Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze factors that directly and indirectly affecting the employee performance of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). There were 150 respondents involved in this research taken by with a sample pulling technique using the proportional random sampling. This research methodology used descriptive analysis and SEM analysis with PLS methods. The results showed that individual factors, psychological factors and organizational factors directly affect the performance of the administration staff. Individual psychological factors and organizational factors also influence indirectly to the performance of the administration staff through psychological factors. Organizational factor is the dominant factor affecting the performance of administration staff of IPB.Keywords: individual factors, psychological factors, organizational factors, the performance of employees, partial least square (PLS).ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kinerja tenaga kependidikan di Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung serta menganalisis faktor dominan yang berpengaruh. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 150 orang dengan teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan proportional random sampling. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan metode Partial Least Square (PLS). Variabel laten pada penelitian ini adalah faktor individu, faktor psikologi, faktor organisasi dan kinerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor individu, faktor psikologi dan faktor organisasi berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap kinerja tenaga kependidikan di IPB. Faktor individu, psikologi, dan organisasi juga berpengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap kinerja tenaga kependidikan melalui faktor psikologi. Faktor organisasi merupakan faktor dominan yang berpengaruh terhadap kinerja tenaga kependidikan di IPB.Kata kunci : faktor individu, faktor psikologi, faktor organisasi, kinerja pegawai, partial least square (PLS).

Abstract

The aims of the research were to analyze cash flow and compare tuition income in a State University with Legal Entity of “XYZ” for its first year TPB students (the First Common Year) and of the first year until the fourth year before and after implementation of the single tuition fee system and formulate the management policies for the tuition income after the single tuition fee system. Analysis of cash flows consisted of cash ratio, quick ratio and current ratio. Paired t-test was used to analyze differences between single tuition fee income and non single tuition fee income. Based on the cash flow analysis, it is found that the University of “XYZ” has a liquid financial condition. The significant difference is, moreover, detected from the paired t-test analysis between single and non single tuition fee of total income from the first year student tuition. However, there is no difference detected when the analysis was conducted for total income from all four year tuitions. Management policies tuition income after the single tuition fee system payment delays should be minimized so that tuition fee funds can be completely collected. The allocation of fees to the faculty/department was originally based on the BPMP, and BPMK uses a tariff system so that cost per subject does not necessarily correspond with the needs. This is not in accordance with the single tuition fee system that is based on the unit cost. This means that the cost of the course is based on real needs, not based on the rates set.Keywords: cash flow analysis, state university with legal entity, single tuition feeABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis arus kas, mengkaji perbedaan penerimaan SPP S1 Reguler satu tahun pertama bagi mahasiswa TPB dan tahun pertama sampai tahun ke empat sebelum dan sesudah kebijakan UKT di PTN Badan Hukum “XYZ. Selanjutnmya, merumuskan kebijakan pengelolaan SPP S1 reguler sesudah UKT. Analisis arus kas terdiri dari rasio kas, rasio cepat, dan rasio lancar. Analisis perbedaan penerimaan SPP S1 sebelum dan sesudah kebijakan UKT menggunakan uji t sampel berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan analisis rasio arus kas PTN Badan Hukum “XYZ” memiliki rasio kas yang likuid. Hasil analisis uji t sampel berpasangan menunjukkan bahwa total penerimaan SPP S1 satu tahun pertama (TPB) sebelum dan sesudah UKT berbeda nyata sedangkan total penerimaan SPP S1 dari tahun pertama hingga tahun ke empat sebelum dan sesudah UKT tidak berbeda nyata. Kebijakan pengelolaan SPP S1 reguler sesudah UKT sebaiknya penundaan pembayaran SPP diminimalisir agar dana SPP dapat terkumpul seutuhnya. Alokasi SPP ke fakultas/departemen semula berdasarkan BPMP dan BPMK menggunakan sistem tarif, sehingga biaya per mata kuliah belum tentu sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Hal ini tidak sesuai dengan sistem UKT yang didasarkan pada unit cost. Artinya, biaya mata kuliah didasarkan kepada kebutuhan riilnya, bukan berdasarkan tarif yang ditetapkan.Kata kunci: analisis arus kas, perguruan tinggi negeri badan hukum, uang kuliah tunggal

