Abstract

A LDPC code-aided frame synchronization algorithm based on likelihood ratio value threshold is proposed and analyzed in this paper. For soft information vectors with different frame offsets, the likelihood ratio value presenting the probability ratio of satisfaction of all check restrictions and dissatisfaction of all check restrictions are computed respectively, and then the point larger than a threshold is chosen as the final frame synchronization bounder. The method to select the threshold is studied theoretically and is analyzed according to simulation result. And Frame synchronization error ratio of new algorithm is derived. Compared to exiting LDPC code-aided frame synchronization algorithm based on maximum LLR, new algorithm saves synchronization searching time. Synchronization performance simulation results of new algorithm are given and analyzed.

Abstract

In order to accelerate the coding process of JPEG2000 and avoid encoding useless codes, a new algorithm is proposed for JPEG2000 rate control. This algorithm is improved by the model prediction algorithm.The code passes transmit the lowest frequency sub-band without distortion after wavelet decomposition. Then the proposed algorithm allocates the rate for the current code block accords to the number of coding passes and the weight of wavelet quantization. At last, it encodes the code block which brings the greatest amount of information preferentially, accords to the code block bit-plane relationship in the sub-band; In addition, the algorithm truncates the code-stream in real time during the encoding procedure. Compared with the PCRD algorithm, the experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm can greatly reduce the computation operation and encoding time.

Abstract

Plus with modulation (PWM) is widely used in proporational control systems for it is efficient, flexible and anti-interference. Due to the friction and hysteresis of electromagnet, hysteresis exists when hydraulic valve in steady-state, and hysteresis influences the dynamic characteristics of the valve seriously,the hysteresis can be improved by superimposing dithers with certain frequency and amplitude to the valve coil. Aiming at the character of anti-unloading power driver circuit ,this paper analyzed the parasitic dither which exists in ±24V PWM control,besides,the experiment shows that in a high frequency PWM, dither with independent frequency and amplitude can be generated by changing the frequency of the PWM, in this way, the dithers  and average current of coil  can be adjusted separately by changing PWM frequency and PWM duty cycle.

Abstract

Due to the nonlinear P-I characteristic of fuel cells, it is very important to implement a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controller for practical applications. Based on analyzing the output characteristics of fuel cell power system, this paper presents extremum seeking sliding mode control method for MPPT of fuel cell power system under variable temperature and water content conditions. The approach is a combination of the extremum seeking and sliding mode methods. The simulation results show that the approach improves clearly the tracking efficiency of the maximum power available at the output of the fuel cell modules. The new method reduces the oscillations around the MPP, which has shown better performances.

Abstract

The multilevel cascaded converters are extensively applied for high-voltage and high-power applications, which are considered as the most favorable topologies for the high power ac-drives and the high-voltage DC transmission (HVDC) systems using the voltage source converters (VSCs). This paper presents the dc capacitor balancing and effective current regulation methodologies for the multilevel cascaded converters. The dc-link voltage balancing and capacitor energy evolving mechanism of the MMCC is analyzed, and an effective control scheme is devised by utilizing two dc capacitor voltage control loops, including the total capacitor voltage controller (TCVC), the capacitor voltage balancing controller (CVBC). The predictive current controller is proposed to enhance the tracking accuracy of current control loop. The proportional-resonant controller (PRC) is used as circulating current damping controller of the modular multilevel converter, which is found to be highly effective to minimize the circulating current. The Electromagnetic Transient Program (EMTP) is utilized for digital simulation of the single-phase five-level modular multilevel converter. The effectiveness of the control scheme is validated by the simulation results.

Abstract

This paper presents a cost-effective vector control strategy for four switch three phase (FSTP) inverter fed a synchronous reluctance motor with conventional rotor (SynRM) drive. The reduction of the number of power switches from six to four improves the cost-effectiveness, volume-compactness and reliability of the three phase inverters. In this paper, a simulation model of the drive system is developed and analyzed in order to verify the effectiveness of the approach. The application of vector control to a SynRM at maximum torque control (MTC) operation is presented with emphasis on the effects of saturation and iron losses are briefly considered. A PI controller is used to process the speed error. Two independent hysteresis current controllers with a suitable hysteresis band are utilized for inverter switches signals. A simplified steady-state d-q model including saturation and iron losses is presented. Simulation results show that the drive system provides a fast speed response and good disturbance rejection capability.

Abstract

Adopting relatively simple motion control algorithm, helps reduce the cost of ultrasonic motor system including the drive control circuit, so as to promote its industrialization. For this purpose, this paper presents a simple model reference adaptive control strategy. The small amount of calculation of the policy, and with a certain degree of adaptive capacity, improves the system cost-effective.

Abstract

According to the requirements of the performance parameters of chongqing lifan E520 cars, electric vehicles with pure mechanical electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (CVT) were designed and developed. The power function of traction motor was designed firstly. According to the vehicle performance and motor parameters, matching parameters of CVT were calculated and confirmed. The parameters of maximum speed, acceleration time and gradeability of CVT were analyzed and compared. The parameters of the battery pack were designed according to the acceleration capability of electric vehicles, continued driving mileage. Currently, the electric vehicles equipped with pure mechanical electronically controlled CVT have passed the bench test and loading operation. These have proved that the dynamic design and driveline matching design in this paper were correct and achieved a predetermined operating performance and power performance indicator.

Abstract

Smart grid is the focus development direction of the national power grid construction, and remote power information collection is the important part of smart grid. The existing automatic meter reading system of remote electric power information collection has such problems as high cost, big power consumption, small networking and big line interference etc. Aim at these features, this paper proposes a new scheme of wireless meter reading based on GPRS, that is, the wireless communication module MC55 of SIMENS and STC89C58RD single chip are adopted as the core to develop a set of remote wireless meter reading system. The paper mainly introduces the overall design of the system, the hardware circuit and software design of each component, and the major software flow chart is given. The system has the characteristic of low cost, low power consumption, ad-Hoc network, self adaption, etc, and it has the strong portability and compatibility. Field test results show that the wireless meter reading system can finish the data collection and transmission task quickly and accurately, and has strong anti-interference ability and wide applicability.

Abstract

Today, automatic warehouse system gradually replaced manual labor, and played an important role in the production work, especially in the cargo handling work. It was important to research the time-consuming and efficiency of stacker in the automated warehouse system. This paper researched the path of stacker in automated warehouse and calculated the operation time of stacker working path according to actual working condition, and then put forward a route optimization method of stacker based on genetic algorithm, finally simulated this algorithm by using MATLAB. The simulation results showed that this algorithm could shorten the way of stacker, and increase the working efficiency of the warehouse.
