Jurnal Pariwisata Pesona (JPP), is a scientific periodical journal of Diploma of Tourism, University of Merdeka Malang, which includes a variety of research in the field of tourism and hospitality, the analysis of actual case studies, or ideas related to the actual tourism and hospitality studies. This scientific periodical journal is intended as a means of scientific communication and a means of fostering, developing and strengthening knowledge in the field of tourism. Academics, legal practitioners, or anyone interested in the field of tourism and hospitality may submit their papers to the editor with the guidelines in writing. Researchers in all tourism and hospitality fields are encouraged to contribute articles based on recent research.

Abstract

Hotel is a commercial business, the success of a hotel business depends on its processing, because without a good management system hotel operations will not run smoothly. One department has an important role in providing comfort to guests so that the longer guests to stay are Housekeeping. The role of Housekeeping department especially room attendant in operation of a Hotel is very important, that is to maintain cleanliness, neatness, and completeness in hotel room. Researchers will discuss, how far the importance of completeness of work equipment to maximize cleanliness, neatness, and completeness of room space. The purpose of this research is to know the completeness of room attendant equipment to improve room cleaning service. The research method used by the researcher is qualitative descriptive studying the existing problems and work procedures in force. Data source for this research is obtained from observation and literature study, observation (observation) data collection by direct observation to an object under study in a short time and aims to get a picture of the object that has been studied. Library study is a method of collecting data directed to search data and information through documents, whether written documents, photographs, images, or electronic documents that can support the writing process. The solution required is communication to the floor supervisor, especially regarding the completeness of the equipment. In order to run any performance smoothly, and also room attendant can provide knowledge and good example to the junior.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the influence of competence and motivation on employee performance and working satisfaction as moderation variable. This research used primary data which was questionnaire. The sample used in this research was 60 respondents. This research was expected to provide useful information for leaders and employees. The obtained data were processed using descriptive analysis and quantitative statistical analysis. Quantitative analysis applied multiple regression analysis to find the independent variable towards the dependent one. This result of the research showed that both competence and motivation influenced the employee performance and working satisfaction as moderation variable in Patra Semarang Convention Hotel. Keywords: competence, motivation, working satisfaction, and employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how big educational tourist opportunities in travel and its influence on the level of knowledge and satisfaction of tourists in West Sumatra. This study uses quantitative descriptive research method with reference to the concept of educational oppurtunity and the level of satisfaction to tourists. Population in this research is social situation that is government, stakeholder, society and tourists. The instrument in this study is a questionnaire distributed to tourists visiting the province of West Sumatra through the area of ​​cultural tourism in 2016, interview guides and observations, using Coding model, interpretation and congrulation. Research results indicate that: (1) Tourists visiting West Sumatera have the opportunity to learn the cultural uniqueness, its just that tourists have not felt the level of satisfaction of tourism in West Sumatra. This is caused by the obstacles that exist in tourist sites for example, the ability of the community to serve tourists well, the ability of public communication is limited to tourists. Thus, the educational opportunity of tourists who travel is classified as psychological satisfaction. The satisfaction of tourists is more seen from the supporting facilities and tourist attractions (2) educational opportunity that significant tourists with the satisfaction of tourists in West Sumatra Fhit of 5.189 with a value of significance = 0.007. The value is small from 0.05. Educational opportunity is an information for tourists in a travel tour to fit the level of customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Malang Regency has diverse tourism objects and spread throughout the districts. Those attractions include natural tourism such as beaches, mountains, and lakes; man-made tourism such as tourist park; and cultural tourism such as art artifacts/historical buildings and dance/craft attractions. Therefore, Malang Regency become one of tourism destination of regional and even international scale. However, the problem is tourist’s arrival only concentrated in some natural tourism. The inequality of tourist’s visit in natural tourism of Malang Regency can be caused by several factors such as accessibility, the condition of tourism infrastructure, as well as promotion and information that has not been separated widely. This study aims to examine the pattern of tourist movements in natural tourism of Malang Regency and then will be explored based on the tourists motivation and the characteristics of tourism destinations. Market basket analysis is used to know the dominant of tourist route. The tourists movement in natural tourism of Malang Regency  form route trip of single point, base site, stopover, and chaining loop. Furthermore, the maximum tourist movement  is four destinations during their tour. This tourist movement is based on tourists motivation and the conditions of the visited tourism such as adjacent tourist locations, length of travel, road conditions, and availability of public transport. Based on the analysis results, the most frequently visited route is Coban Rondo- Batu City. It is based on the proximity of the distance and the types of attractions offered by each tourism objects

