Abstract

Pharmaceutical services at the hospital are an integral part of the hospitals service system. The quality of the pharmacy service affects the hospitals performance as a service company. Pharmacy Installation of Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital based on data from Public Relation and Public Complaint Installation of Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital get complaint report on pharmacy service as many as 28 complaint reports in 2015 and 42 complaint reports in 2016. A decrease in the quality of care is indicated by the decrease in the number of in-patients in the period of 2013-2015 reaching an average of 2.89%, while the level of complaints on the quality of in-patient pharmacy service remains high with 31 complaints by years. This study aims to analyze the effect of hospital pharmacy service quality on patient satisfaction at pharmacy depo Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital. The measurements of all constructs and research indicators used questionnaires distributed to 320 in-patients as respondents. Path analysis used with software application of SPSS 17 to analyze the data. The result concluded that service quality consisting of service speed, attitude, and empathy of officer, drug availability, pharmacy depot location, and drug information simultaneously, influence on patients satisfaction with a contribution of 74.10%. However, the partial attitude and empathy of the officers have no effect on the satisfaction of patients. While the provision of drug information is the most dominant factor of service quality in affecting patient satisfaction at pharmacy depo Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital.

Abstract

The problems occurred at the Pelalawan Population and Civil Registration Service are wasteful in the time of service for population administration. Therefore, this study aims to make improvements in reducing waste of service time and provide recommendations for managing the administrative service process, thus, it can be used as a reference in the process of improving government service organizations. The method used is the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) method, by removing unproductive process steps, which focus on measurements, and applying technology to improve the quality of the target towards Six-Sigma. The results obtained by following the DMAIC process are the smallest timeliness in providing services with a gap value=(-1,196), σ=1,62; the ease of the service procedure with the gap value=(-0,917), σ=1,76; the competence of the officers in the service with the gap value=(-0,897), σ=1,76; and written and electronic information resources that are needed by the gap value=(-0,876), σ=1,78. The study proposes improvements by creating digital document archive settings, conducting the performance measurements using VSM map, building the queue system, creating a flow of services, designing a  one door services, and improving the quality of resources by training the officers.

Abstract

PT APCB is an electronics company that produces electronic device components called Narrow Shaft. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the maintenance activity in a pre-turning machine by measuring the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) level. The OEE level is obtained based on the Availability, Performance, and Quality Rate of the pre-turning machine maintenance activities. In addition, the purpose of this study is to identify the causes of the ineffectiveness of pre-turning machine maintenance activities and provide improvement suggestions for maintenance effectiveness at PT APCB. Based on the results of the calculation of the OEE value it is known that the PT APCB company still has not reached the world standard of 85%. This shows that the company still has to improve maintenance activities in the pre-turning process. The calculation of OEE value shows that the lowest OEE level in February 2016 was 48.31%, while the highest OEE level in September 2016 was 83.23%. The low performance of the pre-turning machine process was due to the ineffectiveness of maintenance activities which were caused by 14 factors. The primary causal factor with the highest value is the bar feeder problem with the highest request frequency value of 250.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the correlation of service quality to customer satisfaction, loyalty, and deployment of communication using Word of Mouth (WOM). The research was conducted at Character-based School in Jakarta, involving 84 parents as respondents. A purposive sampling method was applied. The data were collected through a survey questionnaire. The measurement was using a four-scale Likert. The analysis was supported by SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) which the tool was SmartPLS version 3.0. As results show that there were three significant relationships which between customer loyalty and Word of Mouth (0.691), service quality and customer satisfaction (0.298), also service quality and customer loyalty (0.340). It depicted that loyal customer was more significant than satisfying one. The conclusion of this study pointed out that loyalty played role in improving and maintaining a robust marketing strategy for Character-Based School. The more customer loyalty created the stronger word of mouth throughout customer.

Abstract

Soldier’s activities resulted in too much workload received by the body, especially in the back and waist. These conditions produce a high risk of musculoskeletal disorders especially if conducted continuously. The soldiers must carry a backpack containing supplies during training weighing up to 40 kg on average. All activities are conducted manually until the training is finish. Thus, the purposes of this study are to reduce spinal injury by identifying factors resulting from lifting loads that exceed the limits of the body, calculate the maximum load limit that can be carried by a soldier, and produce artificial exoskeleton as a tool for the Indonesian Armed Forces. The study used anthropometry, biomechanics, and physiological approach in solving the problem. The results show that the safe load can be carried by the soldiers is 30.46 kg. The body parts that feel the complaint are the upper neck, back, shoulder, buttocks. In addition, this study can produce a design of an artificial exoskeleton with the following dimensions: chest thickness 23 cm, chest width 32 cm, back length 52 cm. The soldiers can increase the force load by 9% of the initial weight of the load using this design.