Abstract

After its establishment, PT. Imago Kreasi Komunika had experienced highly rapid growth from year to year; however, in 2013 the company suffered its losses. This condition was successfully overcome by the company by gaining its profit in 2014. Due to this condition, the company has been worried so that it decided to formulate of appropriate strategies to be able to grow and compete with other advertising companies. This study aimed to evaluate the vision and mission and analyze the internal and external factors of the company to formulate an appropriate strategy formulation for PT. Imago Kreasi Komunika. The research was conducted by case study approach the company. The method of analysis used was to evaluate the companys vision and mission and stakeholder expectations. To analyze the internal factors, the Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) matrix, External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS), and Strategy Factor Analysis Summary (SFAS) were used. The research was conducted through non-probability sampling approach with purposive sampling technique by selecting respondents consisting of seven internal experts and three external experts. The results showed that PT. Imago Kreasi Komunika has a Unique Selling Point which is not owned by other advertising companies that is final artwork packaging design. This Unique Selling Point can be the key to develop the company and compete with other advertising companies in Indonesia.Keywords: strategy formulation, advertising company, EFAS, IFAS, SFASABSTRAKSejak berdiri PT.Imago Kreasi Komunika mengalami perkembangan sangat pesat dari tahun ke tahun, namun ditahun 2013 perusahaan mengalami kerugian. Kondisi ini berhasil diatasi oleh perusahaan dengan kembali mendapatkan profit di tahun 2014. Keadaan seperti ini mengkhawatirkan perusahaan sehingga perusahaan memutuskan perlunya sebuah formulasi strategi yang tepat untuk dapat berkembang dan bersaing dengan perusahaan iklan lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi visi dan misi , menganalisis faktor internal dan eksternal perusahaan untuk menyusun sebuah formulasi strategi yang tepat bagi PT.Imago Kreasi Komunika. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan studi kasus PT.Imago Kreasi Komunika. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan evaluasi visi dan misi perusahaan serta harapan-harapan stakeholder. Untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor internal digunakan matriks Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS), External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS), dan Strategy Factor Analysis Summary (SFAS). Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan non probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan memilih responden yang terdiri dari tujuh pakar internal dan tiga pakar eksternal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PT. Imago Kreasi Komunika memiliki Unique Selling Point yang tidak dimiliki oleh perusahaan iklan lain, yaitu final artwork packaging design. Unique Selling Point ini dapat dijadikan kunci untuk mengembangkan perusahaan dan bersaing dengan perusahaan iklan lain di Indonesia.Kata kunci: formulasi strategi, perusahaan iklan, EFAS, IFAS, SFAS

