Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to (1) determine the direct influence of economic conditions of the learning outcomes of students in SMK Murni 2 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012, (2) determine the direct influence of motivation on learning outcomes of students in SMK Murni 2 Surakarta in academic year 2011 / 2012, (3) determine the direct influence of learning style on learning outcomes of students in SMK Murni 2 Surakarta academic year 2011/2012, (4) determine the effect of indirect economic conditions of the learning outcomes of students with learning styles in SMK Murni 2 Surakarta in academic year 2011 / 2012, (5) determine the effect of indirect motivation on learning outcomes of students with learning styles in SMK Murni 2 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012. The results of this study were (1) there is a direct influence on the economic conditions of student learning outcomes, (2) there is a direct effect of motivation on learning outcomes, (3) there is a direct influence of learning style on learning outcomes, (4) there is an indirect effect of condition family income on student learning outcomes through learning styles, and (5) there is an indirect effect of motivation on learning outcomes through learning styles. Abstract

Abstract: This study describe to investigate : (1) the implementation of the program of On The Job Training to prepare the students of State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta to enter the world of work; (2) the constraints encountered in the implementation the program of On The Job Training at State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta; and (3) efforts taken to cope with the constraints in the implementation of the program of On The Job Training at State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta. This research used the descriptive qualitative research method. The results of the research are as follows: (1) the implementation of the program of On The Job Training at State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta has been in compliance with the prevailing procedures an can prepare its students majoring in the Office Administration particularly in the expertise competencies in terms of hard skills and soft skills to enter the world of work; (2) the constraints encountered in the implementation of the program are as follows: the students are not mentally ready to follow the program of On The Job Training, the advising teachers have a low frequency to visit the world of business and industry, (c) not all of the competencies can be done by the students, the theories accepted by the students in the class do not conform to the work practicum in the world of business and industry; and (3) the efforts taken to deal with the constraints are as follows: motivating the students, warning the advising teachers, implementing the rolling system at the work department, the advisors of the institutions give guidance to the students.   Keywords: implementation, the program of On The Job Training, students

Abstract

Abstract: Leadership Styles and Work Motivation Toward Employees Performance. The purpose of study are: investigating effect between leadership styles and work motivation toward employees performance. The type of study conducted by the researcher is quantitative research with descriptive method. Sampling technique is by using proportional random sampling technique. While the data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques are by using correlation and multiple regression analysis. Abstract

Abstract: The purposes of this study were to know the implementation of office supplies management of Rec-Cross (PMI) of Surakarta, the problems, and the solutions to overcome that problems. Used a qualitative approach, the result of research showed that PMI Surakarta implemented the functions of office supplies management to managed their supplies. But, in the practice, got problems with limited human resources and too many functions of warehouse and office management. The efforts to overcome those problems included : empowering the industry apprenticeship’s students and Household employees, coping with over functions by asking for help from other staff and by holding training concerning the instrument use and maintenance, coping with the narrow warehouse and its location in the same room with the office by utilizing the existing vertical room, coping with supply release that was not consistent with the predetermined method by guiding activity accurately and rechecking immediately the stock recording and supply, coping with Staff of Logistic and Inventory division who did not have time to rearrange the warehouse after supply releasing by empowering the industry apprenticeship’s students, coping with virus problem delayed data finding and making report by calling the officers to scan the virus, and coping with roof damage by temporarily solution by putting a rainwater container.   Keywords : analysis, supplies management, Red-Cross

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research are to investigate the compensation system applied by PT. Kusumahadi Santosa weaving department on production division, and also to investigate the role of compensation on improving work motivation. This research was descriptive study used qualitative approach. The kind of research used was case study with one-pile strategy. The sources of the data were got from the informants, places and events, and also documents and archives. The researcher used purposive sampling and snowball sampling technique. The techniques of collecting data were interview, observation and documentation. The validity of the data was trianggulation of sources and method. The technique of analyzing the data was interactive analysis where the data reduction, data presentation and the drawing of the conclusion were related one each other. The result shows that the compensation system applied by PT. Kusumahadi Santosa is good. Whereas, the implementation of this system is included the purpose of compensation, kinds of compensation, compensation methods, basic principle of compensation-given, and the factors influence the compensation-given. Beside, The role of compensation system applied by PT. Kusumahadi Santosa had been well and proper. It supports of employee’s motivation improvement.   Key words: role, employee compensation, work motivation

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research are to know application organization culture that there in Secretariat Legislative Assembly at Regency of Surakarta, constraint in application organization culture that declared in office Secretariat Legislative Assembly at Regency of Surakarta, and solution to grow up a good organization culture in office Secretariat Legislative Assembly at Regency of Surakarta. This research is qualitative research with descriptive method. Based on research we it can be concluded that: Application organization culture in Secretariat Legislative Assembly at Regency of Surakarta is polite attitude and must have job discipline and must professional. The problem in application organization culture in Secretariat Legislative Assembly at Regency of Surakarta is: (a) socialization process is not optimal, (b) a bad understanding about organization culture. Solution to solve problem an application organization culture in Secretariat Legislative Assembly at Regency of Surakarta is: (a) Often inform organization culture, (b) Giving the good understanding about organization culture.Keyword: Organization Culture, Secretariat Legislative Assembly

