Abstract

The teacher is one aspect that is important in advancing education. In the 21st century required the teachers who have competence in accordance with the times. This challenge should be able to be answered by all universities in Indonesia. Therefore we need a study of the problems of learning at a university. This study is a qualitative research, with the aim to get the problems that exist in learning biology in preparing prospective teachers. Results of this study are learning biology at the University of Muhammadiyah Metro has implemented scientific-based learning approach. Students difficulties related to the learning task-based scientific approach. Recommendations of the problems is the need for the development of blended learning, this is based on need assessment get students have facilities that support blended learning based learning.                                       Kata Kunci: pembelajaran, permasalahan, biologi

Abstract

Research purposes are: (1) know the relation between metacognitive ability to the results of study biology.(2) know the relation between motivation learn by study result of the biology.(3) know the relation between ability metacognition and motivation learn by study result of the biology.To research is using the population affordable, namely graders IX MTsN Metro consisting of 4 class each 20 people every grade and thus use 80 students.The as samples to this research 80 students taken at random.The sample collection is done by 20 students for each class so that the sample wholly 80 students. The engineering data analysis will be used to test hypotheses on this research is uses statistics inferential parameters, using a technique of multiple regression analysis (multiple regression). Done, before the testing of hypotheses then done testing normality homogeneity data and analysis of data as a prerequisite.Based on the result analysis of data and discussions can then be taken conclusion as follows: (1) there is a positive connection between the metacognitive ability to produce students study biology. (2) there is a positive connection between students with the motivation to study biology. (3) there is a positive connection between ability metacognitive students and motivation study jointly with the study biology.Kata Kunci: kemampuan metakognitif, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar

Abstract

The target of this research for example developing module study of biology orient cycle learn for the class of event XI Sains semester, later then test eligibility pass/through the expert test, and small group test. This research type is research of development by using the model of Research Development and (D&R) which is the adoption of result research into Sugiono. Following to result of obtained research can be concluded that module which has been developed by there are three phase, that is the phase of exploration, phase recognition of concept, and application phase. Later, then module orient cycle learns from eligibility face, start from aspect eligibility of appearance, item content, mount readability, and story, the level of executing in general enter in category very good.. Kata Kunci: pengembangan, modul pembelajaran biologi, siklus belajar.

Abstract

The objectives of the study as: (1) To determine the feasibility of thedevelop discovery learnig based LKS. (2) To determine the improvement of cognitivelearning outcomes by using discovery learning based LKS. (3) To knowpsychomotor learning outcome by using discovery learning based LKS. This type ofresearch is the development discovery learning based LKS 4-D model ofdevelopment suggested by Thiagarajan, Sammel, and Semmel. The results of theanalysis conducted by expert test material 92.72%, 82.45% expert test design, andtest students legibility by 62.4%. Analysis of students cognitive learning outcome by15%, and increased psychomotor learning outcomes of students by 6.24%. Basedon the results of the discussion regarding the development discovery learning basedLKS can be concluded that the LKS is as eligible as a learning resource for biologyclass materials mushrooms and discovery learning based can improve cognitive andpsychomotor learning outcomes.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), discovery learning

Abstract

Onggok is solid waste of cassava flour that can be use as raw material for duck feed through fermentation process. Analysis of nutrition value such as protein use kjeldahl method, fat use soxhlet method and dietary fiber use gravimetric method have been done on onggok as raw material and fermented duck feed product. In addition, the effectiveness of fermented duck feed product has been tested to the growth as weight gain of duct that had been feeded fermented duck feed product. Based on the analysis of nutritional value can be seen that there is an increase in nutritional value from onggok as raw material in form of protein, fat dan crude fiber. The amount of the nutritional value of protein, fat and crude fiber in a row on fermented duck feed product are 10.55%; 4.55% and 19.19%. The effectiveness of fermented duck feed product to increase the weight gain of duck is 0,3 – 0,4 kg/week. Using fermented duck feed product from onggok can reduce the operational cost by 37,11%. Kata Kunci: fermentasi, onggok, gizi, pakan, bebek

