Abstract

Roads Blangkejeren - Laweaunan is a one-lane road transport in the Province ofNanggroe Aceh Darussalam, which has an altitude slopes varying between 3.5 to 4.3 m. Earthquakes, rainfall and altitude slopes greatly affect the stability of the slopes on theseroads. The stability analysis aims to obtain a slope stability conditions that meet safety requirements at Jalan Blangkejeren - Laweaunan Gayo Lues District of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Slope stability design using the simplified Bishop method and Plaxissoftware. The use of these methods has given the ease and accuracy in solving the problem of stability of the slope to meet the security requirements of slope stability. Based on the analysis of the simplified Bishop method and Plaxis at Jalan Blangkejeren - Laweaunan STA. 03 + 650, STA. 03 + 700, and STA. 03 + 750 which has a slope of each 63,4°(1H: 2V) concluded that the slope is not safe, so it needs a change of slope. After the change of slope on the slopes of the results showed that the slope of 30°-24°, the slope of qualified safety with a safety factor (STA. 03 + 650), from 1.299 to 1.468 (STA. 03 + 700) from 1.346 to 1.515 (STA. 03 + 750). Based on the results of the slope stability analysis obtained slope collapse semicircular arc (rotational sliding). The slope stability are qualified security that permitted > 1 as recommended by Abramson (1996)

Abstract

Scheduling is one of the first steps undertaken by project owners and contractors before executing the project. In this planning, one of the factors that greatly affect the project schedule is weather, especially rainfall. High rainfall could potentially lead to disaster and construction projects carried out in an open environment is very sensitive to the influence of the weather. This study aimed to predict/forecast the pattern of rainy days that will generate working days calendar. The methodology of the study was conducted by collecting historical data of rainfall and the time schedule of the project. Forecasting of rainydays pattern was done with Markov chain theory and Monte Carlo simulation. Forecasting results show that the pattern of rainy days in February and December are the month with the lowest availability of working days. While March and Mayare the month that has the highest availability of working days. The level of availability of working days in a year is 88.8%, thus the forecasting results can be used for project scheduling. The forecasting programs will be integrated within the development of framework in forecasting rainy days of construction project scheduling models that effected by raining.

Abstract

Realignment of Banda Aceh devastated by the tsunami has put forward the concept of disaster mitigation. As the city is aware of the disaster, the availability of disaster risk map is an essential requirement in developing sustainable development and disaster mitigation based. This research aims to generate a map of tsunami risk assessment by loading element of threat,  vulnerability, capacity using spatial data and information in the region of Banda Aceh. Risk analysis is conducted using a  semi-quantitative weighting factors and the index values arebased on the analysis conducted by BNPB and TDMRC-Unsyiah. Mapping analysis is conducted by overlaying layer(overlay) and vector-based GIS grid. Based on the results of the analysis show that the risk areas with low-to-high tsunami consists of 73 villages high with an area of each is 6.05 km2 (10%). 20.66 km2 (35%) and 16.23 km2. The area is not an area of 17.02 km2 risk or 28% of the total area of the city of Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Suzuya Mall Banda Aceh is one of the shopping center in the city of Banda Aceh. This mall is located onJln. Teuku Umar street. Daily activities of community cause the increasing of trip, including the attraction trip to this mall. However, the availabililty of parking space can not be accommodated by the mall, especially during the peak hours. The purpose of this study are to analyze the characteristics, capacity and demand parking of Suzuya mall.The results analysis of this study are showed: for motorcycles, peak hour vehicle arrival is on Saturday 20.00-21.00 pm at 285 veh/h with a volume of 1751 veh/day. The average length of the highest parking on Sundays at 0.96 h/veh. The highest accumulation on Sunday of 219 veh between 16:00-17:00 pm. The highest parking capacity on Thursday by 517 Unit Parking Space.

Abstract

The success of a construction project is determined by a number of factors. One of the factors that play a direct role is a job  productivity. Productivity can be expressed as the ability to complete a job within a certain time. The productivity is directly determined by the amount of the volume of work, the amount of labor/equipment, and implementation time. The larger the value of productivity, the greater the chance of a job can be completed by the target date. Therefor, this study aimed to assess the value of productivity on the bored pile foundation work. The study was conducted at the Project Tanjung Priok Access Road Construction Project (Phase I) Package 2, Section E-2, Cilincing - Jampea, North Jakarta. The study was  initiated with field observations, by observing the completion of all stages of the process, andshall record the amount of labor / equipment and the turnaround time at each stage of thework. The volume of work is analyzed based on the design drawings. Productivity values for each phase of implementation of the work are: 1) the work of pre boring 46.71 m³/hr; 2) installation of casing 115.69 m/hr; 3) drilling by bucket 9.74 m³/hr; 4) ry by the bucket 81.70 m³/hr; 5) Cleaning by airlift 10.81 m³/hr; 6) test Koden 313.05 m/hr; 7) nstallation of rebar30.37 m/hr; 8) tremie pipe fitting 88.11 m/hr; and 9) casting concrete 89.56 m³/hr. Overall, the value of bored pile foundation work productivity is 3.14 m³/hr.

