Abstract

This research was to find out the farmers response and the influencing factors of fruit rotcontrol technology with biological agent. The basic method used was analyticaldescriptive with survey technique.The location selected in the area of agrotourism villageof Serang, Karangreja, Purbalingga Regency. Serang village is divided into five hamlets:Serang, Brobahan, Rejadadi, Kaliurip Gunung, and Gunung Malang. On these research,the sample was taken by simple random technique with took 12 respondents at eachvillage district, so that was resulted 60 farmers. The data was analyzed by proportion testand multiple linear regression analysis test. The result showed that the majority offarmers had intermediate response to the fruit rot disease control technology usingbiological control agents. The age and education of farmers affected the farmersresponse possitively, while the farm size, perception, motivation, and the role ofinstructor had been no effect.

Abstract

Research place selection was determined purposively (purposive sampling) byconsideration that Sumber Ngepoh Village is one of the organic rice production centre inLawang Subdistrict Malang Regency. This research was aimed to analyze the activity oforganic and anorganic rice farming, to compare organic and anorganic farmingproduction, also to compare cost and income on organic and anorganic rice farming inSumber Ngepoh Village. The variables on organic rice farming which was affectedsignificantly were land area, labour, seeds, fertilizer, and pesticide. Whereas, Thevariables on anorganic rice farming which was affected significantly were land area,labour, seedes, and pesticide. While fertilizer affected unsignificant. The total cost oforganic rice farming production per hectare was Rp. 460.525.000 by the average amountwas Rp. 12.446.621 per hectare. The total income of an organic rice farming per hectarewas Rp 29.519.189 by the average amount was Rp 17.072.567 and total value of B/Cratio was 70,27 by the average amount was 1,89 per hectare. The total cost of anorganicrice farming production per hectare was Rp. 263.537.500 by the average amount was Rp12.494.630 per hectare. The total income of anorganic rice farming per hectare wasRp182.292.500 by the average amount was Rp 7.925.760 and total value of B/C ratio was21.00 by the average amount was 0,91 per hectare.

Abstract

Nowadays, promotion not only as offline activity but also, keeping pace with thedevelopment of technology and communication, promotion can be done by    online.One of online promotion is using weblog as promotion media.   Weblog can be usedas promotion media because it has possibility to 2-way communication, between user andvisitors. This research concerns about weblog of Pulesari Tourism Villagedesawisatapulesari. wordpress.com, with purposes: 1) determine the effectivity level ofPulesari Tourism Village’s weblog as promotion media. 2) determine the factors relatedto the effectivity Pulesari Tourism Village’s weblog as promotion media. Purposivesampling was used in this research with 50 selected visitors of Pulesari Tourism Villageas sample. The analysis methods used in this research were proportion test and chisquare. The effectivity, include three effects i.e. cognitive effect, affective effect andpsycomotoric effect. Cognitive effect means knowledge growth, affective effect meansattitude and psycomotoric effect means behavior. The research results showed that theeffectivity level was categorized as high (>50%). Factors that related to the weblogeffectivity, were content, completeness, credibility, perception and response. Contenthas gamma score 0,514, completeness 0,685, credibility 0,633, perception 0,630 andresponse 0,583. All factors have  middle-strong positive relation to  the effectivity of Pulesari Tourism Village’s weblog as promotion media.

Abstract

Tobacco has important role in national economic as labour field, income source andfarmer income. But, tobacco business depend on climate change so it has influencedfarmer to plant alternative commodity such as Soya. This research aimed to analysistobacco farmer’s respon to alternative commodity planting, to analysis farmer argumentswho still planting tobacco and  farmer arguments who planting alternative commodity, toanalysis cost and revenue difference between tobacco and soya farm, to analysis farmerarguments which prefer tobacco farm to soya farm. This research held in KedungwarasVillage, Modo Distrisct, Lamongan Regency. Primary and secondary data was analysedby descriptive analysis and statistic analysis. The result showed that farmer respon todefence tobacco farm was good (50% farmer still planting tobacco),while 75 % farmerchange to soya farm. Farmer arguments in defence tobacco farm which have high scorewas follow their parents (43,75%) and farmer arguments in change to soya farm whichhave high score was the success of planting soya. The difference of average productioncost between tobacco and soya was Rp 13.215.302/ha and the difference of averagerevenue was Rp 335521/ha.

