Abstract

The background of this research is the importance of the school to know the student's honesty degree. Purpose of research implementation is to measure the elementary school student's honesty degree. The research did on Mei 2013 until Juny 2013 at Pendrikan Lor 02 State Elementery School Semarang City. This research used qualitative method. Data resources result from observations, interviews, and documents. Data analysis technique did triangular. The results showed that honesty of students in Pendrikan Lor 02 State Primary school Semarang City, not yet reached 100% fully. There are still some students who have not been able to behave honestly. Dishonest behavior is caused by (1) the opportunity; (2) environmental conditions (students come from poor environment and uneducated). Nevertheless, from the data graph shows that an increase in the level of honesty from day to day although it also occurs conditions showed that the level of honesty decreased.Keywords: honesty, cart, elementary school.

Abstract

The ability to design authentic and meaningful learning task is one of thousands preconditions of teachers. Findings shown that elementary school teachers could not be able to design and apply meaningful tasks in and after the teaching time (Rohayati, 2007; Hamzah, 2009; Budimansyah; 2009). PGSD UPI as one of the institutions preparing elementary teachers to be should concern more on this condition. The curriculum designed here should reflect the needs of elementary school teachers to be especially their needs of realizing the goals and objectives that have been established previously by the institution, and how they are reflected through learning tasks in the classroom, especially the classroom for these teachers to be in PGSD Kampus Sumedang. Therefore, the research selects participants from that site, 126 students and 28 lecturers. They were given questionnaires designed in line with three research questions: 1) how do students and lecturers perceive learning tasks? 2) how are students’ and teachers’ roles in collecting the data for learning tasks? 3) has the learning tasks thus far been designed to meet the standardized of authentic tasks? 4) how lecturers and students perceive feedback for their learning tasks? The result shows that the perception of students and lecturers toward learning tasks influence how they behave toward it, hence, if once it has been found misperceived, the construction is need of revisiting.Keywords: learning task, feedback, authentic task, goals, objectives.

Abstract

A knowledge is the result from students' self-construction idea, which makes more meaning full of learning process. Sometimes, teachers forget to elicit students’ life experience as their prior knowledge. If this prior knowledge exposed, student will be easily received the new idea, because the students indirectly build their own knowledge. The constructivism point of learning is a teaching and learning process in such a way will make students are mentally active in construct their own knowledge, based on their cognitive structure. It must be considered how the children forming their concept in cognitive structure as the acquisition in geometry concepts. Knowing of the geometry formulas is not a guarantee that the student has thoroughly been learning about the geometry concept. On the other hand, the formula of rectangles’ area is not come instantly, but it can be reformulated by the construction of students’ prior knowledge. I brought them in a specific activity that makes them enjoy and vigorously; students are directed to find a rectangles’ formula.Keywords: constructivism, build knowledge, discovery, and rectangular formula.

Abstract

This purpose of this study wants to know how the effectiveness, and the effect inquire learning with experiment method in science lesson to elementary school. The methodology in this study uses a One Group pre-test post-test design. Participants in this study are 25 students. The instrument had a two aspect that is cognitive ability, and science processes skills. The result showed that inquire learning in this study has a medium effective and shows the significant between before and after using the inquire learning in the two aspect to this study.Keywords: inquire learning, cognitive ability, science process skills.

Abstract

Class IV Elementary School students Jatiroke I Jatinangor Sumedang Regency difficulties in completing the learning to identify the type of pet food in learning science. Efforts are being made to overcome this problem is to use cooperative learning model Students Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) through classroom action research. Based on the research results, in cycle 1 has been a significant increase in learning to identify the type of pet food, namely the acquisition value of 18 students who scored in the top 70 increased to 10 students or 55%. In cycle 2, all students or 100% of students scored in the top 70.Keywords: learning, cooperative, STAD, IPA, animals.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research with the shape of repeatedly the cycle. Subject of this research is the third year-students of a State Islamic Elementary School I, Bandung. Instrument used during this research is an essay test (viz. subjective test), namely test of every cycle and observation of students and teachers’ activity. Based on the research finding it is concluded that the learning process with the index card match method conducted in three cycles can enhance the students’ learning outcomes. The highest percentage of score average on the students’ activity is 90.30% at the third cycle. Meanwhile, the highest percentage of score average on the teachers’ activity is 94.10% at the third cycle. In addition, the students’ learning outcomes also increase at each of cycles. That is, the score average over the cycle I is 46.51%, of the cycle II 63.48%, and of the cycle III 78.48%.Keywords: index card match, method, learning outcome.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve ecoliteracy students through field-trip method of the impact upon economic activity in the form of waste tahu. This study uses observations in the form of the method field-trip to the factory tahu and the school environment. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (classroom action research) in the fourth-grade students of SDN Lembur Situ , North Sumedang. Ecoliteracy indicator of this research is to use an indicator of Thomas Lickona (2012) in which there are knowledge aspect, awareness and application. The research instrument used was direct observation of a student observation sheets, questionnaires, student worksheets, test tool evaluation and field record sheets were used to obtain data through records in a form and format that checklist done by the author and our partners as an observer. Implementation of classroom action research was conducted three cycles. Results from this study are the increased understanding, awareness and application of students to ecoliteracy.Keywords: ecoliteracy, field-trip, economic, IPS, SD.

Abstract

This research inspects about preservation of traditional art through tembang sunda cianjuran on Citra radio 99, 4 FM Sumedang. The problems inspected in this research as follows, First, how does the preservation of tembang sunda cianjuran present on the Citra Radio 99, 4 FM broadcast program? Second, how does the contribution of the electronic media Citra radio broadcast programme for tembang sunda cianjuran and the artist in Sumedang? In order to get the answer to the problems, the qualitative research done, that is the content analysis. Content analysis is one of the research methods to produce objective and systematic description. The result from this research shows that Citra Radio 99, 4 FM Sumedang broadcast program can be a system support to tembang sunda cianjuran. This broadcast can stimulate the listener memory about tembang sunda cianjuran that the listener ever heard or studied when they are still young. The contribution of the radio can be felt by the artist, especially to the popularity of the music player and the singer of Citra radio 99,4 FM.Keywords: tembang, preservation, media.

Abstract

Selection of appropriate learning approaches and strategies, will facilitate the achievement of these learning activities. Similarly, in mathematics learning activities in PGSD (department of elementary school preservice teacher), which is demanding the development of a high level of mathematical ability as well as critical thinking skills. However, not many people are trying to look for other factors in addition to the approach/learning strategy, which is possible to contribute to the development of critical thinking skills, such as interest factor majors students (IPA [science] and non-IPA [non-science]) as well as mathematical prior knowledge which has been owned previously. In addition, affective aspects that accompany any critical thinking skills (critical disposition) is a study that is still rare. This paper briefly present to peel the election factor of approaches and learning strategies, ie, problem based learning with "MURDER" strategy, shared interests and their interaction majors and mathematical prior knowledge of the result of performance of critical thinking skills and dispositions of PGSD students.Keywords: problem-based learning, the "MURDER" strategy, mathematical prior knowledge, critical thinking skills, critical thinking disposition.
