JURNAL ANTROPOLOGI: ISU-ISU SOSIAL BUDAYA tampil dengan beberapa perubahan, antara lain, perubahan nama Jurnal yang sebelumnya adalah Jurnal Antropologi. JURNAL ANTROPOLOGI diakui oleh LIPI dengan nomor ISSN: 1410-8356 pada bulan Mei 2007. Perubahan nama jurnal ini tidak mengurangi dari substansi visi dan tujuan penerbitan jurnal tersebut. Perubahan lainnya adalah perubahan warna cover dengan corak dan warna yang seragam dan design yang baru, perubahan penomoran tiap edisi dengan menggunakan jumlah halaman per volume. Hal tersebut dilakukan, karena JURNAL ANTROPOLOGI: ISU-ISU SOSIAL BUDAYA mengharapkan mencapai proses jurnal yang terakreditasi. JURNAL ANTROPOLOGI: ISU-ISU SOSIAL BUDAYA diterbitkan dengan tujuan ikut mengembangkan Ilmu Antropologi Sosial dan Budaya di Indonesia, dengan kemungkinan terbuka dan kontribusi dari berbagai disiplin ilmu dan pendekatan yang bertemu di persimpangan hasil penelitian dan analisis-kritis mengenai isu pembangunan kontemporer. Jurnal ini dikelola dan di bawah naungan Laboratorium Antropologi Jurusan Antropologi FISIP Universitas Andalas. Sumbangan artikel meliputi artikel hasil penelitian, kajian kepustakaan dan ulasan ilmiah lainnya.

Abstract

The air condition in the city of Jambi getting hot. Smog haze occurs almost every year since 1997. On the other hand, attempts to perform the actions that are environmentally friendly as well have been started. Economic and educational level of the woman citizens influence the sensitivity and attitudes towards environmental issues such as air emissions, flooding and waste management. The research underlying this article -about womens attitudes towards the Jambi city’s environment- through qualitative method, find that almost all the informants agree to protect the environment and air, but also almost all of the informants did not agree to pay the levy for air quality improvement. Awareness to protect the environment and the air has started and implanted since kindergarten. Awareness to maintain air quality continues to be done, both by the government, and social units who want a better Jambi city environments.

Abstract

This research is aimed to know the relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination toward students in second year at senior high school state 9 of Padang. Respondents that are used in the research are the students in second year at senior high school state 9 of Padang. The research is conducted to the 66 students in second year and in the academic year of 2008/2009, where the respondents determination is done by random sampling technique. The technique of data collecting is used the Likert scale models. That is the scale of self-efficacy and The Procrastination Assesment Scale-Students (PASS) that is developed by Solomon and Rothblum (1994). The methode for analyzing data that is used for testing hyphotesis in the research is the correlation Product Moment (Pearson). Before conducting hyphotesis test, firts, it must done of using test assumptions by normality and linearity test. The result of data analysis shows efficacy scores are at a moderate scale (60,6%), and also the procrastination academic scores are at a moderate scale (72,73%). From the result of data processing is obtained p = 0,000 < 0,01 with a correlation coefficient -0,574 it means hyphotesis is accepted. The result shows there is a negative and significant relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination toward the students in the second year at senior high school state 9 of Padang, with the effective contribution of 33%. Thus, it can be concluded that if the higher self-efficacy, then the lower the students academic procrastination behavior. Conversely, the lower of the self-efficacy, the higher the students academic procrastination behavior

Abstract

This paper is a reflection of the research in order to exercise anthropological research on the subject Theory, Methods and Practice research at the University of Indonesia. Research with the general theme of campus life and field settings the University of Indonesia, became an interesting experience, especially regarding the crucial issues in contemporary anthropological research, ranging from determining the themes and research plan, to the data collection. How anthropology as a discipline capable of responding to the shifts that occur and require changes to the workings of anthropology, not only change research techniques but also requires the redefinition of the various concepts.

Abstract

This article is the result of research on the role of women fishing households living systems. The contribution of women in household income earned through productive activities that they do. These activities, among them, is the involvement of women in the marketing of the fisheries and involvement in the processing of the fisheries. Small industries in rural apparently has a role in increasing the contribution of women in their household income.  Livelihood strategies undertaken by poor fishermen households consisting of economic strategies and social strategies. Economic strategy by performing a double living patterns, utilization of household labor and migration. While social strategy is done by utilizing the existing ties of kinship. Traditional welfare institutions also have an important role to poor households in meeting their needs. Social capital has an important role in the livelihood strategies of poor households in Nagari Tiku Selatan

Abstract

This is study of how socio-economic change understandings are expressed and juxtaposed in the capitalist economic tourism of the fishing community. Its make impact to custom of matrilineal system, especially practice of “merantau”. This study located in Padang beach area, West Sumatra, Indonesia. In Padang beach area, fishing community just more than less 100 household because they was impact by capitalist economic tourism since 2004 and its number always become less. Abstract

At the time of the earthquake affecting substantial losses due to the damage they cause, usually very high expectations of the people to the government for rehabilitation and reconstruction (rehabilitation and reconstruction) of homes affected. Therefore readiness to undertake the rehabilitation of earthquake remains an important concern by the parties in the response to natural disasters, both government and society.  This study is a qualitative study to describe the experience of the parties in order to direct the rehabilitation of houses affected by the earthquake of 2007 in Tanah Datar, West Sumatra province. The results of this study found the application of the principles of transparency, participation and accountability in the interrelation between the government and society in the process of preparation and implementation of the rehabilitation of earthquake-affected neighborhoods. Open governance practices have proven quite successful even minimize complaints and public protests or other social conflict that impacts are not uncommon in post-disaster management in the region. Experiences of good practice organizing the rehabilitation of houses affected by the earthquake in Tanah Datar this would even be used as a pilot, and learning resources of many parties in implementing the governance of disaster management in the various regions
