Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of municipal waste compost on the growth and yield of mustard in Regosols. This research uses factorial experimental methods arranged in complete randomized design. The first factor is the origin of compost from TPS (waste disposal site) consisting of 4 levels namely: TPS Kalasan, TPS Gunung Kidul, TPS Kulon Progo and TPS Bantul. The second factor is compost dose consisting of 4 levels: control + NPK, 120 gram / plant), 180 gram / plant and 240 gram / plant. The results of the observation were analyzed by using analysis of variance (Analysis Of Variance). To know the different treatments were significantly analyzed using Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% level. The results showed that the composting of municipal waste from various TPS gave the same sprouts growth and yield. While the compost dose of 120 grams / plant has been able to suffice for the growth and yield of mustard plant spoon.?Keywords : Mustard spoon (Brassica rapa, L.), municipal solid waste compost, regosols.

Abstract

Indonesia population predicted to reach 304.9 million in 2035 and requires 70% more rice as food ?supply than ?today. ?The ?fulfillment ?of ?food ?supply? experienced ?constraints ?such ?as submergence and salinity caused by climate change. Salinity and submergence stresses may occur in the same time, and the crop response to them has not been widely known. Research has been done to find out the responses of rice to salinity and submergence. The submergence level as the first factor consists of three levels (without submergence (R0); one-week submergence ?(R1); ?And ?two-week ?submergence ?(R2)}, ?salinity? level ?as ?a ?second ?factor consists of two levels {non saline (S1); And saline (S2) to obtain six combinations and each combination is repeated three times. Observations were made on the ratio of the leaf area ratio, the typical leaf area, the canopy -root ratio, the typical leaf weight and the canopy growth rate of the canopy. The weight of grain per clump becomes the observed production parameter at the end of the generative phase. The results showed that there was interaction between submergence duration and salinity level on leaf area ratio, typical leaf area, and canopy-root ratio. Observation of typical leaf weight and relative growth rate showed the treatment of submergence and salinity gave an individual effect. Two weeks of submergence cause plant to death. The saline treatment in all submergence levels resulted in a decrease in the weight of grain per hill. Plants survived one-week non-saline submergence, but two weeks non-saline submergence caused the plant to die.?Keywords: Rice, salinity, submergence

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of oil palm empty fruit bunches fertilizer and NPK and their interactions on growth and yield of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L). The study was conducted in the garden of Education and Research Institute for Agriculture KP-2 STIPER Yogyakarta, located in the village Maguwoharjo, Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Sleman regency is located at LU 734.520 - 747.050 and 1070 LS 15'03 "BB - 110028 '30" longitude at an altitude ? 112 masl. The study was conducted during ? 3 months ie from April to July 2018. This study used a factorial experiment consisting of two factors and arranged in a completely randomized design or CRD 2 factorial. The first factor is fertilizer, oil palm empty fruit bunches consisting of T0 (control), T1 (50g / polybag), T2 (75g / polybag), T3 (100g / polybag). The second factor is the NPK fertilizer consisting of N0 (Control), N1 (2.5G / polybag), N2 (5g / polybag), N3 (10g / polybag). Of the two factors obtained 4 x 4 = 16 combination of treatments, each combination is repeated 3 times, so that the total number of plants in the study 4 x 4 x 3 = 48 polybag plants. The result shows that fertilizer and oil palm empty fruit bunches NPK showed no real interaction on all the parameters are parameters plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, number of pods, pod weight and pod length. Treatment fertilizer oil palm empty fruit bunches (75g / polybag) showed good results on the parameters of the number of leaves, pods, pod weight and pod length. NPK fertilizer (2.5G / polybag) showed good results on the parameters plant height, number of leaves, pods, and pods weight, while in the pod length parameter showed good results on NPK fertilizer (5 g / polybag) based DMRT at the 5% significance level. ?Keywords: Growth, production, chickpeas, empty oil palm bunches fertilizer, NP

Abstract

This research aims to know the dosage of herbicide glyphosate is effective and efficient against the sensitivity of Imperata cylindrica, Chromolaena odorata, Cyperus rotundus. This research was carried out on the fields of education and research (KP2) Institute for agriculture Stiper Yogyakarta which is located in the Subdistrict of Depok, Maguwoharjo, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta special region province. Implemented in December 2016 until January 2017. This study used a factorial experiment method which consisted of two factors, which are arranged in a randomized complete design (RAL), the first factor is a type of weed that consists of three types, namely, Imperata cylindrica, Chromolaena odorata, Cyperus rotundus. The second factor is the level of dose consisted of 3 levels namely controls, 5 l/ha, and 6 l/ha. The data were analyzed using a analysis of varience and to know the difference between the treatment performed testing using the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) on the real level of 5%. The results of the analysis of the three kinds of weed applied herbicide doses 5 l/ha and 6 l/ha glyphosate treatment, dosage 6 l/ha is efficient in controlling Cyperus rotundus, while treatment of glyphosate doses of 6 l/ha control Imperata cylindrica and effective Chromolaena odorata. Abstract

