Abstract

This research is done in the secretariat of Lubuklinggau Municipal Assembly (Sekretariat DPRD Kota Lubuklinggau) and this thesis is held to fulfill the requirements for the degree of Magister at STIE MITRA Indonesia Graduate Program. The secretariat of Lubuklinggau Municipal Assembly (Sekretariat DPRD Kota Lubuklinggau) is one of the administrator or implementer element in Lubuklinggau government. So the situational objectives in this thesis is to improve the administration skill from 120 letter/month in 2003 become 200 letter/month in 2004. Based on the result the research about the readiness of 12 company standard function, hence it is known that the main problems faced by the secretariat of Lubuklinggau municipal assembly in achieving their main goal is that there are unready function and factor, among others: The understanding of municipal assembly‟s member towards their tasks or duties and function based on the regulation of municipal assembly‟s rule order and the regulation of law, so that there are difficulties in facilitate their task/duties, lack of state official or regular personel in the secretariat of municipal assembly, insufficient readiness of human resources in municipal assembly, limited tools or equipment and infrastructure to support municipal assembly‟s task, among othes: Projector, CD-room, and transportation, insufficient fund. From the result of analysis of problem above, the alternative solutions are: Optimize the utilities of resources available there, such as: human resources, equipment/infrastructure. Developing human resources in the secretariat of municipal assembly and municipal assembly‟s member, preparing well the task of the secretariat of municipal assembly in the future, including fund allotment, giving job motivation to the officials. In addition, the recommendations given are doing coordination toward the activities plan in order to solve the problem and to increase or to develop the implementation of function.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengangkat permasalahan tentang pemilihan bahan pembelajaran dengan objek kajian cerita rakyat Sumatera Selatan dan pengembangan model pengajaran Respons Penyimak dalam pengajaran apresiasi sastra cerita pada siswa kelas I SLTP di Kota Lubuklinggau. Untuk itu, ada dua metode penelitian yang digunakan: Pertama, metode analitis-deskriptif, yaitu untuk mengkaji secara teoritis kesesuaian pemilihan bahan ajar cerita; Kedua, metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) untuk melihat secara empiris kesesuaian pemilihan bahan dan ketepatan penggunaan model pembelajaran Respons Penyimak pada siswa kelas I SLTP di Kota Lubuklinggau. Ada dua SLTP yang digunakan sebagai tempat penelitian, yaitu SLTP Negeri 1 dan SLTP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau. Hasil analisis data dan pembahasan terhadap hasil penelitian diperoleh simpulan: (1) pemilihan bahan apresiasi sastra cerita dengan objek kajian cerita rakyat daerah Sumatera Selatan sesuai untuk siswa kelas I SLTP di kota Lubuklinggau, bahan dapat menarik minat dan memotivasi siswa, terlebih dengan penggunaan sarana atau media pembelajaran berupa kaset rekaman pembacaan cerita, siswa lebih dapat terfokus perhatian dan konsentrasinya untuk menyimak cerita; (2) penerapan Model Respons Penyimak yang dikembangkan dalam tindakan penelitian menunjukan keefektifan. Ini terlihat dari pelaksanaan proses pengajarannya dan hasil kegiatan siswa merespons cerita. Dari proses pengajarannya, siswa telah dapat terlibat langsung dalam proses pemaknaan karya sastra. Dari hasil merespons cerita, hasil diskusi siswa menunjukan respons yang bersifat sementara, relatif dan variatif; dan hasil tes siswa menunjukkan perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik, hasil tes akhir lebih baik dari hasil tes awal dan tes akhir setiap siklus pembelajaran selalu meningkat.

Abstract

Sihombing, Elsina. developed AFM in 2008 at SMA YADIKA SOUTH SUMATRA. The method was carried out in the experiment of 720 minutes (every week except days off, in a mount of 90 minutes per week for 8 weeks). It was handled by 2 English teachers who have been selected through YADIKA STANDARD on the basis of undergraduate degree with the average grade of GPA on 2.75. Since the writer was the „Principal‟ in that school at that time, so she directly supervised those two English teachers in applying the method discussed. Before applying such a method, both of them weretrained by the writer as their supervisor and as their principal as well for 15 hours; 1.5 hours a day for 10 days. This program was only focused in 8 weeks using AFM purely toward 2 classes of 38 students per each at the tenth grades. Each of the two teachers handled one class from the starting point until the end of the program. The main purpose of conducting this action research was to prove whether AFM was significantly effective or not. Practically, the writer gave hand books to students and the teachers as well, then, they were drilled by using AFM. As the result of this action research, the students speaking achievement increased (100% ) mastered ±500 words, (100%) could express their feeling, condolence, the condition of themselves, the condition of family, and other related topics. The students became able to communicate in English (>90%), got high motivation to learn (>95%), became able to break the ice(>95%), the students and the teacher competed positively to increased their motivation to learn.