Abstract

Absract: The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) how Chief of Jebres Sub-district Office, Surakarta city plays his leadership role in growing the discipline behavior of its employees; (2) what constraints are encountered by Chief of Jebres Sub-district Office, Surakarta city in internalizing the discipline of its employees; and (3) what solutions are taken by Chief of Jebres Sub-district Office to deal with the prevailing constraints to the materialization of the discipline behavior of its employees. This research used the qualitative embedded single case study method. The results of the research are as follows: 1) Chief of Jebres Sub-district Office, Surakarta city plays his leadership role through the discipline behavior internalizations such as: (a) giving exemplification through discipline attitude; (b) giving motivation to the employees; (c) attempting to fulfill their needs and prosperity; and (d) implementing the discipline upholding consistently. 2) The constraints occurring in nurturing the discipline of the employees of Jebres Sub-district Office are as follows: (a) internal constraints: some employees bear the characters and personalities which are apathetic to advices, and some are lack of responsibilities in executing their duties and work and (b) external constraints: the external constraints occurring in internalizing the discipline of the employees of Jebres Sub-district Office are mainly related to the work environment. 3) The prevailing constraints occurring in internalizing the discipline of the employees are as follows: (a) upholding the prevailing laws and regulations and nurturing the employees; and (b) maintaining the communication and good relations among the employees.

Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) the direct effect of the work division on the employees’ work effectiveness; (2) the direct effect of the work motivation on the employees’ work effectiveness; (3) the direct effect of the cooperation ability on the employees’ work effectiveness; (4) the indirect effect of the work division on the employees’ work effectiveness through the cooperation ability; and (5) the indirect effect of the work motivation on the employees’ work effectiveness through the cooperation ability at the Limited Liability Company of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta in 2012. his research used the quantitative research method. The population of the research was all of the employees of the Limited Liability Company of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta in 2012. The samples of the research were 53 employees or 25% of the total number of employees of the company, and they were taken by using the proportional random sampling technique. The data of the research were gathered through questionnaire supported by documentation method. The data of the research were analyzed by using the path analysis with the computer program of SPSS 17. The results of the research are as follows: (1) there is a significant and positive direct effect of the work division on the employees’ work effectiveness as indicated by the value of ρ YX1 = beta = 0.356 with the probability (sig) = 0.003; (2) there is a positive and significant direct effect of the work motivation on the employees’ work effectiveness as shown by the value of ρ YX2 = beta = 0.342 with the probability (sig) = 0.003; (3) there is a positive and significant direct effect of the cooperation ability on the employees’ work effectiveness as pointed out by the value of ρ YX3 = beta = 0.240 with the probability (sig) = 0.046; (4) there is a positive and significant indirect effect of the work division on the employees’ work effectiveness through the cooperation ability as suggested by the value of ρ X3X1 . ρ YX3 = (0.308) . (0.240) = 0. 074; and (5) there is a positive and significant indirect effect of the work motivation on the employees’ work effectiveness through the cooperation ability as specified by the value of ρ X3X2 . ρ YX3 = (0.277) . Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) the effect of the motivation to achive on the learning achievement; (2) the effect of the learning facilities on the learning achievement; and (3) the simultaneus effect of the motivation to achive and the learning facilities on the learning achievement. This research used the descriptive quantitative research method. The population of the research was all of the XI class students of the office administration skill program of the state vocational high school 1 of Surakarta in the education and training year 2011/2012 as many as 75 students. The sample of the research consisted of 45 students or 60% out of the total number of population, and they were taken by using proportional random sampling technique. The data of the research were gathered by using questionnaire and documentation. They were then analyzed by using the multipel linear regression technique of analysis. The results of the research are as follows: (1) there is a significant and positive effect of the variable of the motivation to achive (X1) on the learning achievement; (2) there is a significant and positive effect of the variable of the learning facilities (X2) on the learning achievement; and (3) there is a simutaneusly significant and positive effect of the variable of the motivation to achive (X1) and that of the learning facilities (X2) on the learning (Y). The relative contribution of the motivation to achive (X1) on the learning achievement (Y) is 66.65%, and that of the learning facilities (X2) on the learning achievement (Y) is 33.34%. The effective contribution of the motivation to achive (X1) on the learning achievement (Y) is 48.05%, and that of the learning facilities (X2) on the learning achievement (Y) is 24.03%.

Abstract

 The weakness of leaders in Small and Medium Business (UKM) in Indonesia dealing with market oriented are the low motivation of entrepreneurs, the low of leader commitment to apply market orientedmethod in his organization, and lack of training for themselves (Suliyanto, 2011). This research aimed to develop the culture of market oriented throughout the learning of organization that be done by examining the effect of customers and competitorsoriented to the learning of organization.  Respondents of this research are 300 owners or managers of UKM in the Greater of Surakarta. The technique of sampling in this research is purposive sample who has two criteria; an Indonesian and at least has two employees. The technique of analysis was done by Structural Equation Model (SEM). The result of this research shows antecedent variable; entrepreneurs’ orientation, under-pressured of managers, training programs, and reward system has effect to customer orientation in Small and Medium Business (UKM).  Key words: customers oriented, competitors oriented, learning organizations
