Abstract

This research was conducted in Konda Subdistrict, South Konawe Regency from July to August 2017. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of farmer participation in planning agricultural extension programs in Konda Subdistrict, South Konawe District. The population of agricultural contacts is 118 people and the number of contact samples of selected farmers is 32 people plus 1 informant namely Field Extension Officer (PPL), sampling technique is done randomly using the method (Simple Random Sampling) of the total population 118 and Number of respondents taken as a sample of 32 people. Data analysis techniques used are quantitative and quantitative by tabulating and presented. Based on the description of the discussion from the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the level of farmer contact participation in planning agricultural extension programs in Konda Subdistrict is generally classified into the medium category (53.12%), in the low category (37.5%), and in the category high as much (9.37%) Forms of farmer contact participation in giving and receiving information Generally classified as high (50%), in the moderate category as much (34.37%), and in the low category as much (15.62%). Participation in giving responses and suggestions is generally classified as low (50%), in the moderate category as much (34.37%), and in the high category as much (15.62%). While participation in planning extension programs is generally classified as moderate (56.25%), in the low category as much (25%), and in the high category as much (18.75%).

Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of low productivity of paddy fields cultivated by Tolaki in the village of Mata Wolasi. The purpose of this study was to determine the activities undertaken during the production process carried out. Research carried out in July 2017. Types of data used were primary data and secondary data. Data analysis was used by descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the practice of dryland paddy cultivation Tolaki community in District Wolasi done with traditional tools and tools ranging from land processing to harvest. Processing of land, planting, and harvesting was done in mutual assistance, while weed cleaning and plant pest control were done by farmer and farmer's wife. The cultivation time was done for one to four months, planting done one day, weed cleaning is done for one month and harvest is done for two to three days. The practice of paddy field cultivation by Tolaki community doesn’t use fertilizer and not in accordance with a recommended suggestion.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the inhibiting factors for the welfare of farmers in the village of Sangia Makmur, District Bombana Kabaena Utara District in the village of Sangia Makmur, North Kabaena district, Bombana district. The population in this study was rice farmers. The sampling method was carried out in a simple random sampling of 30 people. Data obtained in this study were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The inhibiting factor for the welfare of rice farmers in the village of Sangia Makmur is, the variables of the Number of Families, Land Area, and Capital Loans have a significant correlation with welfare. Based on the results of the discussion on the relationship of welfare inhibiting factors to the welfare of lowland rice farmers in Sangia Makmur Village, a conclusion can be drawn that the welfare of paddy rice farmers in Sangia Makmur Village can be categorized as being in the poor line but some farmers are still constrained by the high number of family dependents, loans capital, and land area. Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in social capital in the three types of families in Mantigola village and family type that will be vulnerable to social capital. Data processing that has been obtained using qualitative analysis using the daily diary of research results then reduced and analyzed through livelihood capital (social capital). The results of this study indicate the differences in social capital owned by each type of family. The extended family (extended family) is a very strong family on all aspects of social capital. The nuclear family will be vulnerable to social capital based on the social status on the part of ascribing status and social networking based on the relationship of social capital, and the widow family (single family) of the most vulnerable families as the single family is only strong in social capital. Social networking on the part (social capital bond)

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the proportion of food and non-food household expenditures of poor and non-poor farmers in Raimuna Village, Maligano Subdistrict, Muna Regency and the factors that influence food and non-food expenditure, both poor and not poor. farmers either simultaneously or partially. The population in the study of all farm households in Raimuna Village, Maligano District, Muna Regency was 226 families. Sampling in this study using the Slovin formula is Stratified Random Sampling. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the income factor, the number of family members has a significant/significant effect on food expenditure. while the education of the family head and dummy did not significantly influence food expenditure. For non-food income factors, the number of family members and dummy farmer groups has a significant effect on non-food expenditure. while the education of the head of the family does not significantly influence the variable non-food expenditure.
