Abstract

Abstract:The Islamic schools in Surabaya participated in teaching on the social-science instructional model based multicultural education. The research aimed to study about how to design the instructional model performed by the teachers then practiced together in the teaching and learning process at the Islamic Schools in Surabaya, and to find out how the teachers’ creativity in managing the class and educating the students to become the generations who has multicultural competencies for the nation progress in maintaining harmony in the religious community. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The research findings showed that the social-science instructional model based multicultural education was implemented to the students in the Islamic schools, especially in understanding the multicultural in the social life.Abstrak:Sekolah Islam di Surabaya berpartisipasi dalam pengajaran model pembelajaran Ilmu Sosial berbasis pendidikan multikultural. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari bagaimana merancang model pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru kemudian berlatih bersama dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran di Sekolah Islam di Surabaya dan untuk menemukan bagaimana kreativitas guru dalam mengelola kelas dan mendidik anak-anak untuk menjadi generasi yang kompetensi multikultural untuk kemajuan bangsa dalam menjaga keharmonisan dalam komunitas agama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Temuan penelitian adalah bahwa model pembelajaran sains sosial berbasis pendidikan multikultural di Sekolah Islam diterapkan kepada siswa, terutama dalam memahami multikultural dalam kehidupan sosial.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) religius, nasionalisme, mandiri, gotong royong, dan integritas di SD Muhammadiyah Macanan Sleman. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, 6 orang guru 6 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan: penguatan pendidikan karakter religius dilakukan terintegrasi dengan beberapa mata pelajaran seperti ismubaris, al-islam, bahasa arab, praktik ibadah, dan kemuhammadiyahan. Penguatan pendidikan karakter nasionalisme melalui kegiatan rutin upacara bendera setiap hari senin,  dan ektrakulikuler membatik dan karawitan. Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter mandiri yaitu siswa membuat peraturan kelas (golden class). Penguatan pendidikan karakter gotong royong yaitu siswa saling tolong menolong dalam melakukan setiap kegiatan. Penguatan pendidikan karakter integritas yaitu siswa bertanggung jawab dalam mengerjakan pembelajaran maupun dalam kegiatan di luar kelas.Abstract:This study aimed to describe the Character Education Strengthening (PPK) of religious, nationalism, independence, mutual cooperation, and integrity at Muhammadiyah Elementary School of Macanan, Sleman. The research approach used is a qualitative approach. The research subjects were the principal, 6 teachers, and 6 students. The data collection techniques used interview, observation, and documentation. Based on the findings, it could be concluded that strengthening religious characters education were integrated with several subjects such as ismubaris, al-islam, Arabic, worship practices, and kemuhammadiyahan (knowledge about Muhammadiyah). Strengthening the nationalism character education was in the form of routine flag ceremony activities, batik extracurricular, and traditional musical event. Threngthening the independent character education was in the form of the students made class rules (golden class). Strengthening education character of mutual cooperation was in the form of the students helped each other in carrying out every activity. Strengthening integrity character education was in the form of students’ reponsibilities on activities both inside and outside the classroom

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi implementasi pendidikan karakter pada Madrasah Aliyah di Provinsi Aceh, implementasi budaya Madrasah Aliyah terhadap antisipasi penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan siswa pada Madrasah Aliyah di Provinsi Aceh, dan kendala implementasi pendidikan karakter Madrasah Aliyah di Provinsi Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, subjek penelitian 3 orang kepala Madrasah Aliyah dan 15 orang guru yang bertugas pada tiga Madrasah Aliyah ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Sementara analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian, implementasi pendidikan karakter pada Madrasah Aliyah di Aceh dilakukan melalui strategi integrasi dalam mata pelajaran. Budaya karakter pada Madrasah Aliyah berimplikasi positif terhadap antisipasi penyalahgunaan narkoba terhadap peserta didik di Aceh. Implementasi pendidikan karakter pada Madrasah Aliyah di Provinsi Aceh terlaksana secara efektif dan tidak mengalami kendala.Abstract:The study aimed to determine the implementation strategy of the character education in the Islamic High Schools (Madrasah Aliyah) of Aceh Province, the cultural implementation of the Islamic High Schools against the drug abuse anticipation among the students in the Islamic High Schools of Aceh Province, and the implementation obstacles of the character education in the Islamic High Schools of Aceh Province. This study used a qualitative research method. The research subjects were 3 school principals of the Islamic High Schools and 15 teachers assigned to three Islamic High Schools that were selected by using purposive sampling. The data analysis was conducted by using the descriptive approach. The findings showed that the implementation of the character education in the Islamic High Schools of Aceh was conducted through the integration strategies in the subjects. The character culture of the Islamic High Schools had positive implications on the drug abuse anticipation of the students in Aceh. The implementation of character education in the Islamic High Schools of Aceh Province was carried out effectively and did not get any obstacles.