Abstract

pplication of axial load on the steel angle can be found at the various structures. One of this structures is bridge and transmission tower. At the application, steel angle which accomodated axial load can be sured having eccentricity. This condition is caused by load position that lies not in center of gravity. But in practice, this eccentricity effect is often ignored and angle steel section is always designed due to axial load. This researsch is carried out to observe steel angle L.30.30.3 behavior that accomodated axial compression load and varied according to their length : 63 cm, 83 cm, 103 cm. In addition, eccentricity effects were also considered as in actual condition. At the first, compression member together with tension member was formed to be truss structure. Experimental work was carried out by giving tension load on the loading plate until compression member achieved its failure. Experimental work results showed that maximum ultimate load capacity

Abstract

Since 1981, Indian geotechnical expert have been introduced shear strength of soil is cone index (CI). Recently, common existing shear strength index in soil mechanic studies such as N-SPT, qc-CPT.However, the cone index (CI) parameter till in this time not yet been made by standard of the testing of soil sample in the soil mechanics laboratory. Pursuant to this problem, we have correlated cone index (CI) with unconfined compression strength (qu). The research used two  measurement are unconfined compression and penetration ofcone bar silinder into soil sample. Diameter cone bar penetration is 0.5 cm, high 7 cm and cone angle part of 60 degree. The soil samples for research from Indrapuri sub district, Aceh Besar. For strength variation soil sample mixed cement with content 0%, 3%, 6% and 9% with waiting periode of samples 0, 2 and 4 days. The results of research showed good and strong correlation between cone index (CI) and unconfined compression strength (qu). Parameters with R2 80% from linear comparison.

Abstract

The existence of Montara river is very crucial because it is the main source of irigation in Lhoong Subdistrict.  One of concerns that worhtly can be discussed in Montara river is the level of soil erotion. Erotion and sedimentaion study are done on July through August for a month or 10 days of rain (thoose that reached the first will be selected) he calculation of erotion used the USLE equation, while study about sediment in Krueng Montara Basin is narrowed only for suspended load. The results of this study are the amount of land erotion and the suspended load discharge in some rainfalls, the correlation between both of them is determined into some  regression models namely linear regression, power regression and exponential regression. The result shows that the power regression model is  the best model of all which has a formula as Qs = 6,7953 A1,8791 with R² = 0,8786 or 87 % and close to 1, it means this model can be used to predict the suspended load discharge by knowing the amount of land erossion and also the reverse. Besides using regression model, the relationship between land erossion (A) and  suspended load (Qs) s determined by calculating the suspended load ratio. Based on calculation, the average ratio of suspend load (Qs) in Krueng Montara basin is 0,00233.

Abstract

Tender stage is a process to be appointed  contractor for construction project implementation. Bidding method is used by sistem gugur that divided into administration, technic and prices evaluation. The purposed of research is to identify dominan factors that influence to contractor selection between 2010 until 2013 at Banda Aceh. Data is collected from contractor who is in charges likes Project Manager, Engineer and ULP as a parties from owner to selecting contractor. Dominan factor variabel is measure by Linkert scale and Guttman scale also to measured relationship each factors in deciced variable. Data is showedcontractor fail the bid because administration evaluation 13,25%, technich evaluation 8,55%, price evaluation 7,69% and cancel of bid 70,79%. Reability test result is cornbach alpha0,8032<0,6. Dominan factor is rated from organisation factor such as communication, documentation and coordination 95,83%, human resources 81,11%, financial factor 80,37%,machinery and tools 74,81% and experiences factor 56,67%. This research result can be input to the parties are involved to be tender stage implementation.

Abstract

Bearing capacity of the soil and the foundation has a close link with the level of safety to the occupants of a building. A foundation design said to be true if the load transmitted by the foundation to the ground does not exceed the power of the land concerned.If the soil strength is exceeded, then a decrease (settlement) excessive or collapse of land will occur, causing damage to the construction which is above the foundation. This research aimsto obtain the value of the soil bearing capacity of shallow foundations in several areas of Aceh Besar, and used as a mapping using ArcGIS 9.2 software. Secondary data used is Cone Penetration Test (CPT) ere obtained from the Laboratory of Soil Mechanics Faculty of Engineering, University of Syiah Kuala. Number of points CPT or sondir is 34 points.  Furthermore, to determine the location of these points in the field using GPS (Global Positioning System). The result shows that most of the area in the study area has a bearing capacity of the land is permitted < 50 ton / m2. The area has bearing capacity permits between 50 ton/m2 to 100 ton/m2 occupied area Siem, Cot Gue, Bilui, Adjunct, Baet, Mon Ikeun,Lamkruet, and Lhoknga. Furthermore, the results of the bearing capacity of land used as a mapping so that it becomes a reference in planning the foundation of a building or otherinfrastructure in the region of Aceh Besar.
