Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran in-kuiri dengan metode diskusi kelompok dalam menemukan konsep pembelajaran yang diselengarakan melalui lesson study. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa pen-didikan biologi  angkatan 2011 yang menempuh matakuliah struktur hewan. Imple-mentasi lesson study dilakukan dalam 4 kali siklus di kelas. Data pengamatan pene-muan konsep berupa data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) pada setiap siklus. LKM setiap siklus disajikan dalam bentuk penemuan data gambar. Data kualitatif, yaitu aktivitas mahasiswa diperoleh dari lem-bar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai rata-rata pema-haman konsep mahasiswa adalah sebagai berikut : siklus pertama (I) 60,2% ; Siklus ke- II adalah 63,1% ; Siklus ke-III adalah 74,31% dan Siklus ke-IV adalah 81,65%. Hasil penelitian aktivitas mahasiswa yang diamati adalah aspek kemampuan maha-siswa dalam bekerjasama dalam kelompok, mengemukaan pendapat secara oral dalam kelompok, menganalisis soal, mengambil kesimpulan, perasaan senang dan bergairah dalam kelompok. Keseluruhan aspek aktivitas yang diamatai pada setiap siklus meningkat dan berkriteria tinggi, yaitu dengan nilai rata-rata peningkatan bekerjasama dalam kelompok (76,45%), mengemukaan pendapat secara oral dalam kelompok (43,27%), menganalisis soal bergambar (27,10%), mengambil kesimpulan (23,25%), perasaan senang dan bergairah dalam kelompok (33,83%). Dengan demikian dapat di-simpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri dapat meningkatkan pemahaman kon-sep belajar dan meningkakan aktivitas belajar mahasiswa

Abstract

This study aims to improve conceptual understanding of physics teacher candidates in school physics classes through the application of the generate-an-argument instructional model. Research carried out by using the design of Research and Development which is modified by using a mixed method design. School physics teaching tools developed based on the stages of the generate-an-argument instructional model. The research instrument consisted of a test conceptual understanding, observation sheet and student questionnaire. Subjects were students majoring in physical education at one of the contracting LPTK in Bandung school physics course I semester of odd academic year 2011/2012. The results showed an increase in conceptual understanding in the category of high-grade experimental and control class with the category of being. Activities of lecturer and students in the implementation of the learning accomplished by either category. Abstract

Up to now in learning ecology, especially its practical work, many people still use the guidebook of the practical work, such as recipe which is not optimal in developing the essential skill of laboratory. As a result, the students’ [the candidate of the biology teacher]mastery of the laboratory essential skill is still low. Actually, the practical work of ecology is very interesting because it be carried out in the open air nature. However, this nature laboratory has not yet exploited very well in the activity of ecology practical work. In addition, the conduct of this practical work has not yet been the science project basis in the condition of eco-biological local area.Ecology has the activity aspects of exploration, experiment, and observation. Based on the three aspects, the ecology practical work should be project basis where practical work students  themselves make the design outline of the practical work which they will conduct. In addition, They also solve the problem and produce the products. The students can conduct the research by collecting, organizing, analyzing data and writing the report of their research. The project evaluation should be carried out for preparation, implementation, and result. Therefore, through the practical work of ecology, the indicators of the laboratory essential skills should be well-formulated on every practical work topic which is conducted. These skills are the basic ones as the pre-requirement  of the further skill development, such as some procedures, processes and method which scientist uses when s/he constructs the knowledge and solve problem in scientific work.Keyword :  practice, ecology, project, laboratory essential skills

