Abstract

This study aims at determining the extent to which aspects of scientific literacy that consist of science as a body knowledge, science as the way of investigating, science as the way of thinking, and interaction among of science technology and society presented in the teacher book . The source of research data is an integrated thematic teacher book grade IV theme 3 concerned about the living creatures. The research study uses descriptive analysis to describe the aspects of scientific literacy. The analysis uses instruments that adopted from Chiapetta, Sethna and Filman in Padayache. The result of the analysis showed that two important findings: 1) aspect of science as a body of knowledge having the highest percentage of the three aspects; 2) Not all of indicators of the aspects found in the teacher book guide. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain the learning device (syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheet) integrated character education using 3M strategy (Knowing Moral, Moral Feeling, and Moral Action) on the curriculum in 2013, and look at the effectiveness of the learning device for shaping the character of the participants learners. The study design used was a quasi-experimental control grouph pre test-post test. This research was conducted in SDN 3 Klangenan and SDN 1 Sumber to fourth grade students. The effectiveness of the learning device is made to be seen from the results of student learning, character assessment, student response to learning. Based on these data we can conclude the application of learning curriculum 3M 2013 using effective strategies to improve students' character.Keywords: character education, curriculum 2013, 3M strategy.

Abstract

Dalam Kurikulum 2006, di Sekolah Dasar, pembelajaran sastra dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa mengapresiasi karya sastra. Kegiatan mengapresiasi sastra berkaitan dengan latihan mempertajam perasaan, penalaran, daya khayal, serta kepekaan terhadap masyarakat, budaya dan lingkungan hidup. Pengembangan kemampuan bersastra di sekolah dasar dilakukan dalam berbagai jenis dan bentuk melalui kegiatan mendengarkan, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis. Namun dalam Kurikulum 2013, kegiatan bersastra, kurang mendapat porsi yang baik. Padahal pendekatan kurikulum tersebut mengisyaratkan penekanannya pada pengembangan sikap dan budi pekerti, yang tentu saja sastra sebagai bahan yang sangat kaya untuk dijadikan landasan mengasah kepribadian dan budi pekerti mengingat sastra mengandung nilai personal maupun nilai pendidikan yang luar biasa. Hasil analisisKompetensi Dasar pada Permendikbud No 57 Tahun 2014, di kelas I ada teks cerita diri, kelas II cerita narasi dan lirik puisi, di kelas III dongeng, di kelas IV cerita petualangan dan pantun serta syair, di kelas V, fiksi sejarah, hal tersebut tentunya berpengaruh pada isi Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa, yang ternyata memperlihatkan sastra yang tercakup dalam isi buku kurang memadai (sangat kurang), karena isi Buku Guru maupun Buku Siswa, turunan dari Kompetensi Dasar yang sudah dipetakan secara tematik integratif.

Abstract

This paper examines one of the main teachers' competence, ie pedagogical competence of teachers who have been certified educators in Sumedang district. This type of research is a survey research with descriptive-quantitative method. The population was 592 certified teachers in the district of North and South Sumedang, with a sample of 60 teachers. Data collected through questionnaire (Likert scale) on the respondent one (R1) is a certified teacher of 60 people, two respondents (R2) are colleagues who have not been certified 60 people, and three respondents (R3) is the principal of 60 people, so total respondents amounted to 180 people. Processing and data analysis was performed using SPSS 16 through frequency analysis and correlation. The results stated that the average pedagogical competence of teachers at the GOOD category, with the acquisition value of 3.02 (75.48%). However, when seen by the results of the correlation answer, where answer between R1 and R2 are many significant / agree, but the answers are not many significant R3 / contrary, it can be concluded that the average pedagogical abilities certified teacher educators in Sumedang district, is in the category ENOUGH based on answers from 150 respondents (84.3%), and is in the category GOOD based on answers from 28 respondents (15.7%). Abstract

National education is still experiencing difficulties in producing quality graduates, skilled, and creative that can serve as a driving source in various fields of development. And outputs the result of education is often a burden on the government to meet their needs for social services, employment, subsidies, and the like. They pass and emerge as new citizens who are not able to offer a solution, but rather a source of trouble and anxiety community. One source of problems in education is still weak education that can cultivate the essential values of humanity. Where today there has been a separation between "intellectual education" with "educational value". This dichotomy shows the smallness of the mind, because the moral value is not different from the intellectual dimension, but is the foundation for intellectual growth. It is necessary for the implementation of a curriculum that is based on the improvement of the competence-based character education aside from it in the process of implementation should be in accordance with how to implement character education. Abstract

