detik/iratan dan output standar sebesar 170,09 iratan/jam. Sedangkan setelah perancangan sebesar 4,42 detik/iratan dan output standarnya sebesar 815,22 iratan/jam dengan peningkatan output standar 479,46%, terjadi penurunan waktu baku sebesar 378,73%. Sementara itu nilai break event point terjadi ketika UKM Jamboel Kipas sudah memproduksi 12927  kipas.

Abstract

CV. Segitiga is a company engaged in tofu manufacture. In the manual screening process, workers perform screening activities with standing postures and the hands shaking sieve so that workers spend a lot of energy that causes a long time as well as the screening process less efficient. Besides, the use of a manual screening causes pain complaints of workers in some parts of the workers’ body. In this study, a screening tool designed to facilitate the work and shorten the time of screening in the process of making tofu. Tools that have been created using the motor so can reduce worker fatigue and injury and speed up screening process. By using the tool, the savings are Rp. 1.000.600/month and screening times can be shortened by 55.1%.

Abstract

Planning and scheduling of the distribution of goods in PT. Senatama Laboranusa are not well coordinated, so the demand for each product is out of control, which results in deficiency or excess of inventories in both of the factories and each warehouse. This problem will affect the distribution cost incurred by the company. In this study, the distribution data process is done by using Distribution Requirement Planning method and route distribution processing by using Saving Matrix, in which both of these methods can group the delivery schedule and flow of distribution route regularly. PO Release, which contains time, order amount of each area, and lot size EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method used; will be generated from the calculation of DRP. From the calculation of Saving Matrix, route order sequence is applied by using Nearest Neighbor method. After the implementation of Distribution Requirement Planning, the cost reduction resulted is 29.75% and the difference in distance after the application of Saving Matrix is 983.3 Km. With a good distribution activity planning and scheduling, the success rate in meeting the customer demand would be more optimal, while sales performance increases in fulfilling orders in a timely manner and  appropriate amount, hence the distribution costs can be kept as minimum as possible.
