Abstract

This creative project is a novel that tells a story about a teenage boy, Adriel, who tries to live of his life on a number of depressing accounts that is happening throughout his life. His father, Julius, has changed Adriel for the worse due to his subconscious abusive actions because he contracts depression himself. Adriel?s depression is going to accumulate based on the inferiority complex, excessive guilt, and other instances he experience along the way. Adriel then meets a girl named Olivia. Olivia is a cheerful, seemingly smart girl on the outside, but Adriel realizes that she is just the same as he is. My purpose of writing this novel are to raise the ever-growing prevalent issue on suicidal depression in our society; to understand why and how someone might feel depressed; and, for people to know the underlying symptoms, so they are not letting it go unnoticed.

Abstract

Teen drama films, which usually consist of ?finding self-identity?, usually talk about how the teenagers survive, trying to fit in the society so they can be accepted as another identity. My creative work is abouta girl who has been compared by her mother to her sister since her childhood and also being bullied because she does not have good grades, thus leads her to grow into a ball of inferiority and lose herself. She goes on a journey with her punk friends to find her father and finally, she finds her true self. The main subject matter for this creative work is self-identity. However, the theme is how social environment can make people feel inferior and shape someone?s identity. The theory used for this work is ?Stages of Psychosocial Development? by Erik Erikson. This theory helps to find the crisis inside a specific range of ages when the stage is not met.

Abstract

Exhibitionism is a mental disorder characterized by compulsive disorder for exhibiting genital to an unsuspecting stranger. Through my creative work, I would like to raise awareness about exhibitionism for all readers, especially Indonesian people. I hope after reading my screenplay, readers will be able to understand more about exhibitionism. My screenplay explores the struggle of an exhibitionist to repress his desire to exhibit and his effort to change into a ?normal? person sexually through Peter, my main character. The story goes around Peter who is an exhibitionist that is struggling with his desire to expose his genital to his victims while he does not really accept his sexual deviation which resulted internal conflict inside him. Later, he meets a girl that he really likes which makes him motivated to change. He tries his best to change before the girl realizes that there is something else about him.

Abstract

This study is about the main characters?, Langen, Febi, and Fani, effort in achieving equality in teen lit novels Cewek!!!and Still?,. However, despite the girls? effort, they fail in achieving equality. To find the effort and failure of girls in achieving equality, I use the theory of gender stereotype. From the theory, I find that the girls show their effort in achieving equality from their strength, independence, logic, and intelligence. Although the girls show their effort, these novels still show the girls? failure in achieving equality. It can be seen by the girls are pictured as weak, emotional, unintelligent, and submissive; while the boys (Rei, Bima, and Rangga) are pictured as strong, rational, and intelligent. In conclusion, I find that despite showing the girls? effort, these novels also shows that the girls fail in achieving equality. Therefore, I hope that teen lit will have stories that do not judge girls, but shows real equality.

Abstract

Chick Lit usually focus on how the main character finally finds her true love after several times meeting the wrong guy. However, through the issues of marriage that I make, I am stressing more on their psychological emotional maturity before they decide to get married. The story talks about a woman who has a boyfriend but not ready to marry him. She captured in her own insecurities about being a wife. Her situation gets worse when she rejected the proposal and her family found out. The story will revolve around the emotional journey of the problem and slowly reveals the changing behavior and her ways of thinking. Hopefully this work will remind people to look the idea of how important it is to see that marriage is not about age. To understand how psychological emotional maturity works, six levels of maturity are used as the main theory in this work.

Abstract

Pelangi Kristuschildren seminaryis a Christian school which runs its educational levels from kindergarten to high school whose curricula and teaching principles are based on biblical perspectives. The competitors of this school are also Christian schools that exist a few meters away, in the same area. Its main problem is the ineffective video that this institution utilizes as a promotional means. To alleviate its promotional video problem, creating one- and two-minute videos which emphasize on independent learners and social excellence are the best solution since this school never makes any short videos that can rebrand its old images. As a result, this company will have such a fresh positive image.
