Manajemen IKM merupakan Jurnal Pengembangan Manajemen Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Industri Kecil Menengah (MPI) Sekolah Pascasarjana IPB sejak September 2006, memuat kegiatan dunia usaha kecil menengah (UKM), khususnya IKM beserta instansi yang terkait seperti perbankan, departemen teknis dan usaha swasta besar dan petani/nelayan. Manajemen IKM terbit setiap 6 bulan sekali (Februari dan September) dan ditujukan sebagai wadah untuk mengkomunikasikan hasil-hasil penelitian dari kajian tugas akhir mahasiswa MPI, khususnya yang terkait dengan pembinaan dan pengembangan IKM. Namun demikian, tulisan yang diterima Manajemen IKM terbuka bagi berbagai kalangan yang memiliki ketertarikan dalam pembinaan dan pengembangan IKM, baik itu peneliti, penyuluh, maupun pengusaha. Dengan diterbitkannya jurnal ini, maka kedepannya diharapkan lebih dipahami potensi, kendala dan pengembangan IKM melalui pendekatan holistik dan sinergi yang dilihat dari faktor-faktor ekonomi, manajerial dan faktor-faktor lainnya seperti kemitraan. Perintisan jurnal sebagai berkala ilmiah berwawasan nasional dimulai sejak Februari 2006 dengan nama Jurnal MPI dengan No. ISSN 1907-3127 yang memuat 9 judul artikel pada setiap edisi. Mulai terbitan edisi September 2009, judulnya dirubah menjadi Jurnal Manajemen IKM dengan No. ISSN 2085-8418. Jurnal Manajemen IKM selama ini mampu menjadi sarana penyebarluasan informasi ilmiah kepada para dosen atau peneliti lainnya, maupun masyarakat pengguna, serta sarana pengembangan.

Abstract

Industri perbankan sangat erat kaitannya dengan kepercayaan, dimana pelayanan pelanggan sebagai keberhasilan. Pelanggan merupakan kunci bank untuk bertahan dalam menghadapi persaingan saat ini. Tujuan kajian ini menjelaskan kepuasan pelanggan dipengaruhi oleh produk perbankan dan mutu pelayanan PT BNI KCU Jakarta yang berimplikasi terhadap kinerja perbankan. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, Customer Satisfaction Analysis (CSI), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) dan regresi linear berganda. Berdasarkan CSI, tingkat rataan nilai kepuasan, mutu dan pelayanan berada pada tingkat kepuasan, maka berarti pelanggan puas dengan kinerja pelayanan PT BNI KCU Jakarta. Dari IPA, mutu rataan layanan 4,041 menunjukkan mutu pelayanan (reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy dan tangible) memuaskan, sementara nilainya 4,3605 maka atribut tersebut penting bagi pelanggan. Koefisien determinasi dari analiais regresi linear berganda (adjusted R square) 0,653 atau kepuasan pelanggan 65,3% dapat dijelaskan oleh produk perbankan dan mutu pelayanan, serta sisanya (34,7%) disebabkan oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti.

Abstract

This study conducted to formulate a possible scenario in the future (prospective strategic). The scenario is based on conditions that may occur in the future toward on the key factors that influence the development of banana chips industry in Bandarlampung. This study aimed to: (1) identify the factors that influence the development of banana chips Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) industry in Bandarlampung, and (2) determine the formulation of banana chips SME development strategy in Bandarlampung, and (3) determine the operational recommendations for the development of banana chips SMEs in Bandarlampung. The analysis tool is the Prospective Analysis to predict the possibilities that occur in the future and prepare a strategic action needs to be done and see if changes are needed in the future. The studied showed that the critical success factors of banana chips business development in order to increase market share and become a superior product in Bandarlampung are (1) technical capability, (2) managerial skills, (3) access to information, (4) the production process, and (5) availability of raw materials. Formulation of enterprise development strategies carried out by combining the results of stakeholder analysis and a prospective analysis, to generate an optimistic scenario for the development of banana chips in Bandarlampung. Operational recommendations for the development of banana chips in Bandarlampung prepared using a prospective analysis: (1) increase the technical ability of entrepreneur, (2) increase the managerial skills, (3) increased access to information, (4) modern processes for production, and (5) increasing the availability of raw materials.

