Abstract

Main topic of this reseach is planning instalation system of road lighting and power supply on long main bridge between islands in Indonesia, with object of interest on Suramadu Bridge. In order to guarantee safety and comfortably for Suramadu Brigde user, design of lighting system has to standart wich recommended by CIE (Commission International on Illumination). This research would like to take sample are: different kind of lamp, armature, and lighting equipment which produced by PT. Philips Indonesia. Final result of this research conclude that road lighting lamp which comfortable on Suramadu Bridge is high pressure lighting orhighpressure sodium (SON) SON-TP type. Beside that,armature which comfor­ tably used on Suramadu Bridge is Velocity SGP 338 type.According with CIE recommenda­ tion, installing point pattern of lighting on Suramadu Bridge using Opposite System with lamp capacity 400 W or Opposite and Twin Central System with lamp capacity 250 W. Installing of road lighting is recommeded to use duct cable, because its installingfaster than the others, have small failure risk, and easy on planning, operating, commisioning, and expanding on next time. Electrical distribution lines should use radial type 20 kV middle voltage by using sub feeder (transformer) on right and left side of bridge to suppl y road lighting power on Suramadu Bridge. Manual analysis results voltage drop equal as 0,00991Voltatau 0,05 %.If using ETAP Software, this system results voltage drop equal as 0,011Volt atau 0,05503 %. Finally electrical power suppl y system on Suramadu Bridge have approved with voltage drop requirements according with PLN recommends equal as 5%.

Abstract

The resistivity method is well used to detecting of existence leakage of river wall. Based on this condition, has been conducted research that correlated with the detecting of leakage of river wall togroundwater. This research was conduct at Gebang River, by using Wenner configuration. Basic Principe of this method, the electrics current (I) was inject into rivers wall through twopotential electrodes. Space of potential electrode used by 10 cm, 20 cm, 30 cm, 40 cm, 50 cm, 60 cm, 70 cm, and 80 cm. Acquisition data presented by electrical potential (V) and electrical current (I). Finall y, found that gained resistivity value that indicated of leakage lowest than before leakage existence.

Abstract

The objective of this research is tofind out the result of red pepper (Capsicum annum L.) grown monoculture and intercropping with legume in the early wet season. This research is conducted in Gili Timur sub-district of Kamal Bangkalan, with type of land Grumusol. This research is conducted in December 2003 up to March 2004. Design used in this research is complete random design (RAL). The treatment of this research consists of cropping red pepper grown monoculture and intercropping with legume in the early wet season. The findings showed that: 1) red pepper grown monoculture bloomingfaster and richer inflowers than intercropping, and the difference is significance, 2) number offruits grown monoculture was not significantl y different than grown intercropping, 3) percentage offlowers tofruits grown monoculture was smaller than intercropping, 4) red pepper grown monoculture produced fruits at average o/ 151.23 g, while grown intercropping produced fruits at average of 148.54 g.

Abstract

Watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris, Schard) is a seasonal fruit playing an important role in economic improvement of a household and a nation as well. An effort to cultivate watermelon greatly supports the improvement offarmers' standard of living. Its Physical appearance and itsflesh color are greatly attractive. It has various stripped shape (elips, round and oval) and has highly enough nutrition.The aims of this stud y were to discover diploid watermelon varieties used as good polinator and has more strengths than both of its parents. This stud y applied Randomized Block Design with two replications treating nine (9) seeded watermelon and two (2) triploid verities. Thevarieties used as male parents were diploid variety (Pl), Diana Bangkok Dragon (P2), China Dragon (P3), Black sweet (P4), Golden Fresh (PS), Hitam manis (p6 ), Grand Master (pl), TM Tiger (PB), and Red Super Dragon (P9). Pretty Orchid (V1) and Champion (V2) were used asfemale parents.The results of this stud y showed that different polinators had different influences in determining the agronomic possibility of bearing fruit, sugar content,fruit length,fruit diameter except harvesting age and fruit weight. The best agronomic properties resulted from well crossing were shown byfruit diameter and sugar content. Withinvariety-crossing of all polinator with thefemale Pretty Orchid (V1) showed good results except the polinator Hitam Manis (p6 ). The greatest fruit diameter resulted from polinator Grand Master (Pl) was 22.59 cm dan the smallest resulted from Hitam Manis polinator (P6) was 20.20 cm

Abstract

The research aims to know the influence of the differences of seed old on growth and yield of three local Chinese mustard (Brassica juncea l.), e.g. Malang, Sidoarjo and Surabaya. The treatments were arranged in randomized block design with three replication.Theresults show that the differences of seed old has significant influence on thegrowth and yield : plant length, leaf number, leaf area, wet weight and dry weight of the plants .. The 25 days of seed old shows the best influence. The influence of three genotipa on the studied parameter is no significant. The differences of seed old interact well with the application of Chinese mustard only on dry weigth of plant.