Abstract

The development of consumer knowledge on purchased product includes severalcharacteristics which has to be fulfilled by producers. It becomes an important demandfor complete and clear information on purchased product which can include productbrand, quality, nutrition, and halal certificate the research took 3 kinds of packagingmeatball which was available in traditional market such as Yikko, KJM “Kijang Mas”,and AJ. This research was conducted to understand characteristic of the packagingmeatball consumer and to understand the relation between variabel and preference alsoto understand which attribute was considered important according to consumer inWonokromo traditional market. The sampling technique was conducted by nonprobability sampling through the accidental sampling method and the data analysis useddescriptive analysis, IPA (Important Performance Index). There were several similiaritiesof meatball consumer, such as: was dominated by women with average age was 17 – 24years old and was moeslem which were mostly student, private employee, housewife, andentrepreneur. The income level was around Rp 1.000.001 – Rp. 3.000.000 with the lasteducation level was SMU/SMK. The most important attribute according to consumerwere price, suppleness, flavor, halal certificate, quality and the less important attributefor consumer was composition. The attribute of packaging meatballs had a significantrelation to consumer preference such as price, flavor, suppleness, and quality. Price wasthe most important considerable attribute for consumer on purchasing because incomefactor which was classified to low medium income in Wonokromo traditional marketSurabaya.

Abstract

The earth climate change is characterized by the earth temperatures increasing in polesand glaciers begins to melt so that the sea level increases and causes small islandsaround disappear. The seasonal change also happens in some countries in the world,such as the temperatures changing and the decreasing of rainfall intensity every yearincluding in Indonesia, especially in East Java Province. The influence of climate changein East Java gives an impact on crops production and productivity fluctuation on riceand maize cutivation whose existance is important for the sustainability of people’s dailylife. That climate condition can cause the unhealthy rice cultivation and not fullycorncobs. That climate change has an impact on one of the component itself, such asrainfall. This research was conducted to analyze the influence of rainfall on crops area,production, and productivity on rice and maize in East Java. Within 20 years, the riceand maize production increased. The trend analysis from rice and maize commodityshowed the increasing of crops area. The increasing of crops area was in line with theincreasing of production area. Beside that, there was an increasing of productivity whichcould support the existance of food security and the evenness fulfillment. Crops area hada significant influenceon the increasing of rice and maize production while rainfallaffects the significance of rice production.

Abstract

Culinary and snack business in Indonesia still has a pretty bright prospect. In the last fiveyears, Almond Crispy becomes teenagers prima donna which can be seen in shoppingmalls and several shops in Surabaya public area. Almost everyday, Wisata Rasa shop inJemursari Surabaya is full of visitors especially for visitors who buy Almond Crispyproduct. This research was conducted to identify consumer characteristic of AlmondCrispy in Wisata Rasa shop in Jemursari Surabaya for purchasing decision and toanalyze consumer taste for product attribute of Almond Crispy which was purchased inWisata Rasa shop in Jemursari Surabaya for purchasing decision. Consumercharacteristic of Almond Crispy in Wisata Rasa Jemursari Surabaya was dominated byadult age around 26 -45 years old. Almond Crispy consumer from Wisata Rasa JemursariSurabaya was dominated by women with education level was undergraduate and wasworking as a private employee with income per month was more than Rp 4.500.000/eachmonth. Product attribute which was noticed and recognized by consumer who boughtAlmond Crispy in Wisata Rasa shop Jemursari Surabaya consisted of brand, taste,texture, and price. Price and taste has the highest consumer attitude value. AlmondCrispy taste was considered delicious by consumer with an affordable price so that itcreated aggresiveness of product attribute and attracted consumer, both existing and newconsumer, to keep visiting this shop on their purchasing decision.