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin menguji pengaruh daya tarik  wisata hijau terhadap kepuasan wisatawan, Metode penelitian yang di gunakan mengadopsi Skala Likert dari 1 sampai 5 di mana 5 sangat setuju dan 1 sangat tidak setuju. Populasi untuk penelitian ini terdiri dari wisatawan yang berkunjung di wisata  hijau, data yang dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber primer, data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan Statistic Program Social Sciences (SPSS). Uji analisis yang digunakan untuk adalah t-test independen dan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil Penelitian dari estimasi persamaan regresi yang diuji secara parsial tentang pengaruh daya tarik  wisata hijau terhadap kepuasan wisatawan  adalah secara positif dan signifikan wisata hijau berpengaruh terhadap  kepuasan wisatawan,  artinya bahwa semakin baik dan lengkap persediaan fasilitas di tempat   wisata hijau maka semakin meningkatkan kualitas kepuasan wisatawan di wisata hijausampai sebesar 81%. Faktor utama fasilitas wisata hijau  yang berpengaruh pada kepuasan wisatawan adalah tersedianya  ruang terbuka hijau  seperti banyaknya tanaman yang indah dan rindang di sekitar tempat wisata.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the strategy to develop the Chinatown area of Kapasan Surabaya as tourism destination using the SWOT analysis tools. The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Kapasan as one of the oldest tourism attraction in Surabaya will be analyzed comprehensively. From the study, it is expected to obtain strategic formula to develop the Chinatown area of Kapasan to be well known tourist attraction by local and international visitors.

Abstract

Politeknik Pariwisata Batam, 1028098303 thariqy@btp.ac.id   ABSTRACT  This study aims to find the components in the development of indigenous villages saribu south gadang house as a tourist destination that is a strategic plan that can be developed for the development of tourism and improve the welfare of the community. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method with reference to the concept of tourism development. Population in this research is in the form of social situation with the participant that is in it that is Government and stakeholder of tourism, tourist and society. Intruments in this study are observation, and interviews using model coding, interpretation and congrulation.   The results of this study indicate that the development of tourism can bring positive and negative impacts. Positive impacts can be seen in the improvement of the economy of the community around the tourist area and also contributes to the acquisition of local revenue. while negative impacts, among others: air pollution, water pollution, waste, Historical sites, and land use issues.

Abstract

Indonesian tourism contributes substantial foreign exchange to the state. Business actors in the field of tourism industry include travel agency, hotel, tourist transportation, restaurants and souvenir center. Travel agency helps the development of the tourism industry by arranging travel activities for tourists who want to travel with travel purposes. One of them is destinations in East Java that must be visited by foreign tourists namely Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater. The ways of promotion of a travel agency also contribute to the existence of the tourist bureau itself. More and more media campaigns conducted so many more destinations are known to many people in the country and abroad.

Abstract

Malang city has been known as one of the most favorite tourist destinations in Indonesia for several years. Thus, in order to keep its’ achievement, this study tries to find out a new iconic strategy for promoting Malang as religion tourism destination. The study is a descriptive qualitative study which focused on direct observation and literature review in order to strengthen the findings. The result of this study shows that Malang is potentially able to be promoted as religion tourism destination. However, there are several points which should be prepared, done and developed such as: 1) conducting events which can promote Malang as religion tourism destination; 2) infrastructure and integrated-transportation developments; 3) building a spacious parking area; 4) continuous socialization to community; 5) continuous promotion through social medias; 6) Establishing an agency which will help Malang to be developed as religion tourism destination.

Abstract

Keamanan merupakan aspek terpenting bagi keberlangsungan perjalanan dan aktivitas wisata. Jumlah kriminalitas Lombok Timur mencapai 1.315 kasus kriminal pada tahun 2013, hal ini bisa dipicu karena belum adanya salah satu lembaga masyarakat Kelompok Sadar Wisata di wilayah Jerowaru untuk menangani masalah keamanan wisata, berdasar gap tersebut maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi dan pengaruh kelompok sadar wisata dalam meningkatkan keamanan wisatawan.  Dengan menggunakan pendekatan konsep utama yaitu monitoring, partisipasi masyarakat, fungsi edukasi sadar wisata, sosialisasi kebijakan/pedoman pokdarwis kepada masyarakat, pemantauan dan evaluasi program pokdarwis. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara membagikan kuisioner kepada  responden (Masyarakat lokal). Uji analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil analisis diketahui terdapat pengaruh kelompok sadar wisata terhadap keamanan wisatawan wilayah Jerowaru sebesar 17,1%, sisanya sebear 82,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak termasuk dalam penelitian ini.