Abstract

TOA Corporation has a factory in Indonesia with name PT TOA Galva Industries producing technology of communication device. This research aims to make improvement towards the workload of the employees in the production of injection plastic part. Problems that arise due to the mental workload of employees affect concentration, performance, achievements, and motivation at work, quality of sleep at home, health, and work accident. This caused by the target measurement and checking of the products of the company are set, the deadline the measurement and checking of products, Division of working time/shift work, irregular work environment factors (noise, temperature, lighting, etc.), and the personal problems brought on when working. Using NASA-TLX (Task Load Index) can be measured the mental workload employees through the phase weighting and rating stage. Early research result obtained values of WWL (weighted workload) of morning shift employees is 76,78, afternoon shift 77,97 and night shift 80,0 results experienced high mental workload. Proposed improvements were made with improved shift work, the application of music therapy and motivation. The evaluation result of the implementation of the improvement suggests the value of WWL (weighted workload) of morning shift employee is 53,34, afternoon shift 54,43, night shift 55,45 result decrease mental workload.

Abstract

Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) is a public company engaged in serving electricity in Indonesia. The company is a state-owned company which has a lot of human resources both from the level of general education up to the highest level of education. The rapid development of industrialization and technological innovation makes the company must be more competitive in facing the increasing of fierce competition in the current era of globalization. This study aims to analyze and prove the influence of organizational culture and work environment on employee performance through job satisfaction as a mediator or as an intervening variable. The study was conducted at PT. PLN (PERSERO) Distribution West Java Area Majalaya. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to 146 employees and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which was run by using AMOS 21.0 software. The results show that the organizational culture and work environment of PLN West Java Distribution Area Majalaya have a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction. Furthermore, the organizational culture, work environment, and job satisfaction of PLN employees have a positive influence on employee performance.

Abstract

PT IB. Sumberdaya Development is one of LPG agent partners of PT Pertamina. This company is assigned to distribute 3 kg LPG. The LPG shipment is carried out from Monday to Saturday. The shipment goes to 66 depots using agent vehicle which are registered in PT Pertamina. From the preliminary study, there were problems which related to the long-distance shipment, and the limitation of transportation and capacity.  In this research, the shipment routes of 3 kg LPG in PT IB is determined. Sumberdaya Development problems consist of the distance of the travel, the time of travel, and optimal transportation cost. Based on Clarke and Wright Savings Matrix algorithm, by considering the vehicle capacity, the distance can be minimized. The point of this algorithm is calculating the saving by measuring the available reduction of distance and time. It is done by linking the existing depots and making a route which is based on the largest saving value of the distance from the agent to the destination depot. Each route is optimized by WIN QSB software by using Branch and Bound method. A program to facilitate the determination of shipment routes by using PHP programming language is designed. The proposed route for the 3kg LPG shipment is 762.35km  with  33.58% saving, and the proposed time is 2929 minutes with 15.27% saving. The shipment schedule is designed from Monday to Saturday day to Saturday with each of 7 routes. This is better than the actual route used by the company.

Abstract

Effectiveness and efficiency can improve the performance of manufacturing companies. Such improvements can be achieved through the application of web-based applications. PT X is one of cement producers in Indonesia and to maintain its competitive advantage, PT X establishes several Process Laboratory responsible for its product quality control activities. One of them is Process Laboratory IV. Process Laboratory IV is still using spreadsheet based information system so that most of the activities and evaluation are still run manually. Some weaknesses are still encountered such as slow information flow rates, minimum levels of information security, and the potential for various forms of fraud. This research was conducted to design more efficient quality control information system through implementation of web based application. The information systems design created by building: (a) Business process diagrams (b) Use case diagrams, (c) Class diagrams, (d) Entity relationship diagrams, and (e) Databases, followed by web-based application design based on the results of information system design. The system design involves four actors with different authority and access levels to minimize information security issues. Through these conditions various forms of fraud can also be minimized. In addition, the system design also improves the information flow efficiency by eliminating the activity of re-input set point data. It can be concluded that the design of information systems with web-based applications have been able to help improve efficiency and minimize the weaknesses of current existing information systems in the PT X Process Laboratory IV.
