Abstract

An organization is able to improve and maintain its quality by building a quality improvement system, and determining the quality standards. For satisfying industry requirements in providing human resources, technical education must continuously improve its quality. The need can be effectively achieved by appliying TQM and ISO 9000. TQM is a quality improvement system for meeting customer requirements, and ISO 9000 is an international certification for standards of design, production, instalation, and servicing

Abstract

The General Directorate of Higher Education had published the Guidelines of Instructional Program for Religious Education (GBPP Pendidikan Agama) 1997. Some aspects of the Guidelines need to be thought of and considered by the lecturers of Religious Education. The lecturers have to enrich their instructional programs with religious experiences offered to the students as an extracurricular activity. A contextual approach should be implemented to help the students solve their actual problems. The lecturers of subject matter with sufficient capabilities can be recruited to teach the Religious Education. Achievement evaluation should be designed to include the cognitive, affective and psychomotoric domains. The existing organization of religious lecturers can function as a forum for sharing information to solve instructional problems and to improve the lecturers performance

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to test the effects of plyometric program on the distance of ball kick of the students of Soccer School, IKIP Semarang. This research was carried out by applying an experimental method. Sixty persons were taken as sample through random sampling procedure from 72 students of the soccer school. To test the hypothesis, analysis of variance was used. The results indicated that there was no significant difference between the linear plyometric program and non-linear on the distance of ball kick. There was a clear interaction found between plyometric program and the level of movement speed on the distance of ball kick

Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to know the impact of double shift learning at Senior High School (SMU). The sample consisted of 8 SMUs in East Kalimantan selected purposively. Data were collected from students and teachers by a questionnaire, documentary study and interviews, and analyzed in percentage measures. The result showed that the teachers productivity was low. The students capability on morning shift was better than those on afternoon shift. The teachers and the students tended to resist the double shift system in their SMUs. There were many obstacles in school administration. The number of students in state SMUs was more than in private SMUs

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe the oral communication skill in the instructional context of primary school teachers of East Java. An evaluative-survey design was implemented in this study. The sample consisted of 120 teachers from four Karesidenans of East Java selected by area sampling. Data were gathered by observations and recording. The mean measures, analysis of variance and t-test were used to analyze the data. The results indicated that the oral communication skill in the instructional context of primary school teachers was unsatisfactory. In certain aspects there were differences in the level of the skill among subject matters and also between urban and rural teachers. The skill of urban teachers was higher than the skill of rural teachers

Abstract

This study was an effort to introduce mainstreaming in which regular schools were prepared to educate handicapped children. The study was conducted in 5 villages in Mojosongo, Boyolali. There were 19 primary schools with 4 special education teachers as itinerant teachers. It was found out that training in special education improved knowledge in special education and ability to identify handicapped children. A number of 202 handicapped children were identified (7.9% of the population). A number of 194 children received special education services in their regular classrooms. Of the 194 students, 110 of this promotion did not affect school ranks and repetition rates. Most teachers agreed that the gifted, slow learner, and learning disabled remain in the regular school with special services by special education teachers