Abstract

Abstrak:Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) mengembangkan instrumen asesmen literasi sains berbasis nilai-nilai Islam dan Budaya Indonesia dengan pendekatan kontekstual, 2) mengetahui kualitas produk yang telah dikembangkan menurut ahli Pendidikan IPA, pendidikan agama islam, pendidikan budaya, evaluasi pendidikan, dan ahli bahasa, 3) mengetahui hasil uji coba produk dan memberikan contoh produk dengan pendekatan kontekstual. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi ahli IPA, ahli Agama Islam, Ahli Budaya, Bahasa, dan Ahli Evaluasi Pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah R & D yang mengadaptasi metode Test of Scientific Literacy Skills (TOSLS) Development Process. Kualitas produk yang dikembangkan berkategori “sangat layak”. Hasil uji coba soal literasi sains berbasis nilai-nilai islam dan budaya Indonesia dengan pendekatan kontekstual mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 75,67 untuk hasil penilaian nilai islam; 73,33 untuk hasil penilaian nilai budaya; dan rata-rata 65 untuk hasil penilaian keterampilan literasi sains.Abstract:The study aimed: 1) to develop the science literacy assessment instrument based on the Islamic values and Indonesian culture with the contextual approach, 2) to find out the developed product quality according to the experts of the science education, the Islamic education, the cultural education, the educational evaluation, and the linguists (language experts), 3) to examine the results of try-out product and provide the product examples with the contextual approach. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets of science experts, Islamic experts, cultural experts, language experts and educational evaluation experts. The study was R & D (Research and Development) adapting the Test of Scientific Literacy Skills (TOSLS) Development Process method. The developed product quality was categorized as "very feasible". The try-out results of the science literacy test based on the Islamic values and the Indonesian culture with the contextual approach got the mean scores of 75.67 for the results of the Islamic values; 73.33 for the results of the cultural value assessment; and 65 for the results of the science literacy skill assessment.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan Jigsaw III terhadap keaktifan berinteraksi mahasiswa PGSD semester II dalam perkuliahan pendidikan matematika kelas awal. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Dipilih dua kelas secara acak dengan responden sebanyak 78 mahasiswa. Responden dibagi dalam kelas ekperimen dan kelas kontrol. Setiap kelas diberikan pretes untuk mengetahui kondisi awal keduanya. Selanjutnya, kelas eksperimen memperoleh treatment menggunakan Jigsaw III, sedangkan kelas kontrol tidak menggunakan Jigsaw III. Untuk mengukur ada atau tidaknya pengaruh Jigsaw III, kedua kelas diberikan posttes. Keaktifan berinteraksi mahasiswa diamati menggunakan angket. Data dianalisis dengan membandingkan skor rata-rata pretes maupun posttes antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Uji t menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan keaktifan berinteraksi antara mahasiswa kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut disimpulkan bahwa Jigsaw III berpengaruh terhadap keaktifan berinteraksi mahasiswa.AbstractThe study aimed to find out the effect of Jigsaw III application on the second semester students’ interactivity of the Primary School Teacher Education in the early stage mathematics education class. The study used quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control group design. Two classes were chosen randomly with the total number of 78 students. The students were divided into experimental and control class. Every class was given the pre-test to find out the initial conditions of both. Furthermore, the experimental class received treatment using Jigsaw III, while the control class without using it. To measure the effect of Jigsaw III, both classes were given post-test. The data of the students’ interactivity were taken by using questionnaires. The data were analyzed by comparing the mean scores of the pre-test and post-test between the experimental class and the control class. The T-test showed that there were differences of the students’ interactivity between the experimental class and the control class. Based on the findings, it could be concluded that application of Jigsaw III was effective on  students interactivity.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan tujuan mengetahui sejauh mana kemampuan membaca siswa SD kelas 2 khususnya yang berada di kecamatan Sekarbela, Lombok, NTB. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  berjumlah 6 orang guru dan 179 orang siswa dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara kepada guru, tes membaca dan penyebaran angket kepada siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan deskriptip kuantitatif dengan melihat persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca siswa SD kelas II yang berada di Kecamatan Sekarbela, Lombok, NTB berdasarkan tes yang dilakukan rata-rata mencapai 59.49 % (kategori rendah) dan persentase rata-rata pengisian angket kemampuan membaca siswa mencapai hasil 57.04% (kategori rendah). Dari hal tersebut jelaslah jika kemampuan membaca siswa masih perlu ditingkatkan. Abstract:This research is a survey research with the aim of knowing the extent of abilitiy of the 2nd grade elementary students especially in Sekarbela Sub-district, Lombok, NTB. This research involved 6 teachers and 179 students. The data were gained through observation, interview to the teachers, reading test and questionnaire distributed to the students. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive by looking at the percentage. The result of the research revealed that the reading ability of the 2nd grade students of elementary school in Sekarbela Sub-district, Lombok, NTB. Based on the test, the average reached 59.49% and the average percentage of the questionnaire about the students’ reading ability reached 57.04%. Based these finding, it shows students’ reading skill needs to be improved.