Curriculum 2013 provides flexibility to all practitioners of formal education to continue to develop local contentas a form of wealth typical of the region that needs to be maintained and preserved. One of the local content that its existence has importance values is Bahasa Sunda. Teaching Bahasa Sunda in a region where based on a strong Sundanese culture, will not encounter many obstacles. However, in the corners of the area which incidentally is the city/county with very heterogeneous demographi cconditions, of course teaching Bahasa Sunda will be filled with challenges. For example, in areas bordering other culture such Betawi and Java, because of the flexibility of the culture, Sundanese people will be influenced by the Betawior Javanese speech and cultured. This paper is the result of research conducted on the raised border of the city of Bogor, on the implementation of Curriculum 2013, which continued to develop local content Bahasa Sunda to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitude typical of Sundanese culture appropriate local wisdom. But on the other hand, collided with a dilemma, where border communitiesis very heterogeneous, so the Sundanese culture and language had not been well maintained. Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning module addition and subtraction of integers with CTL approach that has been customized according to Johnson. Development model used in this study is the development model of Plomp is divided into five phases. The design of the development of this module will adopt until the fourth phase. The research instrument prepared in this study consisted of; (1) The questionnaire responses of experts and practitioners, (2) the student questionnaire, (3) observation sheets and questionnaires, (4) copies of the test. Subject of this research is the development of students in grade 4 in SDN 4 Malasan. Product development has met the criteria for a valid, practical, and effective. Validity of achievement percentage of 90, 46%. While the percentage of daily tests of completeness that is 82, 35%, and the percentage of student responses is 87, 5% and there is one subject that is not included. In terms of practicality, the average score validation result is 3, 6 (high criteria) and filling the questionnaire scores of observers, namely 3, 5 (high criterion). Abstract

Despite changes intended to improve educational curriculum to better direction but in the process of implementation still experiencing problems. Many things that cause it. One is the lack of understanding of the particulars of the curriculum in 2013 particularly for learning Indonesian language and literature. There are still many elementary school teachers who have not mastered, even understand it. Based on observations made in Banten province, nearly 50% of primary school teachers do not understand the particulars of learning Indonesian language and literature in the curriculum in 2013. It is certainly very unfortunate, because the teacher is one of the cornerstones of educational success. If teachers do not understand and master the curriculum to be applied in the classroom, of course it will have an impact on student learning outcomes. Therefore the discussion of learning Indonesian language and literature for primary school based curriculum in 2013 is certainly very important and necessary for practitioners, especially those that work in the world of elementary school. Discussion about learning Indonesian language and literature based curriculum in 2013 is expected to be one of the doors to open insight, understanding, and mastery, which will have an impact on learning outcomes over the maximum. Abstract

In general, the learning activity that occurs is more emphasis on the process of learning to learn to answer questions rather than learn how to present the question. Students do not learn how to bring mathematical problems (problem posing) are of interest to them, from a mathematical situation faced. This results in the problem of finding the weak ability of students, so the ability of the idea of finding and problem solving students also weak. Idea finding, problem finding and problem solving is an aspect of the ability of Creative Problem Solving (CPS) mathematically. Therefore, the ability of CPS becomes very necessary to be developed in the learning of mathematics. For this purpose, the necessary mathematics learning more digging ability in presenting the problem and resolve the concerns raised by the students themselves, using the Situation-Based Learning (SBL). This study used a quasi-experimental. The results of the study concluded that an increase in the ability to obtain mathematical CPS students getting SBL better learning than students who received conventional learning significantly. CPS strongest mathematical ability of the students are in fact finding aspects, while CPS mathematical abilities of the students in the weakest aspect of finding acceptance. Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of thematic learning in SDN Tanjungrejo 1 Malang. The subjects were teachers and students of class I and IV SDN Tanjungrejo 1 Malang. The research approach used is qualitative research case study according to the research focus. Data collection techniques used in this study include: in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of thematic learning in SDN Tanjungrejo 1 Malang is in accordance with the curriculum in 2013, but there are still some obstacles include: the ability of teachers to manage large classes and students who have not mastered basic skills. It can be concluded that the implementation of thematic learning class I and IV in SDN Tanjungrejo 1 Malang has been accomplished in accordance with the curriculum in 2013, but still requires the right strategy in order to be done well.
