Abstract

 AbstractTarekat Dala>ilul Khaira>t is a congregation that is run by fasting for three years without stopping (except in time of fasting is forbidden according to Islamic law), and every day reading the book of Dala>ilul Khaira>t (not bound by a specific time), how to run it is not bound by place (ribat), and are not guided directly by the Sheikh (teacher). Al-Quran sees that religion and culture are different and must be clearly distinguished, but not separated. Thus, Islam (The Quran) became into dialogue with space and time. Universal religion it will always find its relevance to specific and concrete demands of its adherents, according to space and time, along with the dynamics and vitality. In doing Dala>ilul Khaira>t with good behavior for three years, it becomes a habit of good behavior, that are somewhat forced, then the habit has become a kind of law, means the Congregation Dala>ilul Khaira>t positively influences positive social behavior. Social behaviors are manifested by Dala>ilul Khaira>t followers such as diligent, patient, qanaah, tasa>muh}, constancy, obey the rules, honest, and hard work.Keywords: tarekat, social behavior, culture

Abstract

AbstractThe relationship between people in the society in modern era is more dominant based on material account. As a result, the communication built seems to be dried without meaning. Moreover, there are many transactional interactions resulted in the vagueness of law enactment, justice and in favor of certain people. Another phenomenon is the emergence of various illness among society like free sex, domestic violence, violence against children, women exploitation and etc. This sick condition of society needs solution. Thus, this article tries to explain several concepts on healthy society based on Qur’an. According to this Holy Book a healty society is a society having correct faith; appreciating others beliefs, obeying laws as well as acting in a just way; upholding the truth, preventing from misdeeds; upholding ethic and good deeds; admitting equity among human being; having empathy, caring others; having affection for others and working together; having social honesty; and avoiding materialistic ways of life. If it is impossible to take the concepts into account in a society, it becomes a crusial point of social destruction in the view of the Qur’an.  Key Words: Healthy society, Al-Qur`an.

Abstract

AbstractSura al-Ma>’u>n, in short, denies formalistic prayers (‘iba>dah shu>riyah). It says that helping unfortunate people is the requirement of faith, the same as being preoccupied that is the requirement to set up prayers. The sura also threatens people who are reluctant to help people who need help with Hell. This article, firstly, gives general view on the Sura. Secondly, it uncovers some social messeges from the Sura. It is hoped that the article reaffirms Islam as an intact religion; having no tendency towards ritual aspect at the expense of the sosial aspect. Islam also requires its adherents to be preoccupied people in performing prayers as well as being active in spreading social piety.Key Words: Social Teachings

AbstractIslamic law is one of the prominent Islamic nomenclaturbe in Islamic studies. Joseph Schacht, A Western scholars analyzes hadits based on historical view. In his opinion suggests as if the hadits is not mutawwatir therefore it is difficult to identify. It seems that the reason aborts hadits as a source of Islamic law.Key Words:  AbstrakHukum Islam salah satu nomeklatur Islam yang penting dalam khazanah keilmuaan Islam. Salah satu intelektual barat yaitu Joseph Schacht yang menganalisa hadis berdasarkan pandangan sejarah yang terpenggal. Abstract

AbstractAl-Quran as the words of God revealed to the Prophet Muhammad becomes the Muslims’ way of life. It does not only teach about faith, worship, laws and morality, but also describes things related to science. In the Quran there are several terms like al-naz}r, al-fikr, al-aql, and al-qalb which suggest some forms of scientific methodology. These scientific methodologies that have been practiced by the scientists and philosophers are the method of observation (al-naz}r), method of rational thinking (al-fikr and al-aql), as well as intuitive method (al-qalb). On the contrary, the Quran says that the use of these methods is aimed at getting the truth in order to strengthen the faith (dhikrulla>h).Key Words: al-Naz}r, al-Fikr, al-Aql, and al-Qalb.

Abstract

AbstractTasawuf is a knowledge aiming at getting human beings as close as possible to God and avoiding them from being tempted by desire which is temporary pleasure and is wordly oriented. Therefore, the sufi proposes the concept on ways (t}ariqat) towards God. It is started with spiritual exercises (riya>d}ah), and step by step undergoes various phases, known as maqa>m (levels) and h}a>l (condition), that ends with knowing (marifat) God. The goals of Tasawuf is to get close to God. The sufi reach that condition in different ways. In the world of tasawuf, a sufi should know maqa>m dan ah}wa>l. Maqa>m is often defined as levels, that is the level of a servant before God. Such a level is in line with people’s seriousness or hard working in performing prayers and spiritual exercises as self control. All of these have relation with the effort to get close to God. The characteristics of maqa>m is permanent. Maqa>ma>t experienced by the Sufi is different from one another since their psychological condition are different. Ah}wa>l is a spiritual condition experienced by a sufi accompanying certain maqa>m without efforts. The characteristics of h}al is something temporer and cannot be undertaken. Ah}wa>l among sufi are varied. There are many kinds of h}al.Key Words: Tasawuf, Maqamat, Ahwal

Abstract

Abstract      This article discusses a phenomenon of Madurese satay sellers’ life who went to Yogyakarta. During the research, the writer found that the selllers wear lucky charm that is derived from the fourth verse of Sura Yusuf of the Holy Qur’an. Therefore it is called Qur’anic lucky charm. The use of this Qur’anic lucky charm gives an impact on uncommon interpretation. In this regards, the concept of kaukaban (stars), al-shamsa (sun), and al-qamara (moon) that refer to the Prophet Yusuf’s siblings and parents, are interpreted as the buyers and the sellers. In addition, the verse saying raaytuhum li> sa>jidi>n is then concluded that the buyers will be sa>jidi>n (kneeling) to buy the satay that they sell around the community.Key Words: Lucky Charm, the Madurese satay seller, Qur’anic Lucky Charm.
