Abstract

Modern lifesytle affects the increasing food and beverage industry. People spend their time at cafe, restaurant, or coffee shop to interact with other people. Consumers are faced with many choices of cafe, restaurant, and coffee shop nowadays. However, people may choose one specific cafe, restaurant, or coffee shop based on perception toward well-being. In otherwords, consumer well-being (CWB) refers to the extent to which a particular consumer good or service creates an overall perception of the quality-of-life impact of that product. This research applied a model which was developed by Sirgy and Grzeskowiak (2007) to predict consumer well- being. The model was tested among 265 respondents. Structural equation modeling was applied to analyze the data. The results indicated that CWB was significantly predicted brandcommunity belongingness, and the effect of brand loyalty on CWB was moderated by selfimage congruence.Keywords: consumer well-being, consumer satisfaction, self-image, brand-community belongingness

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of empowering leadership on employee performance, empowering leadership on psychological empowerment, empowerment influence of role identity to strengthen the relationship between empowering leadership and psychological empowerment, psychological empowerment influences on creative engagement process, the influence of psychological empowerment on intristic motivation, leader influence encouragement of creativity in strengthening the relationship between psychological empowerment and creativeengagement process, the influence of the creative process on the performance of employee engagement, motivation intristic influence on employee performance. Population of this study are all employees of Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital. Samples method conducted by proportional sampling technique. Then the analytical techniques used Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the hypothesis of this study can be concluded that: 1) Empowering leadership have positive and significant effect on employees performance, 2) Empowering leadership have positive effect but no significant effect on psychological empowerment, 3) Empowerment role identity significantly strengthen the positive relationship between empowering leadership andpsychological empowerment., 4) Psychological empowerment have positive influence but not significant to creative process engagement, 5) Psychological empowerment have positive and significant effect on instrinsic motivation., 6) Encouragement of creativity leader reinforces a significant positive effect between psychological empowerment and creative engagement process, 7) Creative process engagement have positive effect but not significant to employees performance, 8) Intrinsic motivation have positive and significant effect on employees performance.Keywords : Empowering leadership, empowerment role identity, leader encouragement of creativity, psychological empowerment, creative process engagement, intrinsicmotivation, kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to investigate the effect of perception’s service quality, and priceon satisfaction and customer’s loyalty at Shariah life insurance in Central Java Province. Thepopulation are Shariah life insurance staff The respondents are chosen by using accidentalsampling techniques. The data collected from 140 respondents and analysed by statisticaltool of structural equation modeling (SEM). The result showed that : First, perception of servicequality produced a positive significant impact on satisfaction. Second, satisfaction waspositive and significantly associated with customer’s loyalty. Third, the service quality was directlyrelated to customer’s loyalty, but the effect of service quality on customer’s loyalty morethan satisfaction as intervening variable with estimate value 0,767 if compared the directlyrelated service quality on loyalty, with value 0,277 Theoretical found that the conventionalServQual is a part from Shariah insurance study, the Shariah insurance as an alternative forcustomer will be faithful to the religion norm in accordance with Shariah principles. The empiricalfound that as Shariah insurance customers, the customers have already executed thereligion norm in accordance with Al.Quran at An-Nisa:9. Studies found that the society’s Interestto buy Shariah life insurance policy and the insurance commitment to the risk protectingare low, finally the society commitment toward life insurance decreases.Key words : Service Quality/Khidmah, with The Syar’I Satisfaction/Qona’ah and Customer’sLoyalty/Al-wala’

Abstract

This research examines a cognitive-affective-conative baseline model which proposed by Chiouet al. (2002). According to the model, perceived service quality (both tangible company-relatedand employee-related factors) is modeled antecedent to satisfaction and trust, which in turn areantecedents to customer loyalty responses (word of mouth and traditional loyalty). The sampleof this research was 233 students. Respondents were collected by using purposive samplingtechnique. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the data. The results showthat all research hypoteses were supported. This paper also provides the implications for theoreticaland managerial and offers directions for future research.Key words: service quality, loyalty, word-of-mouth

Abstract

This study was conducted to test the hypothesis, with the intention of confirming or strengthening the hypothesis that in turn can reinforce theories that became the foundation. In this regard, researchers tried to examine the effect of tenure, compensation and competencies to job satisfaction and the unconstant teachers performance in Junior High Schools Lambandia. Population and sample in this study is the overall unconstant teachers in Junior High Schools Lambandia totaling 75 people. The study was conducted by survey method by distributing koesioner to the respondents. Statistical tool used is multiple regression, the data were analyzed further using smartPLS application. Analysis of the results showed that: (1) Tenurehas a negative and no significant effect on job satisfaction, (2) Compensation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, (3) Competence has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, (4) affect job satisfaction positive and significant impact on performance (5) Tenure has a positive and no significant effect on performance, (6) Compensation has a negative and no significant effect on performance, (7) Competence has a positive and significant effect on performance.Keywords : Tenure, Compensation, Competence, Job Satisfaction and Unconstant Teacher Performance

