Abstract

Anre Gurutta Haji (A.G.H) Muhammad As’ad is one of the actors of forming Islamic Boarding Schools in South Sulawesi. He went back from Makkah and went to Sengkang-Wajo in 1928. He graduated from al-Falah Makkah Mukarramah. He studied to the great Ulamas in the Mesjidil Haram (Haram Mosque). Among of his teachers were Syekh Abdul Rasyid al-Bugis, Syekh Ambo Wellang al-Bugis, Syekh Abbas Abdul Jabbar al-Bugis, Syekh Mallawa al-Bugis, Syekh Umar Hamdani (the traditional expert), Syekh Ahmad Azdirin, Syekh Jamal Makki, Syekh al-Abrar, Syekh Muhammad Said al-Yamani, and Syekh Hasan al-Yamani. Another students of A.G.H Muhammad As’ad who helped as teachers such as A.G.H Abdurrah-man Ambo Dalle, A.G.H Daud Ismail, A.G.H Yunus Maratn, Hamzah Badawi, Abdul Malik Muhammad, A.G.H Muhammad Abduh Pabbaja, Abdul Muin Yusuf, and Abdul Azis (North Luwu).

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji implementasi pembelajaran jarak jauh pada pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia. Tujuannya untuk me-ngungkap berbagai konsep pendidikan jarak jauh termasuk definisi dan sejarah perkembangan serta model pem-belajaran jarak jauh yang telah diterapkan sejak sistem pendi-dikan ini diperkenalkan di Indo-nesia. Pendidikan jarak jauh di Indonesia telah dimulai sejak tahun 1950-an. Pembelajaran jarak jauh dapat dikelompokkan ke dalam tiga fase perkem-bangan, yaitu: fase perkenalan, sosialisasi, dan fase inovasi. Model pendidikan jarak jauh yang telah diterapkan di Indo-nesia adalah correspondence study, satellite Palapa, system komu-nikasi lewat radio, audiocassettes, program slide tape, video, televisi, system komunikasi elektronik Nusantara 21, dan teknologi video-conferencing.

Abstract

The professional lecturer has to own some compe-tences such as pedagogical, personal, professional, and social compe-tence. Pedagogical competence is the ability to manage the students to learn. To manage the learning well, it must be begun with activity in order to plan and design the learning. The design of learning consist of the formulation of the objective of learning which will be achieved, the development of the learning material or subject matter, it should be suitable with the objective of learning will be achieved, formulate the strategy and the learning method, and also design of the learning media which supports the achievement toward the objective of the learning, as well as evaluate so that to measure the lesson achievement whether the process or its result. The ability to design the learning is one of decision factors which support the level of lecturer’s profession.

Abstract

In doing daily activities, as individual works in the public relation, sometimes faces some choices. The individual often gets conflict because of the choices. If the conflict appears but it cannot be overcome, it can arise stress. If the individual get long stress, he can be attacked by burnout syndrome. Therefore, everyone need to understand what burnout meant, what the characteristic of someone who gets burnout is, what influencing the appearance this syndrome, what aspects covering and how its psychological dynamic. The important thing explained that the individual can know earlier and avoid the syndrome attack.

Abstract

Freud considers that motivation source of religion behavior is sexual libido. He also states that religion is illusion, its adherent ails neurosis and childish, even he states that believing in God is useless action which handicaps the development of man per-sonality. Even though, he explains the analysis of super ego, but his opinion has implication which ignores the religion education such as adhered by the Western scholars, especially in 19 century. This case invites critics which asking the validity of Freud’s opinion and it is debated from point of view the use of methodology, philosophical thought by supporting empirical reality, and the content of Freud’s comment about religion.

Abstract

Islamic education is a way to spread the Islamic teachings. Therefore, to establish Islamic educational institutions must be a program for Muslims. For the first time, Islamic education in Indonesia was conducted traditionally. It was conducted between the Islamic traders as teachers and the society who wanted to buy something as students. The traders also conducted al-da‘wah bi al-hāl (showing good behavior to the society). Therefore, the society was interested in the Islamic traders who brought also the Islamic teaching. Educational method used at that time was sorogan. Students came to the teacher to study. The teachers read and explained their materials to their students and students heard the materials and tried to memorize them. The method then developed to classical system through ma‘had or pesantren or boarding schools. The boarding school system keep develop up to the present time, especially in Indonesia.

Abstract

One of the important tasks in teaching is assisting students to think. Synectics Model matched with Mind Maps are viewed necessary to be applied in the instruction in order to achieve the target.The research is an experiment research with pre-test post-test control group design. The results of analyses indicate that: (1) there is significance difference with the mean score of creative think ability, creative attitude, and mastery of biology materials due to difference of instruction model used, (2) there is no significant difference of mean score of creative attitude among the students who belong to the high and low achievement. (3) there is no interactional effect between the instructional model used with the students entry behavior towards creative thinking ability, creative attitude, and mastery of biology materials.

Abstract

Family is the first and primary place for children’s moral education. A child is born without having any strength except the love of his or her family becomes a resource of life. The children’s growth and development is very dependent on other people, particu-larly his or her parents. The basis of education is given through this environment that goes based on the norms in society. The basis of psychological experiences is taught through mercy and love. The needs about the authority and moral value are integrated into the attitude and behavior as the example of the children’s moral development. Considering position of the family that is very important in the children’s moral development, the involvement and attention of all parts especially the academic practitioner to comprehensively study in order to become a good reference for the family to lead and develop children’s moral education.

Abstract

Modern scientific theory today finds itself quite close to the Quran. One reason for this is that science has not been able to produce theories or experiments that fundamentally contradict the Quran. Another reason for the harmony between the Quran and science is the presence in the Quran itself of very clear and positive encouragement to contemplate and investigate the world around us. However, the Quran goes beyond simply encouraging all human beings to be aware of the natural world. The non-Muslims in the West have already been advanced in this respect, but…why are Muslims left far behind?
