Abstract

This paper was written with the aim to determine the role of libraries in the development of Institutional Repository (IR) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This is because IR is a unique collection owned by institutionand needs to be maintained and preserved. In addition, IR collections in digital library has also raised the name of the institution,  achieved 10th rank in Indonesia for Webometrics repository in 2012, then rose to the rank 5 in 2013, and increased again to rank 3 by 2014. Role of the library become very important in the development of IR. Activities undertaken by the library is in terms of (1) collecting; (2) managing; (3) preserving; (4) evaluating; and (5) promoting.

Abstract

Factors considered on  the work are  the work environment, hardware, and cooperation between the computer’s users. An  increase on  productivity  is  a  librarian  purpose.  However,  work  in  the  office (library)  can  also  have  an  impact  that  is not  good  for  the  safety  and health librarians. So it is necessary to know how safe and well in the use of work equipment in the library in order to avoid accidents and other health problems. In short, ergonomics  is the study of human behavior related to his job.

Abstract

Library is one of supporting element from institute, which can fullfill user’s information need for teaching learning process especially in postgraduate STAIN Pamekasan. To create optimal and good service in postgraduate library, it can see from user’s perception in service quality in postgraduate STAIN Pamekasan. This research used data collection technic; observation, interview and documentation. Officer quality in giving servive to user visible in copability and attitude from officer it self. Library service also can see from collection of books in library to fullfill user’s need. Supporting tools in building and rooms. To complete some tools, it also need infrastructure to fullfill library needs in service. Infrastructure needed are utensils, it means to support library actinity which unused up such as; bookshelf, table and chair, computer and internet, air conditioner, room’s light or lamp, catalogue and photocopy machine.

Abstract

Reference management software (RMS) is useful application for  researchers,  lecturers  and  students  helping  them  to  compose scientifc paper. This software has  fuctioned to search online scientifc information, to save search results, and to write bibliography, includes making  citation  and  references  automatically,  to  facilitate  to  share references  with  other  users  and  to  sincron  references  web  based  on desktop or mobile phone.This  article  tries  to  introduce  RMS. Using  RMS,  error  on  writing citation  and  references  can  be  avoided,  publishing  of  scientifc works would be increased and more qualifed.

Abstract

Abstract:  The existence of the library indicates information services.  The  service  shows  two  interrelated  variables: the  provider  on  the  one  hand  and  consumers  on  the  other. Because of relation between service provider and customer satisfaction, then the service should be  increased  from time to time. Library services also needs to be improved. Increased library  services must  be  appropriated  by  it’s  responsibility  to support  education,  teaching,  research  and  community service. There is no doubt, that the library plays an important role in  the  process  of  education  and  teaching. The  frst  library becomes  an  intermediary  between  the  users  and  their information needs. Second, the library can be an information provider  on  one  side  and  can be  consulted  for  the users  in their academic activities. Third, the library can be a teacher who teaches the users the skills and strategies in managing, utilizing, and  creating  information. The  role of  the  library likes this, is named empowerment of library services