Abstract

This research attempted to audit the domain of planning and implementation of PT BRL Information System (IS) through the determination of Critical Success Factor (CSF), Key Goal Indicator (KGI), Key Performance Indicator (KPI), to measure maturity level and recommend findings and opportunities to the management for the evaluation and improvement in the maturity level of the Information System of PT BRL using the COBIT framework. From the results of this study, the desired direction of PT BRL management can be identified and a number of recommendations can be formulated to realize the plan. IT governance is an important concept that develops in IT companies and acts as a benchmark for measuring the maturity level of IT organizations (Ayat et al., 2011). Overall, the process of planning and implementation of Information System (IS) in PT BRL has followed the rules according to the COBIT framework and its Maturity Level is at the level of 3 –defined where work procedures have been standardized, documented and communicated through the training process. It has also been mandated that this procedure shall be complied with; however, there is still a deviation of procedures that have not been accommodated in their implementation. There are already standardized and well documented procedures as well as formal training to communicate the procedures and policies set up. Nevertheless, the implementation stage still depends on the individuals whether they are willing to carry out the specified procedure or not. The procedures are still limited to the formalization of the existing practices.Keywords: Auditing, COBIT, CSF, KPI, KGIABSTRAKPenelitian ini berusaha melakukan audit pada domain perencanaan dan implementasi Sistem Informasi (SI) PT BRL melalui penentuan Critical Success Factor (CSF), Key Goal Indicator (KGI), Key Performance Indicator (KPI), mengukur maturity level serta merekomendasikan temuan serta peluang kepada pihak manajemen dalam rangka evaluasi dan peningkatan tingkat kematangan Sistem Informasi (SI) PT BRL menggunakan kerangka kerja COBIT. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui arah yang diinginkan manajemen PT BRL serta dapat disusun beberapa rekomendasi untuk dapat mewujudkannya. Tata kelola TI adalah konsep penting yang berkembang di perusahaan TI dan bertindak sebagai patokan untuk mengukur kematangan organisasi TI (Ayat et al. 2011). Secara keseluruhan proses perencanaan dan implementasi Sistem Informasi (SI) di PT BRL sudah mengikuti kaidah-kaidah sesuai dengan kerangka kerja COBIT dan Maturity Level-nya berada pada level: 3 – Defined dimana prosedur kerja telah distandarisasi dan didokumentasikan serta dikomunikasikan melalui proses pelatihan. Telah dimandatkan pula bahwa prosedur ini wajib dipatuhi, namun bagaimanapun juga masih ada deviasi prosedur dalam pelaksanaannya yang belum diakomodasi. Sudah ada prosedur yang memiliki standar dan didokumentasikan dengan baik, sudah ada pelatihan formal untuk mengkomunikasikan prosedur dan kebijakan yang dibuat. Namun pada tahap implementasinya masih tergantung pada individu apakah mau melakukan prosedur yang ditetapkan atau tidak. Prosedur yang dibuat masih terbatas pada bentuk formalisasi dari praktik yang ada.Kata kunci: Audit, COBIT, CSF, KPI, KGI

Abstract

The aims of this study were to clarify the impact of recruitment on selection, impact of the recruitment and on performance, and impact of selection on the employee performance at INALUM. The approach used in this research was descriptive, and data were processed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. There were 105 samples in this study coming from the company. These results indicate that the recruitment has an impact on selection, selection affects the performance, and recruitment directly influences the performance. Abstract

Bank XYZ, one of the state-owned banks in Indonesia has been implementing a web-based electronic office system, namely DiO (Digital Office System), since 2014. DiO provides a number of office automate facilities, such as office administration/management, word processing, and communication/mailing system. This research aims to analyze the most affecting factor that underlies the acceptance and usage of DiO by the employees (respondents) using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model approach. The study was conducted by using online survey involving employees of Bank XYZ. 380 samples were collected by using the judgment sampling method. Structural Equation Model (SEM) was applied to analyze the data collected from the respondents. The result shows that the employees’ use behavior of DiO was significantly influenced by the behavioral intention to use and facility condition. Furthermore, the employees’ behavioral intention to use DiO system is significantly influenced by performance expectancy; on the contrary, effort expectancy and social influence have no effect.Keywords: e-office, DiO System, UTAUT model, behavioral intention to use, use behavior, SEMABSTRAKBank XYZ, salah satu bank milik pemerintah yang telah menerapkan sistem elektronik office, disebut DiO (Digital Office System) sejak tahun 2014. Aplikasi DiO mengakomodir beberapa fasilitas otomasi dalam bentuk pengelolaan administrasi perkantoran, pengolahan kata dan komunikasi/pengiriman surat menyurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku penggunaan DiO oleh karyawan Bank XYZ dengan pendekatan model the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Penelitian telah dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan karyawan Bank XYZ sebagai responden. Sampel sebanyak 380 dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode judgement sampling. Data dianalisis dengan Structural Equation Model(SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perilaku penggunaan DiO secara aktual (use behavior) dari karyawan Bank XYZ secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh behavioral intention to use dan fasilitas pendukung. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of the adaptability of organizational culture on employee commitment to the organization of PT Krakatau Steel Tbk and analyze the influence of motivation on employee commitment to the company. The 161 respondents in this study were obtained by the census research method, and they are full-time employees who are placed at the financial directorate. This research methods used were descriptive analysis and structural equation modeling equation modeling (SEM) by the method of partial least square (PLS). Latent variables in this study are the adaptability of the organizational culture, motivation and organizational commitment. Abstract

