Jurnal Hutan Tropis (JHT) adalah Jurnal Nasional peer-reviewed yang memuat artikel ilmiah bidang kehutanan seperti manajemen hutan, ekonomi dan bisnis kehutanan, pengelolaan DAS, hidrologi, silvikultur, penginderaan jauh, ekologi, ekowisata, ilmu tanah hutan, agroforestri, perhutanan sosial, kebijakan kehutanan, perencanaan hutan, penyuluhan kehutanan, teknologi hasil hutan, konservasi sumberdaya hutan, dan perlindungan hutan. JHT terbit pertama kali tahun 1999 yang awalnya bernama Jurnal Hutan Tropis Borneo, kemudian pada tahun 2010 berubah menjadi Jurnal Hutan Tropis. Tahun 2013 terjadi perubahan gaya selingkung dan perwajahan sehingga memperoleh ISSN yang baru (p-ISSN 2337-7771;e-ISSN 2337-7992). Saat ini JHT diterbitkan atas kerjasama Fakultas Kehutanan Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) dengan Persatuan Sarjana Kehutanan Indonesia (PERSAKI) Pusat. JHT terbit setiap bulan Maret, Juli, dan November.

Abstract

The research concludes that the optimal revenue from forestry plantations in 2 models a combination of plants, from the combination of the two models combined model 1 has the biggest advantage is Rp2.655.167.000, -. This means that if the head of household has a land area of ​​20 ha of income per month is Rp6.125.423, - or Rp306.271, - per hectare. Optimal revenue is achieved with a combination of meranti merah, Sengon, Mahogany, Pulai and Bayur a large scale each in two types of models of the combined area of ​​20 hectares, which means that each head of a family has 20 hectares of land, as opposed to a government plan that only gives plant the forest land allocation for each head of a family with 15 ha. Production costs used to achieve the optimal revenue from a combination of three models ranging from Rp1.181.770.500, -. until Rp1.303.633.000, -. Production costs in the development of plantation forests ranged from 40 million to 90 million rupiah per hectare, an increase or decrease in revenue is affected by timber prices in the market and potential stand per hectare during the cycle. Researchers suggest the need to incorporate species that have short cycles and very prospective in the future, but it´s not just planting monocultures, but can pursue agroforestry cropping pattern and the government as the policy holder must further strengthen the institutions in society in addition to support through financial institutions. Abstract

The objective of the research is to analyzethe relationship patterns of green open space availability with temperatures in Palu city. The research methods are data extraction and mathematical analysis. Some research resultswere gained, i.e. (1) during 13 years from 1997 up to 2010 is  found that the greenery open spaces were decreased from 48,86 % to 29,48 %; (2) the decreasing the greenery open spaces is known will increase the maximum of air temperatur, significantly;(3) The ideal percentage of urban forest at Palu City is 18 648 ha (47%) of the wide of Palu city. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of macro nutrients in the  soil i.e Nitrogen (N), phosfor (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg). From the results will be obtained information on the chemical properties of soil on the protected forest of Mount Sebatung to be used in the context of forest development in the future. Research procedure consist of field surveys to determine  the  purposive sampling. Soil samples taken in the topsoil to a depth of 0-20 cm. Soil samples taken observation point of 1 meters distance, were combinedd in to one sample, to be analyzed in the laboratory. Then it will be compared with the Soil Chemical Properties Assessment Criteria according to the Institute for Soil Research Center Bogor to determine the level of concentration of each nutrients. The results showed the nutrient content of low-N and Mg. While the nutrients P, K and Ca are relatively very high. Therefore, to maintain the fertility of the soil or nutrient availability for plant growth  land conservation efforts, both in biology and land terasering measures, should be done. Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the carbon stocks in various landcover systems primarily on the existing system of landuse on site. Measurement of carbon stocks performed on each character of landuse. Based on the results obtained by the identification of 15 classes of landuse. Furthermore, carbon stocks was measured at 15 points each landuse, those are, primary upland forest, secondary upland forest, bareland, residential, mining, farming, mixed farming upland shrub, bush, swamp shrub. The results showed that store carbon stock (C) of the primary forest 214.234558 Mg/ha, Swamp Forest 109.5401358 Mg/ha, secondary forest 76.398847 Mg/ha, plantation forest 52.24720899 Mg/ha , mixed garden 75.91800164 Mg/ha, palm oil 37.09233138 Mg/ha, settlement 39.759732 Mg/ha, wetlands store carbon stock by 2.75091684 Mg/ha, rice field 1.539459 Mg/ha, bush shrub 4.352907065 Mg/ha, bush shrub swamps 9.147026299 Mg/ha, and dry field 1.15919241 Mg/ha. Thus, there is the greatest total carbon storage on primary forest, continued with swamp forest and secondary forest. While the smallest total carbon stock storage found on the moor landuse. Abstract

The research aims to determine the amount of production, income levels, increased revenue and income differences between farmers who did and who did not side grafting. The results showed that the average number of production and the income of farmers who did side grafting is 1523.95 kg / ha / yr or Rp. 15,327,208 per hectare per year and that does not do side grafting is 943.96 kg / ha / yr or Rp. 7,693,224 per hectare per year. Increased revenue or profits cocoa farming by side grafting is always accompanied by the increase in the cost of production, but this increase (increased revenue and production costs) are still providing value added benefits high enough, that any increase in the cost of production of the rupiah gained additional farm profit of Rp. 2.14. The analysis also showed that income disparity is evident between farmers who side grafting (t-count = 6.49> t-table of 1% α = 2.36). As per the results, farmers need to plant cocoa rehabilitation through side grafting technique using superior clones. Keywords: Production, revenues, cocoa, side grafting