Abstract

Many multimedia learning arithmetic for elementary students are circulat-ing in the community . Does the arithmetic contains material complete , and correct concepts and processes ? Is using a sound that suits the material , convenient and evocative to learn ? Is the image ( shape , color , proportion , and animation ) in accordance with the material and the character of elementary school students ? It is necessary to know the gauge of multimedia learning arithmetic for elementary students. Survey methods are needed for 30 CDs for elementary students learn arithmetic class I to class VI from various productions . Observation, can determine the gauge multimedia learning arithmetic for elementary students that valid and reliable . Retrieved main indicator to measure the content of components/materials , audio-visual and multimedia learning arithmetic for elementary students.  Contents gauges component/material using nine indicators , five audio component indicators , 10 indicators and visual components . The measurement results showed that the content of the content/material is not yet complete . Needed improvement in the pre-sentation of concepts and processes based on nine indicators . Especially creativity in providing materials , visual motion ( animation ) in simulating the material , and the use of icons are easy and uncomplicated . In terms of audio , there are weaknesses in : 1) the composition of several works of music that already exists (not orsinal) , 2) the relationship of music to visual motion and teaching materials , so that the music only serves as a complement to, 3) color processing sound in music (timbre) are in-teresting and communicative , 4) which is a series of musical composition intact , 5) music that motivates students , 6) attention to the elements of the basic elements of music and instrumentation , 7) arrangements are treated monotonous . Judging from the visual component , there is strength in : 1) the use of vibrant colors , 2) a clear colorful but soft , 3) display an unusual shape , 4) leads to fantastic shape . Very high weakness shown in : 1) visual motion processing elements are monotonous , 2) visual motion processing elements are rigid, 3) visual motion processing elements that do not correspond to the delivery of material flow .

Abstract

Miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh guru tentu akan sangat menggangu pembentukan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran, dan cenderung akan menyebabkan miskonsepsi  pada siswa juga, sehingga keberhasilan siswa dalam capaian belajar juga akan sangat terganggu. Untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi sebaiknya diawali dengan terlebih dahulu menemukan dan mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk miskonsepsi, mencari penyebab terjadinya miskonsepsi, dan memilih metode yang sesuai untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi tersebut. Telah dilakukan penelitian deskriptif yang menggambarkan pemahaman konsep dan miskonsepsi fisika pada guru bidang studi fisika SMA RSBI di Bandar Lampung, dengan menggunakan metode certainty of response index (CRI). Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa dari 9 responden yang mengerjakan item tes sebanyak 28 soal, persentase guru yang mengalami miskonsepsi adalah 28,97%, memiliki pemahaman konsep lemah 2,78%, pemahaman konsep benar 42,86%, yang hanya menebak (keberuntungan) dalam menjawab 5,16%, dan yang lainnya 20,24% tidak menjawab. Secara rinci, pada setiap soal konsep terdapat miskonsepsi guru yang cukup tinggi bahkan ada yang sampai 100%. Miskonsepsi guru tinggi terjadi pada konsep mekanika (gerak vertikal dan gerak parabola), dinamika (gerak rotasi),  usaha dan energi, kesetimbangan, suhu dan kalor, listrik dinamis, gelombang mekanik dan gelombang elektromagnetik, optika geometri, serta fluida statis (hukum Archimedes).Kata Kunci :  Miskonsepsi Fisika, Konsep Fisika, SMA RSBI

Abstract

This study concerns with the development of mathematical process skill of elementary school students. It was conducted as the mathematical process skill of the students was still low. Thus, it needed an approach that was able to develop the mathematical process skill of the students and one of the approaches was Indirect Approach. This study applied classroom action research that involved eight schools and eight undergraduate students of the eight semester.  The learning of the Indirect Approach applied in the study was Problem Solving, Investigation and Exploration of Mathematics. While the process skill developed in the study was inductive reasoning, critical thinking, mathematical communication, and problem solving. The result shows that the Indirect Approach applied in the learning of mathematics was able to develop the mathematical process skill of the elementary school students. Keywords : Indirect Learning, Process skill, Investigation, Problem Solving, Exploration, Inductive Reasoning, Critical Thinking, Communication

Abstract

Pembelajaran Kimia Fisik I biasanya dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, hal ini membuat pembelajaran berpusat pada dosen (teacher centered learning) sehingga mahasiswa menjadi pasif dalam menerima materi. Seharusnya mahasiswa aktif dalam  membangun konsepnya dan berusaha sendiri untuk memikirkan apa yang sebaiknya dilakukan untuk mencapai tujuan belajar. Pada materi entalpi, mahasiswa juga dituntut untuk memiliki keterampilan berpikir terperinci dalam menurunkan atau mengintegralkan persamaan dalam membangun konsep, yang kemudian diterapkan dalam soal. Metode diskusi merupakan  salah satu metode pembelajaran yang  me-libatkan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa untuk menemukan konsep dalam pembel-ajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan keterampilan berpikir ter-perinci mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Kimia Fisik I. Subjek penelitian adalah maha-siswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Kimia Fisik I pada semester ganjil TA 2013-2014 yang berjumlah 39 orang.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang  meliputi 4 siklus, tiap siklusnya terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan (plan), pelaksanaan (do) dan pemberian umpan balik (see). Hasilnya, terdapat peningkatan aktivitas mahasiswa dilihat dari antusias mereka dalam berdiskusi pada tiap siklusnya. Keterampilan berpi-kir terperinci mahasiswa juga mengalami peningkatan pada tiap siklusnya.