The objectives of this study were to determine the strategic factors of the internal and external environments, analyze alternative strategies, to develop strategic targets and strategic maps, set key performance indicator (KPI), and determine the weight of each balanced scorecard perspective (BSC), and weight of each KPI. The research methods used were SWOT and BSC analysis. The business environment identification conducted at Elang Group resulted in eight internal factors and five external factors that influence the companys strategy to survive and to become more competitive. Following this, the process of SWOT analysis was carried out. There are four alternative strategies that can be implemented by Elang Group in improving its performance. The result of SWOT analysis was then translated into 15 strategic targets that form a causal relationship. The design of key performance indicators (KPI) determined 25 KPI divided into four Balanced Scorecard perspectives. In the financial perspective, the highest average KPI weight for return on investment (ROI) is 41,4 percent.Keywords: balance scorecard, SWOT, key performance indicators, property, Elang groupABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menetapkan faktor–faktor strategis dari lingkungan internal dan eksternal; menganalisis alternatif strategi; menyusun sasaran strategis dan peta strategis; menetapkan key performance indicator (KPI); dan menetapkan bobot dari masing-masing perspektif balanced Scorecard (BSC), dan bobot dari masing-masing KPI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis SWOT dan BSC. Hasil identifikasi lingkungan bisnis yang dilakukan di Elang Group terdapat delapan faktor internal di perusahaan, dan lima faktor external perusahaan yang berpengaruh terhadap strategi perusahaan untuk dapat bertahan dan semakin kompetitif. Dari hasil identifikasi kemudian dilakukan proses analisis SWOT. Terdapat empat alternatif strategi yang dapat dilakukan oleh Elang Group dalam meningkatkan kinerjanya. Hasil dari analisis SWOT, kemudian dijabarkan kedalam sasaran-sasaran strategis yang membentuk hubungan sebab akibat. Terdapat 15 sasaran strategis (SS). Perancangan key performance indicators (KPI) ditetapkan KPI sebanyak 25 KPI yang terbagi dalam empat perspektif Balanced Scorecard. Pada perspektif finansial didapatkan bobot rata-rata KPI tertinggi untuk return on investment (ROI) sebesar 41,4 persen.Kata kunci: Balance Scorecard, SWOT, key performance indicators, property, Elang group

