Abstract

Globalization era, characterized by a rapid growth in communication of information and transportation network all over the world, brings positive and negative effects. Those effects can be received by our adolescents or teenagers through sophisticated information media, either electronical media or printed media, and sophisticated transportation network as a consequence of the current growth of knowledge, technology, and arts. The adolescents have to be able to make their adjusments and dicisions properly. To do that, they can be prepared in applying the Observational Learning Modelling and Self Control Approach

Abstract

The major objective of educational activity is to prepare and help our generation to be adult persons. There are too many problems faced by educators, most of them are born from the absence of educators charisma. It is not esay to identify our educational problems properly, but we offer a phenomenological approach to be applied to find out the implicit phenomenon within or behind the explicit ones. In this approach, educational problems can be understood objectively by gramatical and historical interpretations, and subjectively by individual and generic interpretations. It is also offered a number of avtivities based on this phenomenological approach to find out the basic structure of educational problems

Abstract

This expost facto study was aimed at knowing the intensity of Subject Matter Teachers Convention (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran, MGMP) activities, frequency of training, degree of basic competence in instruction, and teaching performance of Senior High School (SMU) teachers. The study was carried out at State Senor High Schools (SMUs) in Malang municipality. The sample consisted of 104 out of 514 teachers from 9 SMUNs drawn randomly. Data were gathered by administering a questionnaire and then analyzed statistically by applying the path analysis. The result showed that teaching performance was influenced directly by intensity of MGMP activities and degree of basic competence in instruction, and indirectly by frequency of training

Abstract

This research was designed to identify cooperations implemented by Secondary School of Technology (STM) and industrial enterprises and to explore problems faced in the cooperation. In this cross sectional survey, the sample consisted of 10 out of 21 Secondary Schools of Technology (STM) implementing dual system of education in East Java. Data were collected by a questionnaire and interviews and then analyzed statistically in percentage measures. It was concluded that the planning of cooperations in the dual system of education included administrative, academic, and curricular aspects. In general, implementation of the planning was good enough, but there were so many problems faced by those participated in the dual system of education

Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to describe the implementation of learning-teaching activities in Economics and Accounting based on The 1994 Curriculum (Kurikulum 1994). The sample consisted of 12 Senior High Schools (SMUs) in East Kalimantan drawn purposively. Data were collected from students and teachers of Economics and Accounting by using a questionnaire, documentary technique and interviews, and analyzed in percentage measures. It was concluded that the implementation of learning-teaching activities based on The 1994 Curriculum was supposed to be difficult and that there weremany problems faced by students and teachers in the implementation

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to describe variations of imperative sentences used by teachers in learning-teaching interactions. Applying a descriptive qualitative design, the study involved Bahasa Indonesia teachers in SMP 13 Malang. By nonparticipant observations, data were recorded, selected, identified and classified for a final conclusion. The result revealed that there were many variations of imperative sentences used by the teachers in their learning-teaching interactions. The calssification of variations could be based on linguistic indicators, delivery strategies, and content of massages