Abstract

System of  a good teaching and effective delivery of science is an absolutely right on target according to the needs of learners. If the increased cognitive, metacognitive then someone will increase as well.However, often a teacher ignores the student metacognition, which resulted in the learning process is not in accordance with what is expected. Based on preliminary research conducted in the course of chemical physics for chemistry pre-service in Cenderawasih University shows, the results of the interview were largely concluded reception chemistry student teachers who are not on track affect motivation to learn. Results of the questionnaire / inventory metacognition distributed to 30 pre-service showed, 80% chemistry pre-service  were in the lowest scale score 1-2 range 20% - 40.6% , means have metacognition as pre-service are unable to learn as they should learn . And  writing  test results  showed that 70% of students can not complete the test perfectly and surpass the test of time provided. This shows the inability of the students in the process of thinking in understanding the concept.Results of this study is the fact that occur in the field, and a determination of the issues raised by researchers in advanced research to develop a learning program based chemical physics metacognition integrated approach to improve understanding of the concept. Keywords : Preliminary Studies, Integrated Metacognition, Comprehension concept

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of human resources such as Indonesia can be done through science education. Science is full of activities thought to be a vehicle for improving the quality of human resources in Indonesia, especially in developing thinking skills. The formation of these skills is crucial in the development of personalities and patterns of action in the life of every human being Indonesia, because it is the learning of science need to be empowered to achieve that purpose. Science education had done much to develop higher level thinking that one of them is critical thinking. To determine the level of success in developing students critical thinking, required an assessment tool that can measure these abilities. Basic test of critical thinking skills should be developed in all subjects. Chemical subjects which have applications in everyday life can be a good start in answering these challenges. Critical thinking skills can be developed through the concept of carbon compounds which have the characteristics of a concept that involves drawing symbols. Formulation of the problem in this study is how the measuring tool that needs to be developed that can accurately measure the critical thinking skills of high school students as a result of learning the concept of hydrocarbons? The purpose of this research is to develop measurement tools of critical thinking on the concept of hydrocarbon compounds for high school students and know the description of critical thinking skills of high school students in the District of Brass on the concept of hydrocarbon compounds. Design used in this study is "Research and Development (R & D)" of the model Borg (1989). Research sites in the high school in the district of Brass. The subjects in this study were high school science class II is determined at random 107 students from schools in the District Brass. The instruments used in this study form beads tiered multiple-choice test questions. Technique of data collection is done through a written test. Quantitative data in the form of data acquisition score of critical thinking skills students are treated statistically. Differences in critical thinking skills of high school students based on the ranking of schools in the District Brass done statistical tests by using ANOVA test of the two pathways. The results showed that there are differences in the average critical thinking skills among high school students in the region which is an average Brass thinking skills critical top-ranked schools = 38.70, the average skill of critical thinking high school rank = 32.98, and average skills critical thinking ranked schools under = 33.50. This indicates that the test developed to distinguish critical thinking skills among high school in the district of Brass.

Abstract

The aim of this study describes inquiry abilities of primary school teachers in Bandar Lampung. This research was conducted at several elementary schools that have been categorized as "good schools". The sampling technique used is the Quota Samples of taking an arbitrary element in the sample reach the desired amount. Twenty teachers selected into the sample from the population of all teachers in Bandar Lampung. Results showed that (1) the average score of 34.37 teachers 'inquiry abilities, (2) the average score of 36.28 teachers' knowledge of inquiry, and (3) elementary science learning in Bandar Lampung not in accordance with the directives of the BNSP: that learning science should be carried out scientific inquiry.