Abstract

Module is designed learning materials systematically based on specific of curriculum and packed in the smallest unit of learning and enable the students to learn dependent certain time. The an of the research: To describe the learning model that has been developed at this time, develop learning module Inquiry-Based Science Biology Matters Interaction between the organism with the environment, describe the inquiry-based module that has been developed, reveal the advantage and disadvantage of learning module that has been developed. The research used plan of research and development.  The research data obtained in the analysis of descriptive percentages. The resulting expert testing design is 84,84%, expert testing material 88,47%. This means the module of science biology was developed is “Good” used in learning. Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a health problem in Indonesia. High and low DHF cases and mortality associated with high and low populations of Aedes aegypti mosquito as a vector. Community efforts in suppressing the vector mosquito populations using chemical pesticides often cause mosquito resistance and residues to the environment. This encourages the study with an inventory of some local plants in Metro City as a potential pesticide plant that does not pollute the environment, biodegradable, selectively on the mosquito vector and safe for humans, as the study early in the development of natural biocontrol environment-friendly and conservation of medicinal plants in Indonesia. Methods This study was conducted in five districts in the city Metro, the Metro Centre, Metro West, East Metro, Metro North, and South Metro. The research was conducted from June to August 2014. Types of data and information gathered in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Inventory as a biopesticide crop of mosquitoes in the city Metro conducted over three months found 24 species of plants, consisting of 13 families with habittus trees, 16 shrubs and herbaceous 8. Abstract

The use of traditional medicine in Indonesia has been going on since thousands of years ago before modern medicine invented and marketed. One impact of the development of science and technology, many people switch from traditional treatment that uses natural ingredients to medicines ready for consumption such as drug tablets, capsules and the like. so that traditional medicines were handed down from ancestors gradually abandoned over time the impact of information on drugs will be lost. So with an inventory of medicinal plants in the tribe Semendo, District Way Tenong West Lampung has done very importantly to be informed as early as possible one of them is the development of teaching materials. Teaching material is any material (whether information, tools and text) are arranged systematically, the figures show full of competencies to be mastered and used learners in the learning process with the aim of planning and review of the implementation of learning. teaching materials indispensable in the learning process because it can help teachers and students.  This type of research is research and development ( R & D). In this study, which will be the object of research is charged ecology textbook traditional medicinal plants. charged ecology textbook traditional medicinal plants contain materials Plant Ecology for students of biology education VII semester. Textbooks charged ecology of medicinal plants in the tribe Semendo, District Way Tenong West Lampung in plant ecology learning appropriate to use well-tested by expert validation of design and materials. Results textbook manufacture of medicinal plants in the tribe Semendo, District Way Tenong West Lampung charged medicinal plant ecology in plant ecology study tested the practicality of biology education through student assessment Muhammadiyah University Metro VII semester of 2016. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is a relationship between blood pressure with human blood glucose in Kebayoran Lama village. This study was Carried out to the residents of RW 03, the which consists of 9 RT in Kebayoran Lama South Village area. the simple random sample was taken (sample random sampling) by taking 30 votes from the citizens of RT 01 to RT 09. The method used is descriptive method qualitative correlation techniques. The independent variable (X) is the blood pressure and the dependent variable (Y) is the concentration of glucose in human blood. The data obtained were first Analyzed with normality test wearing Lilliefors test, then test the correlation coefficient and significance test of correlation coefficients.  From the test results obtained normality for the independent variable correlation coefficient of variables X and Y are calculated by product moment correlation analysis, and obtained r xy = 0379. Next, calculate the coefficient significance by t-student obtained that = 2,168 (= 2:05) so the conclusion is that there is a relationship between blood pressure levels of glucose in human blood. Kata Kunci: tekanan darah, kadar glukosa darah

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to optimize the use of the Student Worksheet Worksheet student develops process-oriented skills, do Design Student Worksheet that can, measure student learning outcomes, do Design Student Worksheet on the subject of the Human Digestive System. For learners, learning must shift from "Notified" to "Actively seek out". The product specifications are expected in this study resulted in the Student Worksheet process-oriented skills that have the right procedures, adherence to learning the which includes initial, core and closing activity. Sheets Readability students a clear and operational notes the existence of multiple Interpretations by students, can measure cognitive learning outcomes. In this study, using research and development is commonly known Research & Development (R & D).
