Abstract

Dermatoglyphic has been widely applied to recognize a person's identity, because people basically have something unique or characteristic possessed only by themselves. This raises the idea of making it a unique identity. This is useful for employees presence applications, especially at Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Klas IIA Palu which is still doing manual presence. This system provides the division of labor time and wereable to detect the fingerprints of employees using a fingerprint scanner. The system was made in several stages of the input fingerprint image, binarization fingerprint image, fingerprint image quality improvement, and matching fingerprint image. Improvements to the quality of the fingerprint image consists of the surgical process of mathematical morphology opening and erosion. The detection process of the fingerprint image used euclidean distance measurement points minutiae. The test results indicate that the presence system accuracy using euclidean distance measurement could detect the fingerprint image by 89% from 20 fingerprint data with 5 times testing for each data.

Abstract

Calculating the number of visitor, in a place or room is not easy. In line, it also occurs when we want to count the number of visitors in library. To know whether the number of visitor in library increases or not, the researcher formulated system that was used to count the visitor. It was Haar Like Features method. This method was used to count the number of visitor in library in a day. In this study, Haar Like Features method was implemented to detect human as object. Beacuse of that, it had function as human object ditector and visotor ditector. By using this method, the librarians felt easier when they counted the visitor in a day. They also could calculate whether the number of visitor in library increased or not.

Abstract

Accompanied by the development of information technology, communication technology has developed rapidly. One sector that is developing in the field of tourism which contributes to more interactive information through the internet. Where Maybrat Regency has considerable tourism and cultural potential, it is managed by the Maybrat Regency Tourism and Culture Community which is very useful if managed well and effectively. This is to improve the economy of the community, the quality of human resources, through tourism assistance that enables increased regional pride. Accurate presentation of the area that can be used to increase revenue in the region itself. Now there is not enough information about tourist objects in Maybrat Regency so that not many tourists and people know the potential of tourism objects. The system development model used is the prototype model. By building interfaces using Adobe Dreamweaver CS6. The database is stored using php and displayed via XAMMP. This system is also built on the framework of a system that is a code igniter.

Abstract

Abstrak. Kemajuan teknologi informasi yang semakin luas serta adanya tuntutan akan kebutuhan data yang diperlukan oleh user menyebabkan informasi harus disajikan dengan cepat dan objektif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi yang diperlukan. Masalah yang dihadapi pada penyajian materi yang berupa script pemrograman saat ini adalah sistem penyajian informasi yang statis, hal ini membuat proses belajar kurang efisien. Untuk mendapatkan performa yang baik dalam proses belajar, maka dibutuhkan sebuah sistem tutorial yang mampu mengeksekusi script pemrograman secara interaktif. Untuk mengeksekusi perintah dengan baik, diperlukan traffic data yang berukuran kecil sehingga server dapat bekerja dengan lebih leluasa dan dapat merespon request yang lebih cepat. Sistem tutorial ini dikembangkan dengan bahasa pemrograman ajax dan metode web service guna mendapat performa pemrosesan yang lebih baik. Sistem tutorial pemrograman web yang dikembangkan menyediakan contoh script atau kode pemrograman web yang dilengkapi dengan deskripsi atau penjelasan. Selain itu, sistem ini juga memiliki kemampuan untuk mengeksekusi contoh program yang disajikan guna mendapatkan hasil outputnya. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan tutorial pemrograman web sebagai model sistem penunjang pendidikan yang lebih cepat, efektif dan praktis karena dapat digunakan oleh siapa saja, dimana saja dan kapan saja.

Abstract

Remission is a reduction of criminal punishment given to prisoners who have been regulated in the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. The process of giving scores to inmates in Class IIA Palu Correctional Institution with certain criteria aims to facilitate the employees of Palu Class IIA to get recommendation of remission of prisoners. The decision support system in this research uses Technique for Order Preference method by Similiarity to Ideal Solution ( TOPSIS) which is one of the multicriteria decision-making methods, where the basic idea of this method is that the chosen alternative has the closest distance to the ideal solution and the furthest from the ideal negative solution. In determining the inmates who receive remission recommendation in Correctional Institution Class IIA Palu there are 6 criteria which become the basis of decision making such as health condition, special skill and leadership skill, social life, never breaking order and not being a recidivist. The final result in this study is the result of calculation of proximity relative to the ideal solution that is sorted from the highest value to the lowest value so that employees of Correctional Institution Class IIA can easily take a decision on remission recommendations by looking at the results of the sorting