Abstract

This research was done on April 2007 until ]uni 2007, with study area at 8 kecamatan in Kabupaten Sidoarjo, for the purpose of analysing water quality condition supporting tambak activities and to clasify tambak, river and beach water based onparameter used. A Geographical Information System (GIS) was used toanalize water quality parameters using Arclnfo and Arc Viewsoftware. Dissolved oxygen, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, orthophosphate, unionised hydrogen acid, temperature, pH and salinity was measured. There was an indication of unionised hydrogen acid pollution found at tambak sampling area (0,062 - 6,059 ppm) and also at the river and beach (0,613 - 7,796 ppm). High eutrofication of orthophos phate exist in all of study areas (tambak:0,968 - 3.065, river and beach: 0,968 - 1,936 ppm) while only some study areas being polluted by ammonia (0,113 -0,159 ppm). Pond's salinity and temperature also range beyond the normal valuefor tambak activities. The classification result for tambak in Kabupaten Sidoarjo is 2,3 and 4 (lightly polluted, moderately polluted and highly polluted ) and for the river and beach all are included into highly polluted.

Abstract

The research to investigate existence and direction of underground pipe has been done. Thepipe has 10 cm deep on the sand, and it determines the potential distribution by using 10 cm grid on 140 x 280 cm size ·of grid. Finally, existence and direction of underground pipe was identified that indicated with highest potential anomaly between surrounding.

Territorial Madura consist of upstate territorial water related toJava Sea and territorial water part of south related to Strait Madura. This Research toget information aboutfishery characteristic catch ingood Madura of north region and or south by using survey method. Result of wide research north territorial water of Tired Madura 61,56 % wide territorial water of Province Jatim while tired Strait Madura 18J3%.Density north regional Fisherman OJ6 people/km 2 and south 2 3J3 people/km 2 • Density north regional Armada arrest 0,18 unit/km2 and south 0,89 unit/ km2• north regional Fisherman productivity 11,9 kg/ha/th and south 58,5 kg/ha/th. acceptance north regional Fisherman and south same that is Rp11.556.403 I people/ year. Fisherman Madura most still use pocket edition arrest ship,reaching 97,8%.calculation Fisibilitas arrestfor the appliance of catch seine purse, payang, trammel net,fishing rod and laying gill net while dogol improper. Exploiting fish status in north territorial water and Madura strait for the fishery of pelagis and demersal all experiencing offishing over.

Abstract

Welding is one of the manufacturing process used tomake the connection of components Imetal parts intendedfor assembly. There aremanyfactors toconsider inplanning a welding connection, including costfactors, power and ease of workmanship in the process. Cross­ sectional area smaller number of wires that require fewer and thus more economical. For that a decision tool that has the capability of knowledge (knowledge base) obtained from the domain expertise required to consider alternativeforms of alternataf weld connection on the basis of three criteria: minimum cross-sectional area. Destination of the study in this research is to develop a model of knowledge-based software knowledge (knowledge-based systems)welding the connection type selection criteria: cross-sectional area to minimize welding connection, and ease of manufacture hem welding, using a computerprogram capabilities that could save the base knowledge (knowledge base). The acquisition of knowledge of welding connection type domain expertise, data preparation section area calculation, and the stage reprsentasi knowledge to build a knowledge base systems. Use of software knowledge-based systems for selection of welding plate connection provides time-saving convenience and selection of welding connection as part of the manufacturing process planning

Abstract

The research aims to investigate the changes of the quality of several clones of sweet pota fo planted in two sites. The clone of 1-57,IR, CN 1332-2, 73-6, 73-6/l,and 73-6,12 was planted at Telang, Bangkalan located 5 m above sea level and at Batu, Malang located 600 m above sea level. Theharvestfrom two sites above was then·storaged in a room inMalang whithout temperature arrangementfor 60 days. The treatments were arranged ina complete randomize with three replications. ·Results showed that clone IRfrom Malang had longer storaged life compared to clone 1-57, CN 1332-2, 73-6, 73-6/l, and 73-6,1.2. It was characterized by the changes of water contentfrom 0,96% to 3 % and the changes in respiration ratefrom 5,8% to 83,1%. Clone 73-6,l.2from Bangkalan had better storage life compared to clone 1-57, IR, CN 1332-2, 73- 6,and 73-6/l. Also this clone had starch contentfrom 10,6% to 21,3% .It can be concluded that clone IR is suitable for upland areas while clone 73-6,1.2 is suitable for lowland area. Moreover, toexamine consumer preference to the storaged tuber, an organoleptic test should beemployed.