Abstract

The agricultural potential in Indonesia still becomes the excellence because Indonesia is the agrarian country. The role of agricultural sector in the national economy is empirically proven to be real enough both in quite normal economy and when the economy facing the crisis. This is seen from two important indicators i.e. the contribution to the sector of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and the labor absorption that always dominates in the agricultural field.This is caused by the lack of competence of farmer to be able to develop in the agricultural sector. With this is needed the farmer competence in forming the farming capacity building so the farmer can play the role in the community and can compete in the current globalization era. Based on the above problem, the research aims to: (1) analyze how the competence is owned by the farmer in Sumatera, (2) obtain the picture of farmer superior competence model in Sumatera to form the capacity building of highland vegetable farmer, and (3) give any solution which should be done in order to be able to increase the farmer competence in Sumatera. In this research, for analyzing the farmer superior competence and the making of superior competence model in forming the capacity building of highland vegetable farming in Karo District, it is used the ISM, AHP, and IPA.

Abstract

Internal Control System (ICS) is a consolidated management concerning the effort to certify organic products.  Due to its collective mechanism, farmers are able to manage its agribusiness more profitably financially.  The purpose of this study was (1) to analyze the differences in income levels of farmer groups who are certified organic and non-certified organic, (2) to get an overview of the implementation of ICS in farmers group Gapoktan Simpatik, and (3) to analyze the perceptions of group members towards the implementation of ICS either certified or non-certified organic.  This research was on a case study at upper stream of Cideres and Cigunungjaga watershed in the district of Sukahening, Tasikmalaya, which is a member of Gapoktan Simpatik.  The analysis was performed using the R/C ratio, homogeneity analysis of data by income level using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov, analysis of income differences between the two groups of independent farmers using the Mann-Whitney test, and biplot analysis for the analysis of perceptions of group members toward ICS implementation variables.  The results showed that the R/C ratio for the certified group was 1.77, and for non-certified group 1.53. The average income level of certified group was Rp19,394,800/ha/year, while the non-certified  Rp12,728,940/ ha/year.  The results also showed that perception toward ICS implementation of certified group  was better than the non-certified.  Most of the certified group respondent approached the vector of all variables, which means that they were satisfied and familiar with all the variables, while the group of respondents who were non-certified did not approach the vector.  The parameters that were widely varied by respondent group responses were the certified variable of purchase, handling, processing, and export, while the most uniform response variables of the respondents were variable of organizational and ICS personnel.  While the groups that were not certified provided a variety of assessment on the variables of risk management and uniform assessment on external inspection and certification.

Abstract

The one commodity that is highly prospective for cultivated on an industrial scale and households are catfish (Clarias sp.). The purpose of this study was (1) analyze the feasibility of catfish farming in dry land in the district of Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta Province, (2) analyze the potential of catfish farming in ponds tarp on dry land, (3) develop alternative business development in the district of Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta Province. The method used in this thesis is descriptive method that focuses on technical aspects and business cultivation, as well as a SWOT analysis. Based on the feasibility analysis has a promising prospect and deserves to be developed. To maximize revenue catfish farmers, a combination of strategies SO, WO Strategies and strategy ST is an appropriate strategy to be chosen by farmers to improve their business. Increase the number and extent of ponds and develop farming, applying methods of maintenance and cultivation of good, as well as expand market coverage ranging from individual consumers, restaurants and traditional markets to restaurants to modern markets to improve capital efficiency and increase profits for farmers catfish on dry land in the district of Gunung Kidul.

Abstract

Fish as a natural resource has a very high potential as a source of foreign exchange and income. Arrest of the proper techniques of some fish species will provide optimal benefits. The objective of this study is to analyze the financial feasibility of tuna fishing of PT Serena Marine in area of North Sulawesi Sea. Through certain assumptions and calculations of financial feasibility with present value concept (NPV, BCR and IRR) and profitability ratios such as ROA, ROI and ROE, also break-even point, and payback period. The result showed that, this business activity will be feasible and profitable. The results show that based on those profitability indicators were above 1%, NPV calculated is positive, BCR is 1.62 or > 1 while IRR is 46 % and greater than discounted interest rate using in this financial analysis, Payback period will be achieved on the year 25thmonths or after 2 years of operations. It shows the activity of tuna fishing by PT Serena Marine, is feasible in financial aspect.