Abstract

Departement of Information Technology Tadulako University, currently does not have a digital repository system that can accommodate the work of student either in form of paper, research report, and scientific posters at the moment. Various of student works is stored in form of physical archives which is definitely risky to get damaged, lost, difficult to access by other students. The existence of a digital repository system can also be used as a benchmark media to develop student creativity in producing scientific work. Searching mechanism is one of the crucial parts in a repository system. There are several commonly used algorithms such as Depth-First search and Breath-First search. Each algorithm have deficiencies and advantages. Therefore, to optimize the searching mechanism on the proposed digital repository system, the author purpose using the DepthFirst search and Breath-First search hybrid algorithms. The result of this study are the design of a prototipe repository system that able to manage and store student scientific documents archive digitally. This system also has a fast and accurate data search fiture.

Abstract

The utilization of a 3 phase induction motor is increasingly developing, so research on speed regulation in 3 phase induction motors is also increasingly widely studied. This is because the use of 3 phase induction motors in the industry and especially hybrid vehicles are increasingly being developed. But there are some disadvantages of induction motors, one of which is the characteristics of non-linear parameters, especially rotor resistance which has varying values for different operating conditions, so it cannot maintain its speed constantly if there is a change in load. This, of course, can affect the performance of an induction motor. To get a constant speed and better system performance on load changes a controller is needed. This study aims to model direct-quadrate parameters (D-Q) using the Field Oriented Control (FOC) method based on the Proportional-Integral (PI) controller. With the d-q parameter controlled, the induction motor will be more stable, because the d-q parameter determines the stability of the change in torque and flux in the induction motor. Proportional-Integral (PI) control used is a classic control system that is easy because it does not need to look for a mathematical model of the system, but it remains effective because it has a fairly stable system response, by setting the best combination of proportional (Kp) constants and Integrator constants ( Ki). In the results of the implementation, it can be seen that the use of FOC can be used as an approach in terms of setting the speed of the induction motor, and with the use of the PI control can help the output response get better with a shorter response time to reach the reference value.

Abstract

Scheduling lectures is a very important activity to do because all teaching and learning activities depend on the schedule so that it must be done correctly in order not to interfere the teaching and learning activities between lecturers and students. This study aims to implement the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm to create a scheduling system for the lectures at the Information Technology Department, Faculty of Engineering, Tadulako University which can facilitate the scheduling process of the lectures and can produce optimal schedules. The scheduling system made will follow the rules and policies which are applied at Tadulako University. The Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm can be used for scheduling system for the lectures at the Information Technology Department, Faculty of Engineering, Tadulako University, although it cannot yet produce an optimal solution because there are still soft constraints that are violated. The best combination of parameter values in the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm, namely the parameter value w = 0.7, c1 = 1.5, c2 = 1.5 with a successful schedule made with a fitness value of 0.034 with execution time (214).

Abstract

This study aims to build application that is able to provide information on the location of culinary tourism, shopping and recreation center for the area of Palu City that runs on the Android platform and able to show the closest path to be traversed in order to help tourists or newcomers who are not too familiar with the city of Palu. Determination of the shortest route in this application using Dijkstra algorithm. This algorithm is used to find the shortest path on a directed graph. This algorithm uses the Greedy principle which states that at each step we choose the minimum-weighted side and put it into the solution set.

Abstract

The East Java Governor Election 2018 is also felt in the virtual world especially Twitter. All people freely argue about their respective governor candidates, memorandum raises many opinions, not only positive or neutral also negative opinions. Media growth is so rapid, revealing a lot of online media from the news media to social media. Today's social media is not only used of friendship, but also for other activities. Promos of trading or buying and selling, until political party promos or campaigns of candidates for regents, governors, legislative candidates until presidential candidates. The research objective is to conduct a method of Sentiments Analysis for Governor candidates East Java 2018 in twitter with optimal and maximum optimization. While the benefits are to help the community conduct research on opinions on twitter which contains positive, neutral or negative sentiments. Sentiments Analysis for Governor candidates East Java 2018 in twitter using non-conventional processes that save costs, time and effort. The results of Khofifah's dataset are 77% accuracy, 79.2% precision, 77% recall, 98.6% TP rate and 22.2% TN rate. For the results of GusIpul dataset, accuracy is 76%, precision 74.4%, recall 76%, the TP rate is 93.8% and the TN rate is 52.9%.
