Jurnal Agronomi Indonesia merupakan media untuk publikasi tulisan asli yang berkaitan dengan budidaya tanaman secara luas, dalam Bahasa Indonesia maupun Bahasa Inggris. Naskah dapat berupa: hasil-hasil penelitian mutakhir (paling lama 5 tahun yang lalu), ulasan (review)singkat, analisis kebijakan atau catatan penelitian (research note) singkat mengenai teknik percobaan, alat, pengamatan, hasil awal percobaan (preliminary result).

Abstract

Tm-2 adalah gen yang mengendalikan ketahanan terhadap tomato mosaic virus (ToMV) pada tomat (Lycopersicon esculentum) dan berasal dari Lycopersicon peruvianum. Pada penelitian ini digunakan dua galur tomat yang mempunyai latar belakang genetik yang sarna GCR26 dan GCR3 6, akan tetapi keduanya dapat dibedakan oleh adanya gen Tm-2 pada GCR36. Melalui analisis random amplified-polymorphic DNA (RAPD) terhadap dua galur tomat tersebut di atas diketahui adanya primer RAPD yang menghasilkan fragmen spesifik untuk GCR236. Selanjutnya fragmen tersebut sekuennya dianalisis, dan dari hasil analisis sekuen tersebut dibuat sepasang primer sequence characterized amplified region (SCAR) Yang merupakan marka DNA kodominan yang bisa membedakan baik genotipe homozigot gen Tm-2. Oleh karena fragmen dihasilkan terkait dengan Tm-2, maka primer SCAR tersebut merupakan sarana yang dapat digunakan untuk pemulian tanarnan tomat bagi pembentukan varietas tahan virus.

Abstract

The stufy on the initiation and proliferation of somatic embryos from papaya (C. papaya L.) zygotic embryo explants was undertaken. Best results regarding initiation of embryogenic callus formation was obtained with 90 days after pollination (DAP) zygotic embryos. The medium were liquid and solid MS (0.5) medium containing glutamine (2.7 mM), 2,4-D (9 µM) and sucrose (170 mM) at 6 and 10 weeks after the start of the cultures. In this condition 90% explains produced embryogenic callus formation. The best medium for proliferation of somatic embryos was a liquid MS (0.5) medium containing glutamine (2.7 mM), sucrose (170 mM) in the presence of 2,4-D (9 µM). Using this medium, somatic embryos proliferated three times higher within two weeks.

Abstract

Estimation of cashewnut production in Yogyakarta Special District was very important in coming period, as well as with cost planning, income and marketing. This paper proposed one mathematical estimation method for estimating of cashewnut production in Yogyakarta Special District. The result shows that cashewnut production in that district would be 0.62 percent increasing every year on 1996-2001 period. Cashewnut production on 2001 was estimated to reach 315.62 ton. The correlation between estimating production (Y) with year to-t (X) on 1996-2001 had equation: Ln Y = 5.7055 + 0.0196 Ln X (r=0.74) Key word: Anacardium accidentale, L., planning area vast, productivity.

Abstract

The research was conducted at Seed Science and Technology Field Experimental and Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Bogor Agricultural University since January until July 1998. Randomized Block Design was used in this experiment which consist of two factors and three I replications. The first factors were row spacing 60 cm x 25 cm (J1) and 60 cm x 45 cm (J2) and the second factors were application of 100 ml paclobutrazol/plant with concentration 0 ppm (P1), 125 ppm (P2), 250 ppm (P3) and 500 ppm (P4). The plant height was increased at narrow spacing especially at 0 ppm paclobutrazol. Paclobutrazol application reduced plant height, increased stem diameter and it´s caused minimal lodging at generatif period. The highest seed production per plot was resulted at 60 cm x 25 cm with 250 ppm and 500 ppm of paclobutrazol (146 % and 155 % as compared with control treatment), and the highest seed production per plant showed at 60 cm x 45 cm and 60 cm x 25 cm with 500 ppm of paclobutrazol (197 % and 198 % compared with control treatment). Paclobutrazol125 ppm, 250 ppm, and 500 ppm increased flower diameter, number seed per flower, 1000 seed weight, germination capacity, and seed vigour. The optimum combination of treatment was showed at 60 cm x 25 cm and 250 ppm of paclobutrazol.