Abstract

This study was aimed to observe the effect of 1 minute immersion in boiling water, 5 minutes immersion in boiling water and 24 hours immersion in cold water against sengon seed germination, the germinating rate and the germinating value. While the benefits of this research is to provide information in the handling and germinating sengon seed optimally. The observed and calculated parameters in this study were numbers of germinating seeds for each treatments, germination rate of each treatment and the germination value of each treatment. This study resulted that the percentage of seed germination was best on sengon seed which soaked in cold water for 24 hours with a percentage of 99.25% and the lowest was seeds which not treated by 79%. Speed ​​of seed germination was highest on 5 minutes boiling water immersion treatment equal to 9.64 / day and the lowest found to be in 24 hours cold water immersion equal to 4.70 / day. The highest value found in the seed germination was 1 minutes boiling water immersion treatment which average 0.17% / day and the lowest found on the untreated seeds which average 0, 04% / day. Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal revenue from wood lamina that afforded by PT Samtraco produced are block Laminating, Finger Joins Laminating, Finger Joins Laminating Board, Solid, and Beams, to determine the output of the combination of business models so that the wood lamina production facilities can be used up. Location the study in the village of Loa Duri, the district of Sungai Kunjang Samarinda. Model I results the optimal gross opinion where U$ 1,217,250 in exchange U$1 equal to Rp 9.800 gross revenue of Rp 11,929,050,000 then the obtained value of the net income of Rp.1,252,550,250. Model II optimal value of the net income of U$ 1,240,000 gross revenue of Rp 12.152 billion, net income of Rp. 1.27596 billion. Model III optimal value of the net income Rp. 1.394932 billion. Based on the optimal revenue from each model, the raw material cost of timber production dominant of lamina wood which reached 57% in the model I, 59% in the model II, and 61% in the model III,  electricity and labor below 10%. Abstract

The research purpose were to know the factor model of furniture industry business optimization, to find out how much the maximum advantage of each business furniture industry, to know the rattan furniture products combination to reach maximum benefit, to find out how the production inputs (capacity) rest at the maximum revenue time, to know the rattan furniture value as well as price sensitivity and to know economic strategy supply in the furniture industry development. According to the research results shown that the maximum income (Z) Kaili Jaya Industry was Rp, 34,050,000, Sumber Rotan Tohiti Industry was Rp.19.650.000, Irma Jaya Industry was Rp.17.050.000, and Subur Industry was Rp.18.360.000. The maximum income Kaili Jaya Industry was achieved by combination seat snails 6 units, rocking chairs 21 units, bar chair 31 units, sampiran 8 units, car chair 1 unit, rice cover 20 units and fruit basket 5 units. The maximum income Sumber Rotan Tohiti Industry was achieved by combination the fan seat 3 units, dining seat 2 units, sofas 2 units and lounge 7 units chairs. The maximum income Irma Jaya Industry was achieved by combination mersi chair 6 units, recliner 2 units, rocking chair 5 units and sampiran 15 units. The maximum income Subur Indurtry was achieved by combination seat mersi 3 units, car seat 2 units, snails seat 5 units and fan seat 3 units.  The optimum production of Kaili Jaya Industry were 115 units, Sumber Rotan Tohiti industry 14 units, Irma Jaya industry 25 units and Subur Industry 13 units. The inventory production inputs remaining of Kaili Jaya Industry as glue and foam remained 0.75 and 5.50, Sumber Rotan Tohiti Industry used the optimum inventory, Irma Jaya Industry as rattan sticks and glue remained 4.33 and 1.45, Subur Industry policy and glue remained 17 and 0.75..The average limit of increase and decrease in value of inventories does not change the value of the addition of 1 unit profit Kaili Jaya Industrial supplies, Sumber Tohiti Rattan Industry, Irma Jaya Industry, and subur Industry 0.1% to 5%. Abstract

The aims of this research is to identify, classify and map landcover in Amandit Sub Sub Watershed using Landsat Imagery that acquared in 1992, 2000 and 2010, and analyzing landcover changes in Amandit Sub Sub Watershed in 1992-2000, 2000-2010 and 1992-2010 period. Furthermore, the data changes in landcover extracted by the method of stacking and overlapping pivot table analysis (cross tab). The results of the analysis of landcover changes clearly show that the Bushes and the moor are both landcover classes that experienced the greatest rate of change during the period 1992-2000-2010. Both of them contradictory, bush shrub widely experienced the greatest increasing, while the broad moor experienced the greatest reduction. Both landcover maps and landcover change matrix, also showed the emergence of two new types of landcover in 2010, those are the Plantation Forest and the Palm Oil. Throughout the forested areas, both Primary Forest, Secondary Forest, and Swamp Forest, experience a significant reduction in area. Forest except that the width increases. In total, the rate of deforestation in Amandit Sub Sub Watershed over a period of 18 years (1992-2010) is approximately 1519.88 hectares per year. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions and aspirations of the people against the plan of re-vegetation sample plots on mined lands, and explore local knowledge on revegetation techniques that have been developed by Mr. Madroji. The research was conducted in Dusun Beliaspa, Batang Banyu Village, Banjar Regency. Research time for 1 (one) month, the Moon in July 2011. Results showed respondents supported and approved the construction of plots of land revegetation of mined coal (72.73%) with land records remain the property of them, involve the community and institutional Farmers Group, the selection of useful and economically valuable. Pak Matroji local wisdom can be a reference in making plots, especially in the selection of candidates for the location and treatment with a hole circle (radius 50 cm) contains manure around the plant seeds are planted until the age of 3 years.