Abstract

Pelajaran fisika atau pelajaran IPA secara umum dipandang sebagai mata pelajaran yang kurang memberi manfaat bagi siswa SMK kelompok Teknologi dan Industri. Hal ini mengakibatkan motivasi belajar siswa sangat lemah untuk mengikuti pelajaran IPA secara baik, apalagi ditunjang dengan perolehan bidang keahlian yang sering tidak sesuai dengan keinginan siswa, terutama yang mendapatkan bidang Teknik Bangunan. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan strategi pembelajaran dengan metode dan pendekatan yang tepat untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Inilah yang menjadi latar belakang pemilihan pendekatan STM dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain “The OneGroupPretest-Postest Design”. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas II TB2 SMKN 1 Curup. Untuk melihat keefektifan pendekatan pembelajaran yang dieksperimenkan, digunakan acuan ketuntasan hasil belajar, peningkatan skor (gain), serta respons siswa dan guru terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran melalui pendekatan STM. Dari hasil skor akhir untuk tes penguasaan konsep dan sikap kepedulian terhadap lingkungan, hasil belajar siswa mencapai ketuntasan. Namun, untuk tes kreativitas, siswa belum mencapai ketuntasan belajar, juga dari hasil analisis berdasarkan skor total. Gain skor tes penguasaan konsep, kreativitas, dan sikap kepedulian cukup tinggi, dan melalui analisis uji t terhadap rata-rata skor tes penguasaan konsep, kreativitas, dan sikap kepedulian, diperoleh: semua rata-rata skor akhir lebih baik dari pada skor awal secara signifikan. Respons siswa dan guru, yang diperoleh melalui angket dan wawancara, sangat baik. Pada umumnya, terutama siswa merasa senang mengikuti proses pembelajaran Energi dan Daya Listrik melalui pendekatan STM dan berminat untuk mengikuti pembelajaran berikutnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan dari rumusan masalah terkait adakah hubungan positif dan signifikan antara dukungan teman sebaya dan minat belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasi, karena di dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan ada tidaknya hubungan antara lingkungan teman sebaya dan minat belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP Negeri 4 Lubuklinggau. Dalam penelitian ini ada dua variabel bebas dan satu variabel terikat.Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah lingkungan teman sebaya (X1) dan minat belajar (X2), sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah prestasi belajar (Y). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara teman sebaya dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 4 Lubuklinggau, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.479. dan terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara minat belajar matematika dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 4 Lubuklinggau, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.362.

Abstract

The problem in the development of teaching and learning innovation in the classroom is Is it effective to use integrated expository and heuristic strategy in increasing the eleventh grade students fokltale comprehension at SMA Al Ikhlas Lubuklinggau. This teaching and learning innovation development was to find out to what extent the integrated expository and heuristic strategy increased the eleventh grade students folktale comprehension at SMA Al Ikhlas Lubuklinggau. The development of this teaching and learning inovation was carried out in three cycles with two meeting for each. The finding of pretest showed that among students, 10 students (24,39%) exceeded the score of 65 or more, and 31 students (75, 61%) got score less than 65. While the average score was 50,01. In the first cycle, there were 15 students (36,58%) exceeded score65 or more and 26 students (64,41%) got less than 65. The average score was 60,05. In the second cycles, there were 25 students (60,97%) exceeded score 65 or more and 16 students (39,02%) got less than 65. And the average score was 64,05. In the last cycle, there were 36 students (87,80%) exceeded score 65 or more and 5 students (12,19%) got less than 65. While the average score was 78,50. From the findings, it is found there was …… of increasing of students! Comprehension. Thus, it could be concluded that the integrated expository and heuristic strategy is effective in increasing the eleventh grade students folktale comprehension at SMA Al Ikhlas Lubuklinggau

Abstract

The problem of this study were “what is the character of Darius in the novel Heart of the Night? And how is the influence of social attitude toward the main character Darius as reflected in Richard OH’s Heart of the Night?” Therefore, the objective of this study were to describe the characteristics of the main character “Darius”in the novel Heart of the Night, and to find out the influence of social attitude toward the main character Darius as reflected in Richard OH’s Heart of the Night. The writer used descriptive qualitative in this research. In analyzing the data, sociological approach was used to analyze the influence of social attitudes toward the main character “Darius”. The instrument of this research was the researcher herself as thehuman instrument. The writer found out the influence of social attitudes toward the main character “Darius”. The main character Darius get negative and positive influence of social attitudes. The influence negative of social attitudes toward Darius was arrogant, strange of behavior, drinks the alcohol, and temperamental. And in positive influence of social attitudes toward Darius namely tried to move on, care, and he was a best friend.