Abstract

Strategic planning requires an organization in the face of todays business competition and a more complex future. Likewise, Mineral Gas Station also requires this strategic planning as a newly formed business unit of 2015. Therefore, the company analyzed its internal and external factors as well as a future review of the mineral service industry to stay afloat, grow and develop. The objectives of this study were to identify the internal performance and core competencies of Mineral Gas Station, to identify the external macro environment condition and external micro intensity of mineral service industry competition, to map the current position of the company, to recommend appropriate business strategy in facing competition pressure, and to develop the objectives and program of the company. This research used descriptive and quantitative analysis methods with a purposive sampling technique. The results show that the position of Mineral Gas Station on the intensity of mineral service competition is moderate and is in quadrant of grow and build. Therefore, the appropriate strategy is intensive strategy (market penetration, market development and product development). Mineral Gas Station require to conduct customer satisfaction surveys related to customer perspectives which becomes the most important strategic factor with a focus on customer complaint factor. Further research is needed by involving all external parties so that the results will be more independent.Keywords: mineral services, strategic planning, competition, mineral gas station, SucofindoABSTRAKPerencanaan strategik dibutuhkan organisasi dalam menghadapi persaingan bisnis saat ini dan masa depan yang semakin komplek. Demikian juga yang dibutuhkan SBU Mineral sebagai unit bisnis yang baru terbentuk 2015, dengan menganalisis faktor internal dan ekternal perusahaan serta tinjauan masa depan industri jasa mineral untuk tetap bertahan, tumbuh dan berkembang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kinerja internal dan kompetensi inti SBU Mineral, mengidentifikasi kondisi lingkungan eksternal makro dan eksternal mikro intensitas persaingan industri jasa mineral, memetakan posisi SBU Mineral saat ini dan merekomendasikan strategi bisnis yang tepat dalam menghadapi tekanan persaingan serta menyusun tujuan dan program SBU Mineral. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa posisi SBU Mineral pada intensitas persaingan jasa mineral tingkat sedang serta berada pada kuadran tumbuh dan membangun. Oleh sebab itu, strategi yang tepat adalah stretegi intensif (penetrasi pasar, pengembangan pasar dan pengembangan produk). SBU Mineral perlu melakukan survei kepuasaan pelanggan terkait dengan perspektif pelanggan yang menjadi faktor strategis paling penting dengan fokus pada faktor keluhan pelanggan. Diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan melibatkan semua responden dari pihak eksternal sehingga hasil yang diperoleh akan lebih independen.Kata kunci: jasa mineral, perencanaan strategik, persaingan, SBU mineral, Sucofindo

Abstract

The level of knowledge, skills and motivation of the Keminfo employees in improving their performance can affect the organizations ability to improve productivity and this is associated with the assessment of Government Agencies Performance Accountability Report (LAKIP) by the Ministry of Administrative Reform (minister). The objectives of this research were to identify, understand and analyze the effect of training and motivation on the employee performance and organization performance of Keminfo. This research was an explanatory study. The latent variables were training and motivation, while the observed variables were employee performance and organizational performance. The data collection technique was by interviews, and the researchers also gathered information through questionnaires using the Likert scale. The researchers tested the reliability of the data obtained and then used the descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Model (SEM). From the results of data analysis, it can be seen that training variable significantly has positive effect on employee performance but a negative effect on the performance organization. Motivation variable has negative effect on employee performance but a positive one on organizational performance, Training variable has a positive effect on the motivation and performance of employees, and it also significantly affects the overall performance of the organization.Keywords: education and training, employee performance, motivation, organizational performance, SEMABSTRAKTinggi rendahnya pengetahuan, keterampilan dan motivasi kerja karyawan Keminfo dalam meningkatkan kinerja karyawannya serta dapat memengaruhi kemampuan organisasi dalam meningkatkan produktivitasnya dan hal ini berhubungan dengan penilaian Laporan Akuntabilitas Kinerja Instansi Pemerintah (LAKIP) oleh Kementrian Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara (Menpan). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui dan memahami serta menganalisis pengaruh dari pelatihan dan motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan dan kinerja organisasi Keminfo. Penelitian ini bersifat konfirmatory. Variabel latennnya adalah pelatihan dan motivasi, sedangkan untuk variabel teramatinya adalah kinerja karyawan dan kinerja organisasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan interview, peneliti juga menghimpun informasi melalui kuesioner yang mengunakan skala Likert. Peneliti melakukan uji reliabilitas terhadap data yang diperoleh dan selanjutnya menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis Structural Equation Model (SEM). Dari hasil analisis data dapat diketahui variabel pelatihan secara signifikan berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan akan tetapi berpengaruh negative terhadap kinerja organisasi.Untuk variabel motivasi berpengaruh negative terhadap kinerja karyawan akan tetapi berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja organisasi, Sedangkan untuk variabel pelatihan berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi serta kinerja karyawan juga signifikan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja organisasi secara keseluruhan.Kata kunci: kinerja karyawan, kinerja organisasi, motivasi, pelatihan, SEM
