Abstract

Renewable energy use is a primary needs because high population increases will incline electrical energy demand. Noticeably, one kind of renewable energy application is in Mini Hydro Power Plant Lubuk Sao to supply electrical power to Lubuk Basung sub district in Agam District. This power plant with capacity 2.6 MW uses water waste from Maninjau power plant and will be operated in year 2015. Furthermore, electrical demand in Lubuk Basung will incline because of the movement of Agam government central to this area. In order to prevent the energy deficit in Lubuk Basung, it is needed the electrical forecasting method, i.e. SPSS Linear Regression Method. Based on the calculation of peak load inLubuk Basung, this area requires 44.65 MW electrical power in year 2016. It means the electrical power supplyfrom Mini hydro power plant Lubuk Sao in value 2.6 MW can supply apart of electrical demand in LubukBasung and the rest, i.e. 42.05 MW should be supplied by Maninjau power plant with the estimation of electricalpower form Maninjau power plant will be 58.05 MW in 2016. The rest electrical power in value 16 MW can betransmitted to other areas

Abstract

One of the most important aspects to design a secure grounding system is the resistance of the foot, where the prisoner's feet need to have high resistivity. Because prisoners foot greatly influences the magnitude of touch voltages in the substation, then the detainee raise big toe will automatically affect the voltage. To get custody feet high polyethelene plastic used as insulating soil that produces 90.71% increase soil prisoners, so expect to plan a substation that has good soil prisoners and detainees are also sizable land them using polyethelene plastic, with plastic thickness and different weather.

Abstract

Short circuit was the common disturbance on a power system that increased the current flow causing damage any equipment without a proper protection system. This research was study 1-phase shortcircuit to ground at 10% until 100% transmission length disturbance point and calculate Over Current Relay (OCR) protection setting base on disturbance current occurred. The calculation performed using manual and Matlab software, case study on GI PIP – Pauh Limo, a 22.7 km transmission length. Base on calculation result, it was found that if the disturbance getting closer to the source (disturbance point 10% of transmission length), than disturbance current increased until 147.7758 A. While the disturbance gettingaway from the source (disturbance point 100%), than disturbance current decreased until 147.3853 A. As toprotect the power transmission line from 1-phase short circuit to ground, the 0,65 s OCR setting time should be used at input and output transmission line

Abstract

PT. Bank Perkreditan Tuah Negeri Mandiri is a bank conducting business in a conventional or based on Shariah principles in its activities do not provide services in payment traffic . The main activity of BPR is intended to serve small businesses and communities in rural areas . One key to success is a credit monitoring . The number of bad credit or no credit unpaid in part or in whole is very influential on the development of the Bank . Application Development Early Warning System to detect late payment of credit is helpful in monitoring the Bank . Application Early Warning System will issue a message box to debtors who entered the payment due credit . Early Warning System type used in the form of database alerts . Message box is issued based on the existing data in the database . This early warning system also serves to perform the data processing of credit and also displays a graph of the number of debtors in each districts in the area of Pekanbaru .

Abstract

This research was proposed to study the performance of sliding mode and PID controller to control speed of DC motor. Performance study has done by simulation in Matlab/Simulink. Based on observation, the result shows that both of controllers i.e sliding mode control and PID produces good performance. However, based on analysis result, the sliding mode controller produces better performance than PID controller by comparison of transient time is 1 : 3. With the following result are τ = 0.1001 seconds, ts = 0.5005 s, tr = 0.2947 seconds, and td = 0.2487 seconds.

Abstract

In this paper, analysis of error of FRF (Frequency Response Function) magnitude of Single Degree of Freedom (SDOF) system using swept-sine signals has been simulated. The used swept-sine signals are linear swept-sine, S111 swept-sine and S535 swept-sine signals. In numerical simulations have been done the analysis of dynamic magnification function of the system with aim to predict the minimum swept time (stimulus duration) in the linear swept-sine signal method, the S111 swept-sine signal method, and the S535 swept-sine signal method, which can yield an accurate the FRF’s magnitude of the SDOF systems. Here, the SDOF systems were varied in the 0-50 Hz of measurement frequency span with 0.5% and 1% of damping ratio. The swept-sine signal stimulus durations were varied from 1 s to 10 s. From the analysis it can be concluded that by using the linear swept-sine signal method need to stimulate a system about 7 s if the system’s resonant frequency be around mid-span 0-50 Hz of measurement frequency span. If the system’s resonance frequency is not be around mid-span 0-50 Hz of measurement frequency span, then by using this method required a longer stimulus duration to obtain an accurate the FRF’s magnitude. While using the S111 swept-sine signal and S535 swept-sine signal methods, an accurate FRF’s magnitude can be obtained through stimulus more quickly, in which the S111 swept-sine signal method with about 3 s stimulus and the S535 swept-sine signal method with about 2 s stimulus, if the system’s resonance frequency is closer to the final of 0-50 Hz frequency span.
