Abstract

Rhema Tours and Travel is a travel agency located in Jalan Jemursari 234A that specializes in Christian pilgrimage trips. It offers tours to Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and Europe. There were only a few people who know about Rhema Tours and Travel. This is probably due to ineffective promotional tools. Rhema Tours and Travel had brochures and company profiles to promote their Holy-land tours. However, those promotional tools are not very effective since they did not highlight the uniqueness of Rhema?s Holy Land Tours. Therefore, I made a marketing booklet to serve as an effective promotional tool that can promote Rhema?s Holy Land tours to customers by highlighting its uniqueness.

Abstract

This study is about communication strategies used by the students of twelfth grade and teacher?s responses when they were having an integrated English class. The writer used Mariani?s (2010) theory. The subjecs of the study were 19 students and 1 teacher. The source of data was the students? and teacher?s utterances during the two meetings. The data were the students? and teacher?s utterances, (verbal and non-verbal (gestures, eye contact, facial expressions)) which contain communication strategies related to the topic learning. The findings of this study revealed that students used four types of Communication Strategies: Meaning-expression, Meaning-negotiation, Conversation-management and Para- and extra linguistic. The students used these strategies mostly because they were unsure how to answer the teacher?s question and did not know the meaning of the word. The writer hopes that there would be a further study which focused about conversation or speaking class.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the persuasive strategies used by X insurance agents in prospecting the customers and reveal the differences and similarities between persuasive strategies used by insurance agents in prospecting same-age customers and older customers. Through this study, the writer tried to relate the persuasive strategies used by insurance agents to the customers? age factor. The writer chose three insurance agents who worked in X Insurance company and classified the customers into two categories based on their ages; firstly, customers who are in the same-age group as the agents; secondly, customers who are in different-age (older) group from the agents. In the findings, it turned out that in prospecting both customers? categories, the insurance agents used both persuasive strategies proposed by Beebe & Beebe (2012); however some methods of persuasion strategies were not used at all. This study concluded that the age of the customers does not really affect the way insurance agents prospect their customers.

Abstract

This creative project is a romantic suspense novel that tells about the emotional bond of a cruel psychopath, Lukas, who kidnaps people and commits drug exploitation on them, and Sharon, who is one of his victims. To develop the plot and the characterization, I used four theories: Psychoanalysis, Antisocial Personality Disorder, Stockholm syndrome and Dream Analysis. The themes are about perception, exploring that of the psychopath?s false perception about people?s lives, and purpose, in which we explore both the psychopath and the victim?s contradicting purpose. This novel will also explore the topics of drug exploitation, factors that trigger Stockholm syndrome to the victim, and the syndrome?s effects to both the psychopath and victim. These are to assist me in conveying my purpose of writing this novel which are to raise the ever-growing issue of kidnapping and drug abuse, so that people could raise their guard more; also, for the people to know the underlying causes of a problematic person?s actions, so they are not quick to judge.

Abstract

This Business Communication Final Project (BCFP) is made for PT. Aneka Indo Makmur (AIM), one of the biggest biscuits manufacturers in Indonesia. The background of the study is the fact that the company has a hard time getting new partners or distributors. PT. AIM does not have a right promotional tool that can convince the partners to work together with the company. Because of this problem, the company cannot develop the business. Thus, PT. AIM needs a company profile video which not only can give a clearer information about the company, but also can function as a marketing tool for PT. AIM, to promote its unique strengths and attract more partners or distributors. This company profile video contains the company?s history, product description, structure of the company, employee performance, company?s vision and mission statement, company?s working environment, and also rewards that the company has received.
