Jurnal Manajemen dan Organisasi didedikasikan untuk menumbuhkan kreasi pertukaran ide antara akademisi, kalangan industri atau bisnis praktis, dan institusi pemerintah dalam bidang manajemen dan organisasi. Jurnal ini diterbitkan tiga kali dalam setahun, yaitu bulan April, Agustus, dan Desember. Artikel yang dimuat dalam jurnal ini mengedepankan analisis objektif terhadap kasus manajemen dan organisasi dalam perspektif akademik berupa hasil penelitian di bidang manajemen dan organisasi dalam perpektif akademik berupa hasil penelitian di bidang manajemen dan review terhadap konsep manajemen baru maupun implementasi konsep manajemen dengan studi literatur. Redaksi menerima naskah dari berbagai pihak untuk dimuat pada jurnal ini. Naskah yang masuk harus mengikuti Format Penulisan Naskah Jurnal Manajemen dan organisasi.

Abstract

It is important to manage and optimized working capital properly due its performance, risk implication and share value to the company. The tradeoff between profitability and liquidity determine the behavior of aggressiveness level of capital management of the company. Therefore, these study objectives are to identify the impact of cash conversion cycle on corporate financial performance and risk, and to identify the impact of aggressiveness level of capital management on corporate financial performance and risk. The study is focusing on 14 manufacture companies listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange. The study showed different result, which the cash conversion cycle was not significantly affecting corporate financial performance and risk; meanwhile the aggressiveness level of capital management was significantly affecting corporate financial performance and risk. Many of hypotheses were not able showed expected result due of limitation of sampling and short observation period or caused by the differences between companies in types, number of assets, liabilities, sales and credit policies.

Abstract

Social environment provides organization capability in knowledge creation, transfer and implementation which leading the company into successful knowledge management by providing competitive human capital. PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk as successful Indonesian company in Knowledge Management was awarded the Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) in Asia from 2005 until 2009. The study objectives are 1) to identify knowledge management implementation 2) to analyze the gap between perceived and actual implementation factors in knowledge management 3) to analyze social environment success factor in knowledge management implementation. The primary data collection methods were using questionnaires from 86 respondents and in depth interview with Learning Specialist of PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk, and secondary data were collected from journals, books, company annual year reports and other related literatures. There were five knowledge management implementation approaches used by the company: human resources development, learning environment as a culture, stakeholders’ knowledge as one of resources, community education and supported infrastructure and facilities. Statistical analysis showed there is no gap between perceived and actual implementation factors in knowledge management. And trust, autonomy, involvement and empowerment were the social environment key success factors in knowledge management implementation.

Abstract

Speedy as PT. Telkom Product is facing a high competition in internet services provider business. The product functional value is not sufficient to win the competition but it is need the internet service image as product image. Nowadays, Consumer perspective about product image is determined by their experiences. This is the reason behind Customer Experience Management (CEM) which defines as a process of managing customer experiences through company products or services. The factors of CEM are product, service, channel, promotion and brand. The research objectives at PT. Telkom Kandatel Bekasi are (1) to identify CEM factors of SPEEDY (2) to identify which CEM factors are influencing product image, (3) to indentify dominant CEM factor which influencing product imager (4) to recommend the effective implementation of CEM. The research showed 68,8 percent CEM factors were influencing Telkom Speedy image, which there are three factors e.g. product, promotion and brand were partially influenced Telkom Speedy image. Product was the most dominant factors of CEM which influenced image. The research recommended PT. Telkom to improve the quality of Telkom Speedy through speed of internet access improvement, front liners services, and promotion, to manage customer experience.

Abstract

PT. Pertamina (Persero) Shipping as shipping division of PT. Pertamina (Persero) since 1959 is affecting by a new transformation strategy of PT. Pertamina, as holding, to face the oil and gas regulation - UU No. 22 year 2001, which change Indonesian oil market from monopoly into competitive market. As competitiveness strategy, the transformation is a necessary condition to achieve PT. Pertamina goal to be world class Oil Company. Employee commitments to service and performance quality are critical factors to achieve its goal, which human resources quality will be improved by providing employee satisfaction. The research objectives at PT. Pertamina (Persero) Shipping were (1) to identify the level of employee satisfaction, (2) to analyze the Quality of Work Life (QWL) , (3) to identify the factor of QWL which influence employee satisfaction, and (4) to identify the factors need to be improve to achieve employee satisfaction. The primary and secondary data were collected from the company. The primary data was collected using interviewed by likert scale questionnaires. And the research samples are 187 respondents which taken from 323 population of employee at PT. Pertamina (Persero) Shipping by cluster random sampling technique at 5% standard error, and analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The study showed employee satisfaction level is good, which indicated by 3,70 score of total value of turnover, absenteeism, age, job level and organization size and 3,63 score on average value of all QWL variables. The SEM analysis showed job satisfaction variables such as communication, safety and conflict resolutions are influencing QWL. Other QWL factors were identify to be improve, by order are health, career development, employee participation, adequate compensation, pride and job security.

Abstract

Economic growth and public welfare are the reason of regional autonomy regulation policy (UU No 22 year 1999). The policy allows regional economic resources managed by regional government to achieve its goal. One of the regional government strategies is investment strategy, which in this case investing in banking industry. The purposes of the study are 1) to identify the investment regulation on regional government 2) to identify the Bank BJB business and investment environment 3) to identify the comparison of investment feasibility on Bank BJB versus other banks 4) to identify the position of Stock Share A series owned by XYZ at Bank BJB. The data collection methods are using structured interview, in depth interview, field survey and literature study. The analysis tools are using institutional analysis, SWOT analysis and financial analysis. Institutional analysis showed XYZ regional government investment management is limited to regulation as follow 1) long term capital (stock share) investment limited only at BUMD (e.g. Bank BJB) 2) short term investment e.g. saving and deposit is limited only at healthy and feasible bank, and government bond which has small risk exposure. The financial analysis also showed the increasing performance of BJB Earning per Share (EPS) and Return on Equity (ROE) from 2006 until 2010. The SWOT analysis support other analysis that BJB Bank position in financial industry is suitable for long term and short term investment for XYZ regional government. Base on explanation above, the conclusions are the autonomy regulation limited XYZ regional government to invest as shareholders in A series (stock share) or B series (stock share) at BJB Bank only, and for short term investment is limited only at healthy and feasible bank, and government bond which has small risk exposure.

Abstract

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) is one of popular university in Indonesia, it was concern to the provided of the human resources which have good quality and competent. That’s seven values of corporate culture are academic excellent, spiritualism, persevering, teamwork, empathy, responsible, and commitment. The objectives of this research are: (1) to identification organization culture in IPB, (2) to know the application of organization culture in IPB, (3) to recommend the model of internalization organization culture. This research used by descriptive analysis and Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) for analyzing internalization organization’s culture in Bogor Agricultural University. According to the survey, dept interview and literary analysis, the organization culture in IPB is including in power culture, person culture, and achievement culture. The application of organization’s culture in IPB is not maximal practice yet. The barrier of organization culture did not legitimate by Academic Senator, so the program that implementation organization culture is not yet. The factors that support organization culture in IPB is support from institution and human resource in IPB. The factor most influence in organization culture internalization in IPB is leadership. The actor most influence in organization culture internalization in IPB is head of university in IPB. The most influence objectives in organization culture internalization are actualization vision and mission organization. The alternative scenario in organization culture internalization is implementation learning organization in IPB.