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to analyze timelines of financial statement reporting andfinancial performance in Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). Samples in this study are IDXpublic companies listed in 1999-2005. The research questions are tested by running ANOVAto analyze whether any differences in timelines of financial statement reporting and financialperformance between years and between size and also independent t test to analyze whetherany differences in timelines of financial statement and financial performance between industry.Timelines (KW) proxied by dummy variable, 1 if companies published financial reportingbefore 120 days after December 31 and 0 otherwise. Financial performance proxied bySales, Asset, Earning After Tax (EAT), Return on Investment (ROI), Return on Equity (ROE),and Sales Growth. The results of between year comparisons show that there are differences(increasing) between years for EAT, ROI and KW. These suggest that firm performance andtimelines of financial statement reporting are increasing over time. The results of betweensize comparisons show that there are differences between size for EAT, Sales and KW. Thebigger the size, the higher the financial performance and the timelines. The results of betweenindustry comparisons show that there are differences for Asset and EAT. Base on these variables,financial performance in service industry higher than manufacture industry.Keywords : Timelines, Financial Performance

Abstract

Management accounting information plays in helping to predict the possible consequences of various alternative actions can be performed on a variety of activities such as planning, controlling and decision making. The existence of management accounting information will also enhance the ability of managers to understand the state of the environment and work well inidentifying the relevant activity. The purpose of this study was to examine the Environmental Uncertainty and Decentralization Of Relationship Characteristics of Accounting Information and Managerial Performance. This study is an empirical study with convenience sampling technique in data collection. The population in this study is the operations manager, production, marketing and manufacturing company in Semarang regency. Based on sampling data obtained by 80 respondents. The analytical method used was Moderating Regression Analysis. The results of this study is the broad scope of interaction with the environment uncertainty, aggregation andinteraction with the environment uncertainty is shown to be positively related to managerial performance, and timeliness of interaction with the environment uncertainty, interaction uncertainty integration with the environment proved to be positively related to managerial performance. While the interaction with the broad scope of decentralization, the interaction with the timeliness of decentralization, integration with decentralized interaction proved a positive influence on managerial performance, and interaction with the aggregation of decentralization has not been proven positive effect on managerial performance.Keywords: Broad Scope, Timeliness, Aggregation, integration, environmental uncertainty, decentralization, and Managerial Performance.

Abstract

In the business world, competition is difficult to avoid. With the competition, the company will provide a better quality of the product or provide a cheaper price to attract more consumers. Through a competitive advantage, the company will be able to maintain continuity of production and develop the business to a larger scale. Therefore, this research tries to exam how to improve marketing performance through the optimization of competitive advantage . The predicted factors are: innovation, entrepreneurial orientation. Data about those variables was collected by conducting interviews with questionnaire to 46 respondents of SMEs. The data then were being analyzed using Interverning Regresion Method. The results of this research show thatall variables (innovation, entrepreneurial orientation.), have a positive impact on competitive advantage and marketing performance, while entrepreneurial orientation., has the biggest direct effect on the marketing performance. The result shows that while marketing performance as the dependent variable, ajusted R Square of 86.7%, while the remaining 13.3% explained by other variables not examined in this model. Then the competitive advantage as the dependent variable, ajusted R Square of 72.4%, while the remaining 27.6% explained by other variables not examined in this modelKeywords : competitive advantage, innovation, entrepreneurial orientation, marketingperformance.

Abstract

This research has two objectives. The first objective is to analyze the impact of seven fundamentalfactors (Dividend Payout, asset growth, leverage, liquidity, asset size, earnings variability,accounting beta) to the bussiness risk. Bussiness risk are measured by using SingleIndex Model (Beta) and four lag and four lead Fowler and Rorke Method (Corrected Beta).The sample was taken by using purposive sampling method. the taken sample consist of 37companies. The research period devide in two sub period : before crisis Period (1992 up to1996) and after crisis period (1997 up to 2001). The research result show that from the sevenfactors assumed to influence on beta, there are four factors which partially show positive influencein before crisis period : Dividend Payout, liquidity, asset size, earnings variability, andthere are six factors : Dividend Payout, asset growth, leverage, liquidity, asset size, accountingbeta in after crisis period. The other result show that from seven factors assumed to influenceon the corrected beta, there are five factors which partially show positive influence inbefore crisis period : Dividend Payout, asset growth, liquidity, asset size, earnings variabilityon before crisis period, and Five factors too: Dividend Payout, leverage, liquidity, asset size,accounting beta in after crisis period. The result on the Chow test indicated that the effect offundamental factor on bussiness risk are significantly different between before crisis periodand after crisis period.Keywords : Dividend Payout, Asset Growth, Leverage, Liquidity, Single Index Model

Abstract

This research aims to know how the owners of Small Medium Enterprise (SME) develop theirinnovation capacity. Besides that, are there impact of differentiaton in developing innovationcapacity to SME’s operational performance.To answer that questions descriptive statistics was used to explain the first question, and thenwe used ANOVA analysis to answer the second question. Sample in this research is the owneror manager of SME. Using purposive random sampling, we got 100 SME.The result of descriptive statistics show there are 6 design indeveloping innovation capacity andthe differentiation of them have no impact to SME’s operational performance.Keywords : kapabilitas inovasi, kinerja operasional
