Abstract

Estimation of the power/energy losses constitutes an important tool for an efficient planning and operation of electric distribution systems, especially in a free energy market environment. For further development of plans of energy loss reduction and for determination of the implementation priorities of different measures and investment projects, analysis of the nature and reasons of losses in the system and in its different parts is needed. In the paper, an efficient method concerning the power flow problem of medium voltage distribution networks, under condition of lack of information about the nodal loads, is presented. Using this method it can obtain the power/energy losses in power transformers and the lines. The test results, obtained for a 20 kV real distribution network from Romania, confirmed the validity of the proposed method.

Abstract

As the 750kV substation has the characteristics like timing inconsistency, dual protection configuration and uncertain diagnosis result, a fault diagnosis method of substation with redundant protection configuration based on time sequence fuzzy Petri nets is proposed. In this method, redundant knowledge about fault component is represented by using two sets of protective information. On that basis, component redundant diagnosis-model based on time sequence fuzzy Petri net is constructed, which can be decomposed into main and redundant subnet-model, in which initial-information credibility is determined by using information-entropy, the time sequence constraint is checked and initial-information credibility is corrected by using the relationship between acted protection and breaker. Compared with fuzzy Petri net diagnosis method taking no account of time sequence factor, the proposed method can not only identify the malfunction information, but also obtain a certain result.

Abstract

This paper addresses the LQG control problem for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) with time delays. In particular, the case with data-rate limitations is considered. It is shown in our results that the data rate of the communication channel has important effects on the control performances. It is derived that there exists a tradeoff between the data rate and the LQG cost.  A quantization, coding, and control scheme is proposed to stabilize the unstable plant. Simulation results show the validity of the proposed scheme.

Abstract

In this paper a recognition and tracing scheme for moving objects by video monitoring system was studied. During moving objects recognition, Multi frame sampling method was used to establish the initial background. Edges of the moving objects were drawn according to the changes of the images, and the influence factors for edges drawing were eliminated. In the end, tracing for moving objects could be realized by recognition of morphological characteristics. The experiments indicate that, for field environment, the number of collected frames between 120 to 180 could get better image background. The shadows of the moving objects are the main factor which influence detection of object edges, and they could be eliminated by Shadow edge detection operator. For vehicles tracing, adjacent frame matching method could be used to reflect the time-space transformation of the vehicles. This scheme could realize the recognition and tracing of moving objects by video monitoring system effectively.

Abstract

To solve customer complaints better for some telecommunication enterprises, a new and efficient approach through combined rasterization of Geography Information System (GIS) is presented in this paper. By the combined rasterization of surface features and landforms, the historical customer complaints and the real-time running state of network will be utilized to handle new complaints simultaneously. Also, an innovative process to handle complaints is proposed, too. The utilization of method and process will shorten the time of processing routine customer complaints. The experimental results show that the efficiency to process customer complaints will be improved greatly and the operation expenditure on customer services for telecommunication operators will be also decreased than before.

Abstract

An Information propagation model of micro-blogging is proposed for distinguishing normal and non-normal micro-blogging based on users’ interest excitation, which is abbreviated as IEPM(Interest Excitation Propagation Model for Information).The parameters of the model are clearly associated with the actual propagation and can reflect the characteristics of the propagation feature. The model can distinguish users’ non-autonomous behavior in the propagation process of micro-blogging, which can preliminarily judge that it is a non-normal marketing micro-blogging when it doesn’t meet the general propagation in the model. Quantitative analysis and experiment is performed with the dataset from the representative and typical non-normal micro-blogging in Sina micro-blogging, one of the most popular micro-blogging in China. The results show that the model can better reveal the general propagation laws of micro-blogging, and can distinguish normal and non-normal micro-blogging, which will have theoretical and practical significance to a certain degree.

Abstract

Metal magnetic memory technology was an important method for detecting the steel-cord conveyor belt early fault, characteristics of magnetic memory signal extraction is critical for judging of the conveyor belt failure. Generally using of magnetic memory signal maximum gradient value can quickly judge the stress concentration zone, but the magnetic memory signal is susceptible to effected by environmental and noise; In view of the weak and non-stationary characteristics of magnetic memory signal, this paper has proposed the singularity detection method based on wavelet transform modulus maximum for metal magnetic memory signal, the method could exactly judged the stress concentration zone of joints and located the fault points of the steel-cord belt, the characteristic gradient of magnetic memory signal and the Lipschitz exponent were extracted. The result of simulation indicated the technology was effectively for judging the stress concentration zone and fault point.

Abstract

In this study, the fine structures of lightning electromagnetic pulse associated with 19 preliminary breakdown pulses, 37 stepped leaders, 8 dart leaders, 73 first and 52 subsequent return strokes were analyzed by using Laplace wavelet. The main characteristics of field waveforms such as, the correlation coefficient, the time of arrival and the dominant frequency of the initial peak field, the energy and the frequency of the power spectrum peak are presented. The instantaneous initial peak field pulse can be precisely located by the value of the correlation coefficient. The dominant frequencies of the initial peak field of PB pulses and leaders range from 100 kHz to 1 MHz, and that of the first and subsequent return strokes below 100 and 50 kHz, respectively. The statistical results show that the Laplace wavelet is an effective tool and can be used to determine time and frequency of the lightning events with greater accuracy.

Abstract

Recently, the LCD applications have developed very rapidly, especially the application of the monochrome LCD in certain areas. This paper, on hardware, introduced the connection between monochrome LCD HEM160160-07C2 and ARM9-based AT91SAM9261; on software, respectively introduced monochrome LCD driver implementation based on GPIO and based on Framebuffer. By the two mode analysis, the mode based on Framebuffer is better, ultimately has been validated in the project experiment.

Abstract

We apply neural networks to locate initial sources of disturbances in network systems during coordinating them by a gradient coordination technique based on the earlier proposed necessary and sufficient coordinability conditions for locally organized hierarchies of dynamic systems. Thus we restrict spread of disturbances and save resources spent for maintaining of the system.