Abstract

Abstract:This study aimed to find out the mathematic teachers’ perception about the implementation of Curriculum 2013 the tenth grade in one of schools in Makassar. This research was qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were 4 Mathematic teachers of the tenth grade. Data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis was done by reducing data through summarizing all of the result from interview, observation and documentation. Then, the data were presented in the form of narration and conclusion. The results of this study indicated that the Mathematic teachers’ perception toward the implementation of Curriculum 2013 got negative response. This result based on research analysis: First, the teachers described that Curriculum 2013 was complicated because the core competencies assessed the students from all aspects of attitude, knowledge and skills. Second, the teachers had misconceptions about the scientific approach implemented in Curriculum 2013 which was using discovery/inquiry learning or project based learning model however in reality the teachers used STAD model of cooperative learning. In this case, the lack of socialization had an impact on teachers in applying the Curriculum 2013.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi guru matematika tentang penerapan Kurikulum 2013 kelas sepuluh di salah satu sekolah di Makassar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 4 guru Matematika kelas X. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengurangi data melalui meringkas semua hasil dari wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Kemudian, data disajikan dalam bentuk narasi dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru matematika terhadap penerapan Kurikulum 2013 mendapat respon negatif. Hasil ini berdasarkan analisis penelitian: 1) guru menggambarkan bahwa Kurikulum 2013 rumit karena kompetensi inti menilai siswa dari semua aspek sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan. 2) guru memiliki kesalahpahaman tentang pendekatan ilmiah yang diterapkan dalam Kurikulum 2013 yang menggunakan pembelajaran penemuan/penyelidikan atau model pembelajaran berbasis proyek namun pada kenyataannya guru menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif STAD. Dalam hal ini, kurangnya sosialisasi berdampak pada guru dalam menerapkan Kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

Abstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika melalui metode diskusi pada siswa Kelas VII MTs Negeri 1 Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian siswa Kelas VII.11 MTs Negeri 1 Makassar yang berjumlah 40 orang. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa observasi, kuesioner/angket, dan tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif berupa tabel frekuensi dan rata-rata (mean). Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I dan II mengalami peningkatan terutama pada siswa yang mengajukan pertanyaan kepada guru/ temannya tentang materi yang belum dipahami dari 10% pada siklus I meningkat 29,38% pada siklus II, siswa yang aktif memberi tanggapan atas pendapat kelompok lain sebanyak 16,25% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 38,75% pada siklus II, dan siswa yang mempresentasikan hasil pekerjaannya sebanyak 23,13% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 48,75% pada siklus II.Motivasi belajar matematika siswa juga mengalami peningktan dari 70% siswa yang mempunyai motivasi belajar sedang pada siklus I menjadi 67,50% siswa yang mempunyai motivasi belajar yang tinggi pada siklus II. Berdasarkan skor hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah diadakan pembelajaran dengan metode diskusi terjadi peningkatan skor rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa pada siklus I sebesar 7,92 menjadi 8,80 pada siklus II. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa, yang pada akhirnya akan sangat berpengaruh dalam menentukan hasil belajar matematika siswa Kelas VII.11 MTs Negeri 1 Makassar.AbstractThe study aimed at increasing the students’ mathematics learning motivation by using the discussion method of the seventh class at the State MTs 1 Makassar City. This study was a classroom action research with the total number of 40 seventh class students at the State MTs 1 Makassar as the research subjects. The instruments of the data collection used were observations, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis such as the frequency tables and the mean. The findings showed that the students' learning activities in cycles I and cycle II improved, especially the students who addressed questions to the teacher or their friends about the material that was difficult in understanding it. It could be seen through the percentage increase form cycle I to cycle II, from 10% to 29.38%. The students who actively responded to another group opinions were as many as 16.25% in cycle 1 increased to 38.75% in cycle 11, and the students who presented their work results were as many as 23.13% in cycle 1 increased to 48.75% in cycle 11. The students’ mathematics learning motivation also increased. It could be seen that 70% of the students who had the medium motivation in the cycle 1, became 67.50% of students who had high learning motivation in cycle II. Based on the scores of students' mathematics learning outcomes after learning by using the discussion method, there was an increase in the mean scores of the students’ mathematics learning outcomes. It could be seen on the mean score increase from cycle I to cycle II, from 7.92 to 8.80. Based on those findings, it inferred that the discussion method could increase the students' mathematics learning motivation that was very influential in determining the students’ mathematics learning outcomes of the seventh class at the State MTS 1 Makassar.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kompetensi kewirausahaan mahasiswa program studi pendidikan ekonomi di Kota Makassar yang memperoleh pembelajaran kewirausahaan berbasis budaya lokal dengan mahasiswa yang tidak mendapatkan pembelajaran kewirausahaan berbasis budaya lokal. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan sebab akibat dari satu atau lebih variabel terikat dengan melakukan manipulasi variabel bebas pada suatu keadaan yang terkendali (variabel kontrol). Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa program studi pendidikan ekonomi di Kota Makassar sebanyak 621 mahasiswa, dengan sampel responden sebanyak 487 mahasiswa. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi kewirausahaan yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kewirausahaan berbasis budaya lokal lebih tinggi daripada mahasiswa yang tidak memperoleh pembelajaran kewirausahaan berbasis budaya lokal.Abstract:The study aimed to find out the comparison of the students’ entrepreneurship competency of economics education study program in Makassar City between who obtained entrepreneurship learning based on the local culture and those who did not get entrepreneurship learning based on the local culture. The research used the experimental method to identify the causal-effect relationship of one or more dependent variables by manipulating independent variables in a controlled state (control variable). The population on the study were 621 students from the economics education study program in Makassar City, with the sample of 487 students. The data were collected by using questionnaire. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive quantitative t-test. The findings showed that the entrepreneurial competencies possessed by the students who obtained entrepreneurship learning based on the local culture were higher than the students who did not obtain entrepreneurship learning based on the local culture.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan realitas budaya madrasah, mendeskripsikan realitas motivasi kerja guru, dan menguji korelasi antara budaya madrasah dengan motivasi kerja guru di MTs se-Kecamatan Sinjai Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan metode ex post facto. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah semua guru di MTs se-Kecamatan Sinjai Barat yang berjumlah 64 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kemudian hasilnya dianalisis menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa realitas budaya madrasah berada pada kategori kondusif dengan persentase 83% dari kriteria yang ditetapkan; realitas motivasi kerja guru berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase 79% dari kriteria yang ditetapkan; dan korelasi antara budaya madrasah dengan motivasi kerja guru di MTs se-Kecamatan Sinjai Barat menunjukkan korelasi positif dengan nilai koefisien korelasi 0,559 dan berada pada tingkat hubungan yang sedang.Abstract:The research aimed to describe the Islamic schools’ (madrasah) culture reality, to describe the teachers’ work motivation reality, and to examine the correlation between the Islamic schools’ culture and the teachers’ work motivation at MTs (Islamic Junior High School) in West Sinjai District. This research was a correlational study by using the ex-post facto method. The Participants of this research were 64 teachers from all MTs in West Sinjai District. The instrument used was questionnaire then the data were analyzed by using product moment correlation analysis. This research revealed some significant findings that the reality of the Islamic schools’ culture could be considered as conducive with the percentage of 83%, the reality of the teachers’ work motivation was reported to be high with percentage of 79%, and the findings indicated a positive correlation between the Islamic schools’ culture and the teachers’ work motivation at MTs in West Sinjai District signified by correlational coefficient value of 0.559, which was categorized as moderate level of correlation.