Abstract

Potential weaving industry nationally as one of the SMEs so far have not unearthed the maximum due to the development of production management systems. Therefor,  PT Retota Sakti has prompted company management to enhance the creative abilities tenunnya always accompanied by the application of more precise marketing strategies that correspond with the development of competition situation that occurred in the weaving industry. The purpose of this study was (1) Identify and evaluate the position of Marketing PT Retota Way by internal and external factors, and (2) Develop appropriate marketing strategies in developing future business. Analyzed in a descriptive study to emphasize the aspect of marketing, covering demand products to meet market needs; offer, which gives an overview about the availability of products in the process of cultivation and the balance of factors between demand and supply prices. To examine the marketing strategies carried out by quantitative SWOT analysis. The results of factor identification strategy, there are five key factors of internal strengths and weaknesses of four key factors. While the external environment there are five key factors of opportunities and threats of five factors. IFE values ​​2.842 and 2.530 EFE value, and also the combination of these two values ​​in the matrix IE indicates that the marketing strategy lies in the quadrant of five, namely the growth and stability, where the strategies that can run the market penetration, product development and market. QSP matrix analysis results obtained with the most attractive strategy to be implemented is to increase production capacity.

Abstract

Flood of salt imports from the country four season to meet consumption needs and the needs of industry to Indonesia make the price of salt is low. Surprisingly rich tropical sea water and sunlight with the fourth longest coastline in the worlds, but in 2010 national production of only 30,600 tons of salt or less than 1% of national demand,  because the harvest in a number of production centers 1.000-7.000 tons. Ponds area and one of the factors that influence the production of salt is an integral part of the performance of producing salt as salt producers nationwide. Business performance on a salt farmer folk analyzed the influence of the land area of ​​salt ponds on productivity, quality and financial performance by analysis of variance (Anova), for quality is conducted lab tests and analysis of financial performance using the calculation of revenue, R/C ratio and B/C ratio. The analysis showed no real productivity diversity. Salinity of sea water highest diversity in the people who produce the salt flats with an area of ​​0.23 acres of land with an average 4,576,666.67, the lowest score in the group of farmers with vast salt flat 0.85 acres of land with an average 1.6775 million. The analysis showed no real income diversity. R / C ratio and B/C ratio is generated providing the highest value in the group of people who produce salt area of ​​0.23 hectares with an average 10.1533, the lowest in the group of salt peasants with land area of 0.85 acres with a mean average of 3.2367. Effect of salt ponds land productivity, quality and financial performance analysis of variance analysis showed no significant difference, then the peoples business performance by producing salt undervalued and needs to be increased by salt farmers.

Abstract

Although the footwear industry is one sector of the small and medium industries which supported by the government, but the development of the industry is still relatively low. Various government policies have been made related to export and import settings, however the policies do not seem to provide significant benefits to the national development of the footwear industry. The condition is further exacerbated by the implementation of CAFTA (China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement) in Indonesia.  The lack of preparedness of local industry in the face of Chinese products in the country is feared to suppress the competitiveness of local products become increasingly weak. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the development efforts of small and household footwear industries and to analyze the effect of CAFTA on the sustainability of small and household footwear industries. The research was conducted in Bogor (district  and city) which is a center of footwear industry in Indonesia. The respondent of the study consists of the leading small and household industries   taken by purposive sampling with 100 respondents. Data were analyzed using the statistical descripitive and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Based on SEM analysis, the results indicate that efforts to develop small and household footwear industries directly affected by motivation efforts of the entrepreneurs in this industry and the government policies that facilitate the entrepreneurs in this industry.  Increasing the development of business sustainability is also directly influenced by the characteristics of the entrepreneurs who are able to optimize productivity and the CAFTA implementation which is responded by good competitiveness from the local industry.

Abstract

Activities of tourist visit provide opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to stand, making the city of Bogor as one of the city that has an increasing number of SME’s. Failure to exploit the potential of the center to develop its organization and social capital owned SME’s indicate that SME’s still face problems of low quality human resources. SME’s mostly poorly educated human resources with technical expertise, competence, entrepreneurship and management are modest. On the other hand the knowledge inherent in members of an organization need to be updated and transferred to still have a value that is integrated with the vision and mission of the organization. On the basis of need, there is a knowledge management approach known as knowledge management.This study aims to (1) analyze the characteristics of social capital owned SME’s organizations Bogor, (2) analyze the characteristics of knowledge management in Bogor SME’s organization, (3) analyze the contribution and role of social capital on organizational knowledge management implementation, (4) analyze the relationship between social capital variables with the variables of organizational knowledge management practices of SME’s Bogor. This study used structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis.
