Abstract

Abstract

Abstract - - Financial crisis which leads to global economic downturn have stimulated the occurence of food crisis in the earlu of 2008: spurred rice and CPO price for rising between 200-300%, and later on decreasing until 100% in the early of 2009. This phenomenon have being an important indicators for the Indonesia’s government to pay more attentions toward primary sector or agriculture and food endurace to guard national stability, aside from industrial needs and renewable energies. The role of plantation sector and palm-oil become more important due to energy crisis, because of those sectors are being one of alternative energy resources in the midst of global oil crisis, Middle East crisis and Indonesia as the second largest palm-oil producers in the world. This research focused on appropriate fiscal and monetary policy to boost palm-oil industries growth: that are comprised by export-tax policy, interest, currency exchange and retribution. The research found that export, production and oil-palm productivities are considerably respond to export-tax policy, interest and price. The fierce competition with Malaysia producers could influence export price and as the consequence, would lowering the lerruin undproducmdiy of Indonesia palm-oil. Mutualism cooperation should be build in order to create a synergic and symbiotic collaboration in the market which could be benefit for both world biggest palm-oil producers. Fiscal stimulus policies that will be applied by the government that will become very relevant based on this research are tax and interest factor.   Keywords: plantation sector palm-oil, export, consumption, fiscal and monetary policy

Abstract

Abstract - - The global monetary crisis in 2007-2008 and the focus of development on climate changes make it important to promote a healthy economic growth based on the local resources. The economic crisis, which has slowed down the economic growth and has caused job losses which result in increasing unemployment and poverty, should alter the focus of Indonesian Economic development inthe future to be based on renewable and sustainable local resources. Indonesia is an agricultural and maritime country so these two aspects should be the core of the growth. In agricultural culture, plantation sector is the sources and sustainable of economic growth because of its geographycal, demographyc, and cultural potentials. The problems in plantation sector are the low growth of areas and productivity as well as its limitedend-products. The research findings indicated that in order to increase areas, there should be guarantee on investment, interest rate, and little retribution or good governance. To increase productivity, we need a guarantee on fertilizer price, interest rate and wages, as well as pricing factors to avoid market distortion. This is very impotant relating to the economic stimulus policy which is essential to revitalize from the economic doom in the future. Keywords: plantation sector, area, productivity, investment, interest rate, and wages TEL classification: E52, E62.

Abstract

Abstract - - An advanced intake system based on a new mixer design was developed to increase intake flow pressure and at the same time generate intake turbulent flow for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuelled operation. Derived from simulation, a mixer which implements ventury-burner type was chosen to be fabricated, install and tested. A data Acquisition System (DAS) was also set up and was supported by the software to enable data processing. The results show that the new mixer has proven to improve the intake flow pressure and produced higher turbulent ratio. The Whole advanced intake system is obviously improved the CNG engine performance to get closer to that of gasoline.

Abstract

Abstract - - Bandpass filters play a significant role in wireless communication systems. Transmitted and received signals have to be filtered at a certain center frequency with a specific bandwith. In designing of microstrip filters, the first step is to carry out an approximated calculation based on using of concentrated components like inductors and capacitors. After getting the specifications required, we realized the filter structure with the parallel-coupled technique. Experimental verification gives comparison, how close the theoretical results and measurements look like.   Keywords: Wireless communication, WiMAX, bandpass filter, parallel-coupled microstrip, computational electromagnetics.

Abstract

Abstract - - Based on UU RI No.4 in 1997 and PP RI No.4 in 1998, the invalids have the same opportunities in the aspects of life and living. The provisions of acessibility elements to the public buildings and the environment is one of the important aspects in increasing the welfare of the invalids. This research was conducted to evaluate the accessibility elements in 6 shopping centers in West Jakarta. The results showed that the accessibility of Mall Puri Indah and Mall Matahari Daan mogot were appropriateto the invalids, while the four others were not. Keywords: Invalid, accessibility, shopping centre.

Abstract

Abstract - - Exact solution for dynamic system with distributes mass in elastic state in commonly analyzed by Euler Bernoulli theory, that is plane cross sections perpendicular to the axis of the beem remains plane and perpendicular to the axis after deformation (Wang.1995). Due to effect of transverse shear deformations, the plane cross sections remain plane but not necessarily normal to the longitudinal axis after deformation. This effect may have significant influence on the natural frequency of the large and deep beam. Also, the inertial resistance to rotational acceleration or the beam could not be ignored for the large and deep beam. Invetigation is made for these two conditions by the use of Timoshenko’s beam theory. This paper presents exact solution of natural frequency, of which shear deformationand rotary inertia effects are included in the analysis. Number of made-shapes become definite if which shear deformation and rotary inertia effects are included in the analysis.   Keywords: Timoshenko’s beam theory, shear deformation and rotary inertia, made-shapes.. plantation sector, area, productivity, investment, interest rate, and wages TEL classification: E52,E62

Abstract

Abstract - - There are many literatures about bussiness organization-system building that use the human resources as determinant to make the competitive advantage. But they don’t disscuss the disposition of people (fitrah manusia) so the role of the human resources haven’t been maximum in achieving the competitive advantage. This paper disscuss the Emotional and Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) as an integration of IQ. EQ and SQ to enhance the quality of hman resources. The human resources are unique and different from the others resources. The ESQ can integrate the intellegence and heart of people (rational, emotional, and spiritual elements) in the building the strong character and personality that based on the sublime human values. Finally, the advance and the success will be achieved through the human resource having good quality, not only intellectually, but the balanced with the high ESQ. With this descriptive analysis of ESQ, we’ll see the problem clearly and the results of this view’ll contribute the important matter to create the competitive advantage through the human resources’ capabilities.   Key words: Emotional Qoutient, Spiritual Quotient, quality of human resources and emotional, and spiritual quotient.
