Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Fisika Al-Biruni is a medium of communication used by researchers, lecturers, teachers, practitioners, and University student for submitting result of studies and prioritized result of research in the field of theoretical physics, applied physics, and physics learning include: development of instruments of evaluation physics, development of instructional media physics, the development of learning model of physics, and Quasi-Experiment. Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Fisika Al-Biruni published comprehensive research articles and reviews by leading experts in the field. Selected articles, which has a high scientific achievement, provide important new knowledge, and high benefits to society of physics and physics education. The Journal was first published in 2012 and regularly published twice per year in April and October. Since 2014 this journal began in the online.

Abstract

This research was done on the subsurface structure of Nyelanding village hot spring, Air Gegas district, South Bangka with coordinates 2 44’54.514” South Latitude and 106 16’6.773” East Longitude using the Schlumberger geoelectricity configuration method. Measurements were made on three different tracks. The results of the Schlumberger configuration geoelectricity measurements for the three trajectories indicate the presence of granite rock distribution with resistivity values ranging from 455 – 1046 m.

Abstract

This paper describes the process of designing an LMS-based blended learning for electrodinamics topic and describing its validity. The study implemented research and development model of Gall et al. (2013) which consist of three main stages; preliminary research, product design and product development. Preliminary research was conducted at SMAN 1 Gadingrejo. Blended learning set produced in this study were syllabus, lesson plan, students’ worksheet, handout and online class by LMS Schoology. On the product development process, experts judgement was done to assess validity of the product. The results showed that the blended learning set had validity of 83,7% and 84,8% from two experts. Based on these results, it can be concluded that blended learning set has very good validities as learning set of electrodynamics topic.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan perangkat blended learning berbasis LMS dengan model inkuiri pada materi listrik dinamis, mengetahui validitas produk yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini mengacu pada prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan dari Gall et al., (2003) yang meliputi studi pendahuluan, perancangan program dan pengembangan program. Pada tahap studi pendahuluan dilakukan di SMA N 1 Gadingrejo. Pada tahap perancangan produk dilakukan pembuatan perangkat blended learning yang meliputi silabus, RPP, LKPD, handout dan kelas online dengan LMS Schoology. Pada tahap pengembangan produk dilakukan dilakukan uji ahli untuk menilai validitas produk. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa validitas produk sebesar 83,7% dan 84,8% dari penilaian dua orang ahli. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini maka disimpulkan bahwa perangkat blended learning memiliki validitas yang sangat baik sebagai perangkat pembelajaran pada materi pokok listrik dinamis.

Abstract

This research was conducted to identify the science process skills of the physics education students of Jambi University in prism refraction practicum after using the basic physics practicum guidebook II. This research is a quantitative descriptive method. The study was conducted with a sample of 91 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using a science process skill observation sheet which was supported by interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that most students are highly skilled in implementing science process skills-based practicum with the following percentages: observing by 48.35%, classifying by 38.46%, measuring by 39.56%, predicting by 58.64%, compiling data tables by 51.65%, making graph by 58.24%, planning the experiment by 61.54%, and conducting the experiment by 45.05%. The students were also quite skilled in constructing hypotheses and defining variables with the percentage of 57.14% and 39.56%, respectively. The results of the study are expected to be used as a consideration for study programs and other faculties at Jambi University as well as other universities to conduct related studies.

Abstract

Inquiry-discovery learning plays an important role in improving high-order thinking skills (HOTS) and scientific literacy (SL). In this HOTS and SL research, it was designed with Inquiry-discovery based learning. The purpose of this study was to promote Inquiry discovery models in empowering higher-order thinking skills and scientific literacy in physics with different classes. This research used Quasi-Experimental Design research, and Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research analysis design matrix used two-way ANOVA. The sample was taken from two classes, namely the experimental and control classes of 68 students. The results of the study prove that Inquiry discovery can improve HOTS and SL physics of students. Thus, inquiry-discovery can be recommended to increase student's HOTS and SL physics when compared to conventional classes. The novelty of this study is that inquiry-discovery learning models are more likely to reconstruct students' scientific knowledge of physics on aspects of HOTS and SL with real-world life.

Abstract

The application of Integrated teaching materials in teaching and learning science is very important, to support students acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills and make the learning process more memorable. Teachers must be good at choosing methods and packaging the teaching materials well to attract students' learning interests. This study aims to examine the analysis of the development of integrated Science on Student Worksheet using the steps of cooperative methods of Student Teams Achievement Divisions type. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach (Multi-case single-site case study design). The data were collected through analytical documents and analyzed thematically with NVIVO 10 software. The results showed that the steps to develop integrated science on Student Worksheet using cooperative method of Student Teams Achievement Divisions are: (1) In Student Worksheet there must be motivation and apperception; (2) team building; (3) presentations from teachers; (4) learning activities in teams must be heterogeneous; (5) implementation of individual quizzes; (6) awarding. The results of this study are discussed with various results of previous research.

