Abstract

A novel Integrated Motor Propulsor (IMP) is designed and analyzed in this paper. This IMP uses permanent magnet motor as its propelling machine , employs Halbach array on its rotor, and has a thinner rotor and bigger airgap. As owning complex structure and complicated working condition, IMP itself involves in the cross of multyple physics, and traditional analysis method can not meet with the needs in the design and calculation of this device. In this paper, A field-circuit-motion coupled time-stepping finite element analysis (FEA) model is presented to analyze the field-circuit coupled model of this device, cosidering influence from external circuit (for example, inverters). Multi-field coupling method is used and electromagnetism-thermal coupled model is established and direct coupling method is given to calculate electromagnetism-thermal coupling problem, considering interactions between two fields. At the end of this paper, according to the comparison between experiment and calculation results, effectiveness of the method presented above is verifid.

Abstract

The increased temperature of the cable insulation with rising load currents, are known to accelerate the formation of water and electric trees in cables which ultimately lead to cables failure. There are several factors which will determine the thermal and electrical behaviour of a given wet cable installation. These include the assumed ampacity, the cable construction and circumstances of installation, the thermal properties of the surrounding soil and the electrical properties. The work presented in this paper involves the use of COMSOL multiphysics finite element software to develop an integrated electrical, thermal model with 5micro meter and 2.5 micro meter water bubble radius. The presence of water tree results in the reduction of their dielectric strength. Here the finite element simulation technique is used to evaluate the electric field, potential and temperature distribution inside the 10 kV and 15 kV power cables. A model that illustrates the water-dielectric interface within the cable insulation system is proposed.

Abstract

Proposed in this paper is a dynamic resource-aware routing and frequency slots allocation scheme with consideration of both BER requirement and distance adaptive modulation (RA-BERR-DA) for spectrum-sliced elastic optical path networks (SLICE).Numerical simulations are conducted to analysis network performance such as blocking rate and the number of used frequency slots. The results demonstrate that this scheme is able to decrease traffic blocking and improve resource utilization in dynamic spectrum assignment.

Abstract

In the process of development of some technologies about Ubiquitous computing, the application of embedded intelligent devices is booming. Meanwhile, information security will face more serious threats than before. To improve the security of information terminal’s operation system, this paper analyzed the threats to system’s information security which comes from the abnormal operation by processes, and applied RBAC model into the safety management mechanism of operation system’s kernel. We built an access control model of system’s process, and proposed an implement framework. And the methods of implementation of the model for operation systems were illustrated.

Abstract

According to the situation that almost all the power quality systems (PQM) focus on the transmission network rather than the distribution network (DN), a distribution network power quality monitoring system (DNPQMS) based on metering automation systems is proposed in this paper. This DNPQMS can take full advantage of the power data collected by the existing intelligent terminals that set throughout the DN. The DNPQMS is divided into three parts, including equipment layer, data layer and application layer. The equipment layer consists of power quality monitoring devices, including the power quality monitoring device based on dual-CPU platform and intelligent terminals of other manufacturers. The data layer completes the power data storage and integrated that collected by the intelligent terminals. The application layer completes the day-to-day maintenance and management of the system as well as a number of advanced applications. The verification of the DNPQMS by application is presented at the end of the paper.

Abstract

The cost minimization with due dates in cloud computing workflow is an intractable problem. Taking the characteristics in cloud computing of pay-per-use and resource virtualization into account, in this paper, we present a QoS-based hybrid particle swarm optimization (GHPSO) to schedule applications to cloud resources. In GHPSO, crossover and mutation of genetic algorithm is embedded into the particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO), so that it can play a role in the discrete problem, in addition, variability index, changing with the number of iterations, is proposed to ensure that population can have higher global search ability during the early stage of evolution, without the premature phenomenon. A hill climbing algorithm is also introduced into the PSO in order to improve the local search ability and to maintain the diversity of the population. The simulation results show that the GHPSO achieves better performance than standard particle swarm algorithm used in minimize costs within a given execution time.

Abstract

Considering the mismatch and the high computational complexity of video mosaicing, a fast stitching method based on the normalized covariance is proposed. Firstly, the image corner features are extracted using the SURF algorithm and the corresponding matching points are found using the nearest neighbor method. The least square method is used to filter the matching points and accurately match the point-pair. And then, the homography matrix is got and can be used in finding the overlapping area of two images. The optimal homography matrix is obtained according to the normalization covariance and the bidirectional matching by which the video mosaicing is finished. Finally, the bilinear interpolation algorithm and the weighted average method are used to get a realistic and seamless image that retains high image resolution. The experimental results show that this algorithm can obtain better parameters estimation values and has smaller calculations as well as good robustness so as to stitch the video fast and seamlessly.

Abstract

To meet with the requirement in virtual rendering, an OpenFlight mesh generation method based on B-Rep model is proposed. The bridge construction method, which is flexible for arbitrary multi-loop regions, are employed on model planes. In order to get the closed parametric region for the curved surface, boolean trimming operations between surface grids and boundary poly-lines are implemented efficiently. Due to the node adjustment method, the mesh nodes on the public border are strictly matched, and no cracks are created on the joint of model boundaries. Experiments show that the proposed algorithm is satisfying in controlling the meshing count of the virtual objects.

Abstract

This paper studies an algorithm of automatic target tracking based on PTZ system. Select the tracking target and set up the target motion trajectory in the video screen. Along the motion trajectory, the system controls the PTZ rotation automatically to track the target real-timely. At the same time, it adjusts the zoom to enlarge or reduce to make sure the target can display on the video screen center clearly at the suitable size. By testing on groups of video, verify the effectiveness of the automatic target tracking algorithm.