Kebutuhan air untuk irigasi dapat dipenuhi oleh sumber air sumur maupun air sungai. Oleh karena itu, keberlanjutan sumber air tersebut haruslah dipelihara. Salah satu upaya pengelolaan air adalah pengelolaan sumber imbuhan atau recharge air tanah. Sumber imbuhan air tanah dapat berupa air hujan, infiltrasi danau/air sungai di hulu maupun aliran lateral air tanah. Studi ini akan memaparkan penggunaan data isotop air dalam menentukan sumber imbuhan air tanah secara kualitatif. Selain itu, akan dipaparkan hasil analisis data isotope dengan menggunakan GIS. Data isotop air tanah diperoleh dari air sumur disebuah area pertanian buah buahan seluas 14 Ha. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa di daerah pertanian tersebut air tanah berasal dari air hujan setempat dan sumber air tanah dari aliran air tanah yang berada dihulu lokasi pertanian. Namun pada studi ini, belum dapat diketahui sumber mana yang lebih dominan. Sehingga dibutuhkan studi kuantitatif untuk menentukan rasio sumber imbuhan air tanah.Kata Kunci: Air tanah, Sumber Imbuhan, Isotop air, GIS

Abstract

The research aims to study of growth and yield jack bean (Canavalia ensiformis L.) as the substitution of soybean plants on the application of different inoculants and doses of urea fertilizer, has been carried out in Depok, Kretek, Bantul Special Region of Yogyakarta. The research was a factorial experiment arranged in Randomized Completly Block Design with four replications. The first factor was kind of inoculants, consists of two kinds: peanut and soybean Rhizobium inoculants, the second factor was doses of urea fertilizer consisted of three levels 25; 50 and 75 kg per ha. Observation variables include the number of root nodules, height of plant, fresh and dry weight of plants aged 6 and 10 weeks, the number and weight of pods, weight of seeds per plot, the index growth, absolute growth rate, harvest index and yield per hectare. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance followed by Duncan?s Multiple Range Test of 5 % significant level. Conclusion there was no interaction between kind of inoculants and doses of urea fertilizer of all variables. Inoculants do not enhance the growth and yield of jack bean, while the urea fertilizer of 75 kg urea per hectare improving growth and yield jack bean increase amounted to 42.64% of the application fertilizer urea 50 kg per ha.?Keywords : Growth, Rhizobium inoculant, jackbean, urea fertilizer, yield.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of Bio-slurry fertilizer on various types of soil to the growth of oil palm seedlings in pre-nursery. Factorial completely randomized design was used in this research. The first factor was the kind of soil, which consists of two levels: latosols and regosols. ?The second factor was the dose of Bio-slurry fertilizer consisting of four levels : 50 ml tan-1, 100 ml tan-1, and 150 ml tan-1 and standardfertilizers dosage (NPKMg and Urea) as a control. The results showed that Bio-slurry fertilizer can replace the role of inorganic fertilizer in spurring the growth of oil palm seedlings in pre-nursery. Abstract

Currently there are many companies that do to handling of sugar cane litter by burning. Burninf will affect the quality of land. Litter by scattering the land will restore the nutrients into the soil. This study aims is to find out the comparison of the influence of litter applications burned and litter scattered. The study was conducted at? Cinta Manis District of PTPN VII in April to June 2017. Secondary data such as plant growth and soil on treated litter treatment were obtained from Cinta Manis District Company. The soil data of litter treatment was scattered in the analysis at Chem-Mix Pratama Yogyakarta Laboratory in July 2017. The data analysis using T-Test by comparing between the two comparable values effect of the litter treatment was burnt and the litter treatment scattered to the soil and plant. The result of the analysis of variance showed no significant difference between the treatment on the parameters of stem size, stem height, stem diameter, stem weight, and cane productivity. The littered treatment of litter gave higher yield on the parameters of stem height, stem diameter, stem weight, and sugarcane productivity, compared to the treatment of litter burned. ?Keywords: Litter, burn, sugarcane

Abstract

The production of bunches fruit set in the palm oil is influenced by several factors such as water, nutrients and pollination. Sex ratio of an oil palm tree is affected by both genetic and environmental factors. Male and female inflorescences development are influenced by nutrients. The research was conducted with seven treatments nutrient formula for seventy stand to know fruit set development of oil palm. The number of male and female inflorescences have been calculated three months after fertilizer application. Increasing in male and female inflorescences as effect of several treatments of nutrient formula. Change in sex ratios to average 0,4 after treatments from? 0.5 before.