Abstract

The applicability of guided inquiry method uses physics tool KIT to improve the results of students in learning physics at class 8 SMPN 8 Kerinci on the concept of light. This research is a classroom action research which conducted in three cycles, that aims to determine the increase of learning activities and students learning outcomes. The research subject is students of class 8 totals 40 students. The data obtained from test and observation sheets were analyzed using descriptive statistics. This research was conducted through four stages; planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of this study show that the activity increase student learning. In cycle I the average score at 16 with less criteria, in cycle II of 20 criteria enough, and cycle III of 26 criteria good. The students learning outcomes also increased in each cycle. Criteria for the improvement of learning outcomes derived from the value of attitude, skill, and knowledge.Penerapan Metode Inkuiri Terbimbing Menggunakan Media KIT Fisika Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Fisika Siswa Kelas VIIIA SMP Negeri 8 Kerinci Pada Konsep Cahaya. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan Aktivitas belajar dan Hasil belajar siswa. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIA yang berjumlah 40 orang. Data yang diperoleh dari tes dan lembar observasi dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat. Pada siklus I rata-rata skor sebesar 16 dengan kriteria kurang, pada siklus II sebesar 20 dengan kriteria cukup, dan siklus III sebesar 26 dengan kriteria baik. Hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat pada setiap siklus. Kriteria peningkatan hasil belajar diperoleh dari nilai sikap, keterampilan, dan pengetahuan.

Abstract

The internalization of character education in science learning through a variety of learning media has been researched recently, one of which is through the photonovela media which is the medium of insertion of character values in learning material. The focus of this research is; 1) developing photonovela learning media with character education on work material and energy, 2) knowing photonovela media feasibility as a supplement to physics learning with character education on work material and energy 3) knowing the response of students to photonovela media with character education in an energy material. This research is a Research and Development study adopted the development of Borg and Gall with the subject of junior high school students. The research instruments used were questionnaires by material experts, media experts, and junior high school physics teachers and questionnaires for students' responses in the three schools. The results of the assessment by material experts obtained a percentage of 85%, the assessment of media experts was 90%, and the assessment of junior high school teachers was 84.16%, while the response of students in three junior high schools was 87.6%, 94%, and 93.6%. In conclusion, this study produced a product in the form of appropriate photonovela media as a supplement to physics learning with character education on business material and energy

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian di daerah Bantul dan sekitarnya dengan menggunakan metode Seismik Refraksi. Tujuan dari penelitian seismik refraksi ini yaitu untuk mengetahui besarnya kecepatan perambatan gelombang lapisan batuan di bawah permukaan pada daerah penelitian. Metode refraksi pada dasarnya memanfaatkan fenomena atau gejala penjalaran gelombang yang terbiaskan pada bidang batas.Kecepatan gelombang seismik pada lapisan pertama dari hasil pengolahan metode ABC dengan range 399 m/s – 1200 m/s yang di indikasikan sebagai lapisan aluvial (soil). Pada lapisan kedua, di peroleh kecepatan gelombang refraksi pada bidang refraktor dengan renge 547 m/s – 2881 m/s yang diindikasikan sebagai batu pasir tuffan.Kata kunci: seismik refraksi, metode ABC

Abstract

Aspek pedagogi sangat berpengaruh terhadap pengembangan materi (content development) dan pembelajaran (learning) dengan memperhatikan teknik dan behavior interaksi antara dosen (lecturer) dan mahasiswa (students). Di sisi lain aspek teknologi berpengaruh terhadap pengembangan materi yang dinamis dan rich multimedia, serta menyediakan fiturfitur (features) komponen sistem e-learning. Mengintegrasikan kedua aspek tersebut dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengembangan materi yang didukung oleh system e-learning agarproses belajar-mengajar menjadi optimal. Subjective Analysis atas pengintegrasian kedua aspek tersebut dalam sistem e-learning yang digunakan-SCELE, menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan pembelajaran online dapat menghadirkan suasana sebagaimana pembelajarankonvensional.Kata kunci: pedagogi, teknologi, e-learning, SCELE

Abstract

Distribusi Maxwell-Boltzmann adalah salah satu dari tiga distribusi partikel yang dikenal pada sistem partikel. Distribusi Maxwell-Boltzmann, masih dalam kategori pada sistem partikel klasik, dimana partikel-partikel didalamnya masih dapat terbedakan.Salah satu penerapan distribusi Maxwell-Boltzmann yang ada disekitar kita adalah distribusi partikel pada tabung gas rumahan baik yang 3 kg maupun 12 kg. Dengan  memahami distribusi Maxwell-Boltzmann, kita dapat mengetahui bagaimana kecepatan molekular yang terjadi pada tabung gas.Pada tulisan ini dipaparkan akan dipaparkan aplikasi distribusi Maxwell-Boltmanndalam menentukan kecepatan molekular, visualisasi ruang kecepatan, kecepatan gas dalam tabung gas, dan juga fenomena ledakan tabung gas.Kata Kunci: Distribusi Maxwell Boltzman, Kecepatan molekular, Tabung gas
