Abstract

There are numerous studies about the relationship between emotional intelligence and coping stress. However, there’s still a few studies that examined the relationship of those two in gamer. Hence, the aimed of this study is to empirically examined the relationship between emotional intelligence and coping stress in gamer. The hypothesis of this study stated that there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and coping stress. Participants of the study were 101 college students who is played video game with age range from 17 to 25. Product moment technique was used to analyze the data. The result of the study showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between emotional intelligence and coping stress (p < 0,001; r = 0,586). Based on this result, the hypothesis was accepted.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep psikoterapi yang didasarkan pada ajaran kawruh jiwa dengan ngudari reribetnya yang berbasiskan rasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan fenomenologi sebagai perspektif. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah dua orang pelajar kawruh jiwa. Data didapatkan melalui metode wawancara mendalam dan disertai dengan triangulasi data literatur. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan mawas diri dengan jalan kandha-takon melalui nyawang karep untuk nyocokaken raos dalam ngudari reribet adalah sebagai sebuah esensi model psikoterapi kawruh jiwa Ki Ageng Suryomentaram

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to investigate the influence of job enrichment toward employee engagement through psychological meaningfulness as the mediator. Research design used is a cross-sectional study of 112 employees. Data is analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis. Result shows job enrichment is able to influence employee engagement significantly through psychological meaningfulness as the mediator. The p=0,000 with significance level 0,05. The sig F change shows 0,006, which is&lt;0,05, therefore mediation effect is significant. Mediation effect also has a better influence than the direct effect. The effect is increasing from 27,2% without mediator to 31,5% with mediator.Keywords: employee engagement, psychological meaningfulness, job enrichment

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi prestasi belajar matematika berdasar belajar regulasi diri (BBRD) dan dukungan sosial. Subjek penelitiannya adalah 138 siswa SMK jurusan Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan di SMK “A” di Situbondo, Jawa Timur. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala belajar berdasar regulasi diri, skala dukungan sosial, dan dokumentasi hasil belajar matematika. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis regresi dua prediktor melalui perangkat lunak SPPS. Hasil analisis regresi mempreoleh nilai F regresi=70,161; R 2 =0,510 dengan p0,05). Abstract

This research tried to investigate the effect of imaginative play in metacognition of math among children with intelligence as the covariable. Method used in this study was quasi experiment using the untreated controlled group design with dependent pretest and posttest samples. There were three groups used in this study, which were: Experiment Group 1, this group was given storytelling as the treatment, Experiment Group 2, this group was given pretending plays as the treatment, and Group 3 is a control group. Metacognition was measured with Metacognitive Skills and Knowledge Assessment developed by Desoete, Roeyers, &amp; Buysse (2001), meanwhile intelligence was measured with Standard Progressive Matrices developed by Raven. Using the statistic of ancova, the result showed the value of F 12.526 (p&lt;0.05) meaning that by controlling intelligence, it was found that there was an effect of imaginative play to metacognition. Based on pairwise comparison it was found that: a) there was a significant difference of metacognition between the group 1 (storytelling as the treatment) and group 3 (control group), b) there was a significant difference of metacognition between the group 1 (storytelling as the treatment) and group 2 (pretending play as the treatment), but 3) there was no significant difference of metacognition between the group 2 (pretending play as the treatment and group 3 (control group). It was found that the effective contribution of imaginative play to the variance of metacognition was 29.5% (R squared=0.295) and effective contribution of intelligence to the variance of metacognition was 10.7% (R squared= 0.107).Keywords: imaginative play, storytelling, pretending play, metacognition

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji pengaruh bermain musik ansambel terhadap perilaku asertif dalam belajar sight reading pada siswa lembaga pendidikan musik. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa di lembaga pendidikan musik berada pada grade 1 dan II, memiliki kemampuan membaca not balok yang rendah dan berusia 11-15 tahun. Penelitian dilakukan secara kuasi eksperimen dengan jumlah 16 orang untuk kelompok eksperimen dan 16 orang untuk kelompok kontrol. Bermain musik ansambel dilakukan sebanyak lima kali pertemuan dengan waktu setiap pertemuan 60-75 menit. Desain penelitian menggunakan untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. Perilaku asertif dalam belajar sight reading diukur dengan menggunakan skala perilaku asertif dalam belajar sight reading. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan uji-t. Abstract

Expatriation has become a phenomenon that can be found in many parts of the world as entering globalization era. Expatriation has been done not only by employees that were assigned by their company but also by individuals who choose to develop their capabilities by having cross cultures experiences and become a self-initiated expatriate. The aim of this study was to find meaning and process of self-initiated expatriate psychological acculturation in Yogyakarta. This study used phenomenological qualitative approach to comprehend meaning of self-initiated expatriate psychological acculturation in Yogyakarta. Data was gathered through in-depth interviews with six self-initiated expatriates that has built a new life in Yogyakarta with their spouse. The research findings showed that respondents chose to be self-initiated expatriates in Yogyakarta to seize an opportunity of a better living in Yogyakarta. In acculturation process, they develop two kinds of coping, adopting new culture and maintaining original culture. They combined both cultures values in their selves that caused changes in their cognitive, behavior and attitude and became an integrated self as a result. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang resiliensi pada remaja Jawa dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya terkait dengan permasalahannya didalam keluarga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan tipe fenomenologi. Responden penelitian ini, adalah remaja Jawa berusia 16 tahun sampai 21 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kemampuan resiliensi pada remaja Jawa yang dipengaruhi resiliensi keluarga, teman sebaya, dan nilai-nilai budaya Jawa rila, narima, dan sabar, religiusitas dan lingkungan sosial. Remaja yang mengalami konflik dalam keluarga ternyata mampu keluar dari tekanan dan bangkit dari peristiwa-peristiwa buruk masa lalu. Sikap resiliensi mencakup kemampuan remaja menghindari stres yang menekan atau depresi yang dialaminya dan tetap produktif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti peran kepercayaan interpersonal secara online memperkuat hubungan antara kesepian dan pengungkapan diri pada 162 siswa-siswi. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini adalah skala kesepian, skala pengungkapan diri, dan kepercayaan interpersonal di jejaring sosial online. Hasil penelitian ini tidak menemukan perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa perempuan dibandingkan laki-laki pada diri secara online dalam mengungkapkan diri. Siswa perempuan lebih lama dalam waktu penggunaan jejaring sosial online dibandingkan dengan siswa laki-laki. Penelitian juga menemukan bahwa siswa perempuan memiliki situs jejaring sosial online lebih banyak seperti Facebook, Twitter, dan Instagram dibandingkan dengan siswa laki-laki. Penggunaan waktu selama tiga jam adalah rentang waktu paling banyak digunakan oleh partisipan. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kesepian dan pengungkapan diri secara online yang dimoderatori oleh kepercayaan interpersonal online.
